Outrageous behaviour, refusing to cooperate with our solicitors and accept direct instructions from the will's executor to release the original. They have simply not responded to our calls and e-mails for almost 2 YEARS, since my mother's passing. Extremely disrespectful and unprofessional.

Absolutely shocking non response to any contact. DO NOT GIVE THESE SO CALLED SOLICITORS ANY MATTER AS YOU WILL REGRET IT. Still no response after Christmas break, makes you wonder if anybody here gives a monkeys.

Diabolical- having got the time or energy to go into detail but trust me don’t use them!

Having never sold a house, I felt a bit useless and also vulnerable. Tim was patient and supportive and never made me feel that my questions were stupid - thank you!

We’ve left this review for a month to ensure we don’t let emotions get the better of us when writing. We want to be as fair and objective as possible. We used Latimer Lee for our conveyancing and it was not a good experience. Whilst the solicitor was a lovely person, their communication was really poor. We had to rely on our mortgage broker and the estate agent for all information about the house buying process and what particular aspects of the property report meant etc. We were very clear on multiple occasions that we were first time buyers and had no idea what we were doing. But we never got any explanation as to the process or what to expect despite asking. Documents would be sent to us with errors. The solicitor never asked how we were splitting the property between us, meaning paperwork had to be redone. When the property report came back to us we didn’t understand some aspects of it, and the solicitor did not reply to our questions with any meaningful answer. For example, there was a chief rent attached to the property. When the report said there was a rent charge attached to the property we were confused as the property was a freehold. Asked the solicitor and the response was ‘it’s a rent charge’. I then had to spent over an hour googling the name of the company we were to pay the charge to, researching what that company does, then researching what a chief rent was etc. Same with the lack of build over agreement for a sewer that overlapped the property. At times we felt so in the dark that I was close to tears. We were too afraid to speak up and complain at the time in case it caused the sale to fall through. We even had to chase updates via the estate agent. The estate agent was not our representative, but they did far more to explain things and help us through the process than our solicitor ever did. Several friends who are solicitors expressed shock and advised me to raise it with a partner at the firm. We feel really bad leaving this review as the solicitor was a lovely person on the two occasions in 6 months she spoke to us. But reflecting on it, I feel we should give an open and honest review. We needed further legal services after completion, such as will writing, but we have approached a different firm for this as we don’t have faith that Latimer Lee would provide a good service. We understand the firm likely has a lot of work on, and it can be difficult with a high caseload. But we really needed someone to explain the process to us and we were very much left in the dark until the last minute.

I am incredibly grateful for the exceptional support from Adeel Husnain throughout the Litigation process. Adeel had a deep understanding of my case from start to finish. At times I felt stressed with the complications of it all but I felt in safe hands with Adeel's strong legal expertise. Always ahead with the paperwork and promptly responded to any queries I had. His patience and attention to detail is second to none. Adeel is very professional, communicative and provided clear guidance throughout the case, resulting in a good resolution at mediation therefore avoiding huge costs if it had gone to Court!
I wouldn't hesitate recommending Adeel Husnain for any cases in Litigation.

Absolutely fantastic, Tim was amazing, guided my husband and I all the way through the purchase process, answering many of our stupid questions so we were getting it right, he had a fab relationship with our mortgage advisor, and it took only 5 weeks to complete, he certainly doesn’t hang around. He was friendly, knowledgeable and nothing was too much for him definitely recommend Tim to which we have to a lot of people, thanks Tim for all your help on our forever home.

We worked with Tim on our first home buy, he was excellent from day one, gave us a link to an online portal we could track so we knew exactly what was happening at every step. I'm a retired chartered accountant, who over a period of more than 40 years specialised in undertaking forensic accountancy investigations for solicitors throughout the UK. Unfortunately, it proved necessary to take action against one of them for non-payment of my professional fees. This was for a very large amount of work over a period of more than four years. I instructed Latimer Lee to pursue the debt and I was greatly assisted by their Adeel Husnain over a period of around 12 months. It was an extremely complex matter, requiring Adeel to have a thorough grasp of much detailed documentation contained in 10 very full lever arch files (4,000 or more documents). He identified and briefed an appropriate barrister to advise on the strength of my case and Adeel then engaged with the solicitor who owed me the money. A settlement was achieved by Adeel in June 2025, avoiding the need to incur even greater costs through a mediation hearing or even a trial (for which I might have had to wait a further couple of years). Thank you Adeel, I can highly recommend your services!

I never normally bother to writes reviews but the level of service provided by Thomas @ Latimer Lee was worthy of one! His communication via email was prompt and without delay, and he got all the paperwork sorted for the sale of my property within weeks. My opinion of solicitors had hit an all time low with poor service elsewhere and Thomas has now restored my faith. I would recommend Latimer Lee to anyone needing efficient and effective service - thank you Thomas

The experience I had with Latimer Lee, in particular with Jessica Kay who dealt with the loss of my brother and his estate, administration (probate) was so helpful and friendly, Jessica went above and beyond to help me deal with many issues making it so much easier to deal with my loss. I can not recommend highly enough the service I received from Latimer Lee solicitors in particular Jessica and staff at the Ramsbottom office.
To this day, I know that I can contact Jessica for advice and any support I may need.

Latimer Lee were assigned to me for conveyancing by my estate agent, I dealt with a gentleman called Thomas who was very professional and personable, due to a lack of communication with my estate agent I dealt with Thomas quite a lot over the time it took to sell the property, he kept me very well informed and sometimes ahead of the loop, I wish I had known about them beforehand so that I could have used their services during probate to keep everything in one place.
When you are selling your childhood home full of memories of your parents you want as little fuss as possible, Latimer Lee did exactly that, I can't commend them enough.

I used them for the purchase of a student accommodation 2.5 years ago. I paid all my fees in total. Until now I am still waiting for their post-purchase team to send me the title. They keep promising but no adherence. I used someone called Deborah who is so negligent that she does not even bother to send any updates. I have to keep writing, calling....nothing. very frustrating and disappointing.

Extremley unprofessional. I recieved several emails from Rachel Edwards Barrott of a threatening and accusatory nature, even on a Sunday afternoon. I was sent a copy of my court order to which this was sent for review without me agreeing to this. The company overall have been accusing me of things from their client with 0 factual evidence for over a year now and have constantly harassed me with false allegations, became very rude, threatening and demanding without actually doing their research. If you are looking for a ‘dodgy’ solicitor these are the people for you. I wouldn’t waste my money, AVOID

Unprofessional, rude and very gullible to their client’s lies. Looking at the correspondence my partner received from this company regarding a court order was laughable. This company even harass mothers on a Sunday when trying to spend quality time with their child. Avoid at all costs, pathetic.
