I needed a lawyer badly and thought I would try this service. They said they needed $2. To set up an account now they have charged me $95. And they are trying to do it again! When I call the number I get a recording. They have never given me anything but grief no legal advice no legal help nothing but headaches when I am already going thru a rough time duh that’s why I need a lawyer. Stay as far as you can away from these people! Unless you want to give your cc info to a bunch of crooks. They should be ashamed of themselves taking advantage of ppl who are already in bad situation. No wonder why ppl don’t like lawyers! Their responses to many reviews is … We do not get involved in the agreements between attorneys and clients or the actual representation of clients. Lawyers not knowledgeable of the files sent to them and attentive to facts.
The lawyers were not attentive to details. They just wrote a response to a headline without actually looking at the facts. I sent files and asked for a paid consultation and the files I sent to the lawyer were not even read beforehand, so I had to go through the whole case and watch while he read the files. And for a supposed litigator, he took great pains and a LOT of my time to explain that I had a horrible case. That in itself is fine because one does not want to litigate if you have a bad case. What I cant accept is that it took him so long to come to that conclusion becuase he had not read the files I sent him. And in the end he droned on about Texas court history and wasted my time on my dime. The other 4 lawyers had no idea or relevant experience about the area of law my case involved. Sad, and a waste of my money.

I called back she said they dont do civil Rights claims and that the intake need 25,000 up front to file an appeal which was a civil rights violation case she clearly noted my notes of politicle influence.

I used legal match, trusting that they would help me find an attorney. I got two referrals. The first attorney spammed me with their accomplishments. And then told me they couldn’t help me before I even got a consultation. And the second attorney had terrible reviews. And wanted to charge me $300 for a consultation fee fee. So I did the work myself and it was pretty easy to find attorneys that have better ratings, no consultation fees, and my inbox isn’t getting spammed.

I started on Legal Match in January and have experienced issues with their service, specifically, that clients' leads have disconnected phones, wrong numbers, and undeliverable emails. On top of that, the few leads who do answer respond at unreasonable times, like 1 am or on weekends. I have raised this issue with them several times, and they have blamed me, saying I take too long to respond to clients. However, it's very discouraging to have leads that go nowhere, and I told them I have to choose between existing clients who generate money and a platform that is making me bleed money. The contract states that the only way that I can get out of it is if my State bar writes a letter saying that I can't participate in this type of service because it's unethical; however, I consider this unfair because it puts me in a delicate situation. The other options are to buy out or transfer, neither of which is available to me because I do not have the money, nor im willing to transfer this service to anyone. I blocked them on all my credit cards, but I need help. Would appreciate any assistance

I have requested to cancel my account and a refund. There is not a phone number for customer service nor does the website allow you to cancel. Very strange and not on the up and up.

A handful of privileged silver spoon early career attorneys will reach out seeking to extract dollars from you. I listed I am not looking to throw hundreds at an attorney before I know how they can help me specifically, but the ones who reached out to me were trying to force me to schedule $150-600 initial consultations. If you don’t have hundreds of dollars to throw at an initial consultation with one of these greedy silver spoon assholes, they won’t help. It’s sad the majority of people who have the privilege in life to become attorneys only use their skills to extract & enrich, not to help and hold accountable. My case is very strong, they just don’t care about anyone but themselves. F* LegalMatch, don’t waste your time on the bad, greedy attorneys that will reach out to you through there.

LegalMatch WON'T HONOUR its guarantee to clients, impossible to contact
UPDATE: LegalMatch communicated with me briefly on LinkedIn, but when I persisted in asking them to fulfill their Satisfaction Guarantee and take the steps as outlined in their own Guarantee, they stopped messaging me. They only exist for the lawyers. They are as much as a scam as the lawyer I hired through their service.

When a lawyer I found via LegalMatch started scamming me, LegalMatch refused to honour their Satisfaction Guarantee (this review won't allow me to include the direct link to it, but it exists as of 2026, Jan 12).
It was almost impossible to find a way to contact customer service, but even when I did, nobody replied to my emails. I finally had to message them on LinkedIn, where they then stated that it's not their job to oversee individual lawyers.I wasn't asking them to oversee my scammy lawyer. I was asking for them to fulfill the promise they made to people who use their service

Law Firms - Do not hire - deceptive marketing cold calls
For some reason Legal Match decided to start calling my law firm this year after we'd been in business over 10 years.
What angers me is that they keep telling my receptionist that they "have done business with me," "have a case they want to discuss with me," or "are calling about a potential client." These are just lies to get around my receptionist and intake team that screen marketing cold calls because they're a waste of my time.
I did end up talking with one of the agents eventually because Legal Match wouldn't stop calling my intake team and claiming they were a client and would ONLY talk to one specific lawyer at my firm. This of course was complete BS. I went through their pitch and explained that I don't work with paid leads companies that won't do Month to Month. If you stand by your product, you know people will continue to pay for it. If you don't, you need long term contracts. The sales agent I eventually spoke with was nice enough, but I really really do not appreciate marketing people lying to my intake or receptionist, even bending the truth, just to get to me. If you have a good product you don't need to do that.
Take your money and invest in your own branding and marketing campaigns.
12/22/25 Update - LegalMatch continues to call my firm and use the same tactics described above, despite leaving a response below that they've removed us from their list. Their customer service seems to be as dishonest as their sales people.
12/30/25 Update - I emailed their corporate and legal departments to get them to remove us from their call list like their response to this review claims. They have not done so and continue to call my intake team, lying to try and get past them. I am now doing what I told them I would do and leaving negative reviews elsewhere every time they call us and waste our time. 10/10 do not work with these scammers!

Two weeks of ignored outreach
Seven months ago, LegalMatch referred my boyfriend to an attorney for a complex case. She was disbarred last month, now faces up to 20 years in prison, and his family paid her over $25,000—before her alleged felony assault.
When we noticed red flags early on, he called to voice concerns. He was transferred to complaints manager “Jim.”
When Jim began raising his voice and berating him, he started recording the call.
Jim dismissed his concerns, told him he knew her personally, and that he was “lucky to have her.” When my boyfriend tried to respond, Jim cut him off: *“No, no, no Matthew. Period. End of story.”* Then: *“This is going nowhere. Have a good day.”* Click.
We’ve spent the last two weeks calling and emailing LegalMatch trying to get answers. Every number goes straight to voicemail. No one has responded.
He’s now navigating complex litigation pro se while managing serious health issues.

Do not use this platform. Get a local referral.
I would not use this platform ever again. This first part is about Legalmatch. They do not have effective controls in place to regulate attroney quality. They offer a guarantee but they aren't available for any support. The 775 legalmatch phone number rings an outdated answering machine and clients are instructed to leave a voicemail which they do not respond to.
Second, the attorney quality is low. We were referred to an attorney who was retired and living abroad. He took payment for a consultation then went quiet for two days. We had to follow up three times to get a scheduled appointment. Then he showed to our scheduled paid consultation 35 minutes late! During this paid call, it became clear immediately that he had not even reviewed the materials that we provided. As a result he was not prepared to address most of the questions in the brief that we provided effectively. That is the kind of attorney that uses this platform.
I would not recommend it to anyone.
