Total scam artists at least di-ck turpin wore a mask wouldn't recommend to my dog let alone someone else

We recently placed an order over the phone with Kerry Roberts​​​​, the eCommerce Pricing & CX Manager. Not only she was able to gather the big qty of stock I need (not enough stock on website) and was super responsive, friendly and lovely to talk to! The order was placed within few hours due to her speedy response, I was able to check with our architects and builders quickly. I still to receive my order I hope the delivery will go well! Best CS I received so far since we started the renovation project this year. TOP STARS!!

Bristol Branch: The customer relationship started well despite we were let down for not getting a replacement for the defect material. We continued to do business with them as they are local to our project. The latest delivery issue has finally draw a line and damaged our loyalty to them. Some of the items have been missed and we were promised they would be coming in next two days. Unfortunately that delivery didn't happen and was cancelled with late notification. The carpenter had wasted all day as a result of this. I filed a complaint to the manager and the outcome wasn't positive, no apology and he dismissed the responsibility. Not happy with the response at all. The best reaction for this kind of customer service is to find alternative suppliers.

I discovered Arnold Lavers recently and was amazed by the great staff and really cheap prices for wood. I am not a trademan, just a bloke building a shed. Keiron and Simon were both really helpful in helping me choose the best wood for the job. There is no way I would go back to other timber suppliers as this company is THE BEST for prices hands down.

I tried to order on line. I got some great help from your operators but found it really hard to use your website. It kept on asking me to register as a trader. I eventually got my order made but thought before making the purchase I would visit your Sunderland shop to see the quality of the wood. A pleasant chap called Roy showed me the timber so I went into my PC to make to order. Oh no! No internet and I couldn't access the order I made. So I went home to try again. Exasperated I took my paper list back to the shop. Roy served me and he could see my frustration. He was so courteous pleasant and very knowledgeable, I just had to write this to say thank you. With his advice I changed my order. I went into the shop feeling miserable and came out really. happy. Well done Arnold Laver.

Ordered online. Turned up and didn't have what I ordered in stock. Ended up swapping for another length but the wood was poor quality and full of knots. Thought I'd try this place out as it was cheap but it's pretty clear why it's so cheap. Will go elsewhere in future.

For the 2nd time in a row I've ordered hundred's of pounds worth of specialist wood, paid, had it acknowledged and been told it's ready for collection; only to be contacted to be told there is not enough stock, and what stock there is is poor quality.
No more. I'm buying elsewhere in future.

Purchased the wood we required and it was delivered by them within the specified time. Exactly as we wanted and all correct. Carlos the driver was very helpful and rang us when he was nearby. Very helpful - thanks 😊

This is by far the worst place to get your wood from , all the lengths are always different sizes all bent good for nothing , the workers are rude and don’t want to help they would rather you hand ball all the wood onto your van whilst they drive around doing circles on fork truck , then when you do eventually get ur wood it’s 3 sizes too big & they then apparently don’t have any wood cutters on sight , so now you have to cut your own wood by hand to the size you ordered and paid for. Absolute joke of a company wants closing down

our first dealings with lavers, and i can say Christopher Charlesworth kept us informed on everything in good time and was very professional through out, the timber arrived today and is above expectations due to this we will be using lavers in the future. Great job all round many thanks

Called into our local branch today asking for help and advice. Was assisted by a worker in the warehouse, called Joe, who was very helpful in helping me chose the right skirting board for my needs.

I was uncertain about ordering from Arnold Laver given the mixed reviews, but could not justify paying double the price for timber at my local Jewson. I ordered various sizes of redwood PSE timber, delivery was on time as scheduled, and the timber was good quality. Will definitely order from here again for my next project.

I have mixed reviews on this company. Went to their Sheffield depot several times. Got some good Sapele in summer and that was ok with delivery. This last week I ordered treated timber to make a gate. I asked if they should check the wood before putting it on the lorry for delivery, they say they should but then throw in you can bring it back! I didnt want it in my nice clear can so paid the extra £30 for delivery. On arrival one piece had a big split in it and another had a smaller split. This was annoying to see but they unloaded it and today I had to take the two pieces back and get better pieces. I was very dissapointed in the quality control and general care of what they were giving the cutomer(This isnt cheap stuff these days). I deliberatly wanted delivery to not take it in my car! Yet here I am paying £30 and having to take it back and forwards to get better pieces, which they should have just prodvided in the first place. Rather incompetent.

I spoke to Arnold Laver via facebook at about 7pm on wed. and enquired about some fence panels, I had a price, inc delivery within 10 mins. The price quoted was good and I ordered the items, which were delivered, lunch time Friday. I can NOT fault the service I received and the quality of the panels appear to be very good. I can only give this company 5 stars, without hesitation...

shocking customer service ,set of jobsworths who think customers are a distraction to their jobs

I am having the worst experience ever dealing with the Kidderminster depot. I ordered a piece of timber from them 3 weeks ago that needed planing down and trimming to size. I have had a litany of excuses from the depot manager telling me their machinery has been removed from their depot and they have had to put the job out to an external machining company, all of which happened unexpectedly during the first 2 weeks of our order. They now say they are in the hands of the company doing the work for them. I can only communicate via email as telephone calls are going unanswered. I have never known such an incompetent company in my whole working life.

Ordered items worth almost £400 from their TIMBERWORLD website. Branch phoned to say they did not stock a lot of items. Agreed I wanted a refund. 4 weeks later no refund. Queried it and no response so assume they still have my money. Recommend you don't try to buy from them. Now got my bank chasing the promised refund.

Ordered 3 sheets of marine ply on Monday, was told it would be delivered on the Wednesday (£15 delivery fee for a 4 mile journey, small issue). Took the day off… called them Wednesday morning to get an indication of what time it would be delivered, they said Thursday. I told them I had taken the day off for delivery. They said they would call back to see if they could deliver Wednesday. They didn’t call back. I called again, they said it will Thursday. No communication, no customer service, no commitment to delivery times.

Wow! What a friendly and helpful company 😁 im.a single mum and was worried about ordering and having to lumber alot of decking into my garden i didnt need to! Reading branch were fantastic, i rang them.and got reassured id have help and ive just had it delivered and they lived upto there word very happy customer restored my faith thank.you
