This radio is an opportunist media
This radio is an opportunist media. They select sensationalist topics and express controversial views. This is daily mail in radio format. The issue is not the freedom of expression, the issue is that this radio is becoming a platform to influence public opinion and set the news agenda. In some cases, some of the callers are absolutely awful, some of the views expressed by the broadcasters are often biased, dismissive, disrespectful, and propagandists. Ian dale and nick Ferrari are absolutely awful in a objective way, irrespective of your political views.

PENSIONS ARE GOING DOWN and
TORIES HAVE STARVED LOCAL GOVT OF FUNDS OVER 14 YEARS.
I've complained to OFCOM.
A disgrace to bad journalism.
No wonder LBC is loosing listeners.

Sold out!
What happened to this great station? Now it’s just adverts every 5 minutes. Won’t be going back.
Matthew Wright is useless and just…
Matthew Wright is useless and just talks over all callers
Current line up is by far the worst ever
apart from Ferrari
More biased than BBC
Do we need to be served up every 15mins…Enough is enough!
Do we need to be served up every 15mins with more or less the same news content from the most irritating news reader ‘plumb in mouth’ Amelia Cox!
Give us a break once an hour is more than enough thank you very much.
Biased views…
The viewpoints of some of the presenters are biased and argumentative even when some callers are speaking sensibly with compassion and integrity
Tuned in to LBC
Tuned in to LBC, this guy was saying his case and because they didn't want to hear or didn't agree what this guy was saying that cut him offfHorrible presenter's
Politics Who Cares
Politics, politics and more politics... that is all LBC seems to talk about these days. I tune in once and while to see if anything interesting is on, but it's always the same, politics! Who said what, who did what, who resigned, who should resign, who the new Tory leader, we need an inquiry etc...This is just lazy journalism, I could tune out for a month or two and when I tune back in it just the same conversations over and over again, different players but the same conversations. I grew up with Walter Cronkite, Dan Rather, Peter Jennings, Clive James, Alistair Cooke, BBC World Service etc...journalists and journalism you could trust and believe...outside of London and the Westminster bubble, nobody is really that interested. I feel sorry for you really, because a constant diet of politics will depress you and make you unhappy...I only put it on now when I have trouble getting to sleep.💤💤💤
Rudeness is not attractive
Not a fan of presenters who are condescending and quite frankly downright rude to callers.
It’s like the Sun newspaper in radio…
It’s like the Sun newspaper in radio form, Andrew Castle had a humanity and was a congenial host, not so with Mr Wright, awful show, and as the Dragon would say “I’m out” !
They implement stringent pre-filtration…
They implement stringent pre-filtration processes before allowing callers on-air. If the producers believe a caller's points are too challenging and might put the presenter at a disadvantage, they may not allow the caller to participate, and might even block the number. This has happened to me a couple of times. Consequently, I found myself having to mislead the producers to get on-air. However, once I expressed a differing opinion, they abruptly ended my call, citing a dropped line. LBC is funded by a variety of sources and promotes a narrative they believe represents the views of the entire UK. I think they underestimate the British public's understanding and insights on various topics.
Whenever they discuss the Israel and Palestine topic, the majority of the callers seem to have an Israeli background. Presenters, such as Shelagh and Ian Dale, do not appear to challenge the biased points made by callers and do not engage them in rigorous debate, while they show great skills to counter callers on various other topics. Conversely, they seem to allow only a few Muslim callers through, particularly those with broken English or a street slang tone, which seems to contribute to their narrative.
In summary, LBC is perceived to be promoting a particular narrative that may involve exaggerating the issue of antisemitism on the streets of London, portraying Muslims negatively, providing biased coverage of the Labour Party, and selectively choosing its callers. It is suggested that this organization should be subject to an investigation by Ofcom, as there are concerns it may be contributing to community division, fostering anger, and creating a feeling of being unheard.
Between 1am and 7am total dullness.
Insomniacs.
Why do us insomniacs, have to listen to your worst presenters, in the early hours of the morning. Spur and Payne are terrible, their constant drivel and choice of subjects are pathetic. Please let's have Clive Bull on every night and not just at weekends, he is brilliant.
As a long time listener to LBC
As a long time listener to LBC, I have my daily routine like most others I suppose. In the wee hours I would occasionally listen to Steve Allen, but since he was let go, Ian Payne was a good, if slightly less controversial replacement.
Nick Ferrari is a favourite, very fair, could interrupt a little less, perhaps (“only to let in more listeners”) - but off goes the radio at 10am as James O’Brien starts with his predictable daily obsessions - brexit (yawn) and anything Tory (more yawns), and of course general distaste of most things British, which is a pity, because I’m sure some subjects are fairly treated but lost in the general distaste for his pet hates.
As for news breaks - four an hour? Two at the most would be ample.
The evening I’ll listen on and off to Tom Swawbrick, (who isn’t as amusing as he seems to think he is) while doing dinner.
Nick Abbott at the weekend? Very quirky and accompanied by a recorded cartoon voice for every occasion - does he sit there with his hands hovering over a keyboard? Don’t ring him if you’re easily offended, he’s not paid to take you seriously, consequently nutters tend to ring up in droves. James whale had a similar effect on other channels over the years.
As for being offensive, Matthew Wright can be particularly, in my opinion, if disagreed with he tends to belittle and talk over people before swiftly passing on to the next caller.
Hopefully the channel won’t be tackling any anti gambling topics any time soon as they regularly promote it with those cheesy adverts featuring ‘arry, the lovable cockney, only too willing to get you started! (“but be careful, take a day off now and then.”)
Vanessa Feltz joined a few days after she jumped the sinking TalkTv ship.
Hopefully she’ll let others get a word in, and take less time off than she did on Talk.
Best and most fair presenter with the minimum of interruptions? Paul Brand must be up there.
Incidentally, Nick tells us at 6.45am that he’s back at 7 each weekday morning using the recording they used after the Xmas holidays a couple of years back, but now it’s used every day! Enough! We know he’s coming!
LBC presenters Ian Dale and Nick…
LBC presenters Ian Dale and Nick Ferrari are both associates of the Israeli Govt connected and part funded Community security Trust. Hence the promotion of the Israeli government hasbara narrative from both. This is in clear breach of OFCOM regulations.
LBC and LBC News is a news source on…
LBC and LBC News is a news source on radio that I can trust as well the BBC. This stations is so such much better than these 2 new right-wing channels (GB News and TalkRadio). LBC also supply news updates to Capital UK and Heart UK
P.S. LBC is Proper News like the BBC
