Made a call to the Leeds branch, they came the following day as that was what suited me best. Nat was great and sorted our issue with no fuss. Everybody that I spoke to was helpful and very nice. Would have no problem using them again.

Frank and Callum came to sort out a blockage and with perseverance got the blockage cleared. A job that had 3 other people stumped. Well done to them!

Frank from Lanes Bristol office went above and beyond to ensure that my mum, who suffers from Alzheimer's, could use her bathroom in comfort after the drain backed-up causing flooding.

I had expected the work to take many hours, but he had everything sorted very quickly so Mum hardly noticed the intrusion & I was able to get on & keep to her usual schedule..

Frank should be commended for his sensitive approach & speedy resolution.

He did an amazing job & I hope Lanes acknowledge this employee's effort.

After 3 weeks and a very frustrated wife & 2 unsuccessful attempts to clear a blockage in our kitchen sink, Lanes were sent to have a look.
Lance came and was amazing, he wasnt going to leave without working out what the problem was. After trying a few things, he thought to lift open the man hole, ( which a previous guy did, but just looked)
Lance put down a camera and flushed out the blockages.. he spent ages and was super thourough making sure all the blockage had gone.. Lance was cheery and a great Asset to Lanes..

I had someone come out to my property in Wombwell. Firstly they were supposed to come the day before. I waited all day....i phoned and asked when they were coming out. "Sorry the camera guy is ill"...an ongoing theme this looking at other bad reviews.

When they did my drain cleaning and camera down the drains he mentioned several things wrong...

He put 1 line in the report, lazy and not correct and 1 photo was upside down.

I contacted them to ask him to change it. He said he would. That was a month ago...i have phoned numerous times with emails. Completely ignored. Barnsley cpuncil said use these. I will be contacting the council to discuss these joke of a company.

Frank was great. Got on with the job, kept me informed as to the progress, cleared the stubborn blockage and then tidied up. Can't ask for more - brilliant job

Great prompt service from the Southampton team. The engineer showed and explained the problem with the blocked waste pipe and gave some useful advise on future prevention. No problem to recommend these guys in our area.

Very poor service. Had a cctv survey which the company were quick to do. Offered a fix, didn’t turn up due to illness (this wasn’t communicated) after a week of trying to get in touch (they promise call backs but never do) claimed the had been but couldn’t fix the problem due to it being under my conservatory (I don’t have a conservatory). Spoke to a manager and was promised a call back to offer further solutions ( I have small children and the issue is a health risk), I am still waiting. It seems unless this is a simple problem they simply are not interested in offering advice or support. Complete waste of time dealing with them - a real shame as on the surface a reputable company who are quick to take your initial payment.

The 5 stars are for Dave and the team.
I do not generally write reviews but I can't thank Dave, Mark, Dwaine, and the team enough for their hard work in sorting and fixing our sewage pipe problems. Being the workers "on the ground", they work out what needs doing between them and want to just get on with it but often have to wait around for the go ahead or a different team to do a different part of the work before they can do theirs, which in my opinion lets your company down. And the reason why it has taken weeks and weeks to finally get fixed.

They are friendly and happy in their work when they can get on with it and are very aware of customer satisfaction.
They should definitely get the recognition they deserve from their superiors.

Just one other point...
Where have all the start to finish tradesmen in the world gone?

Applied for a role, and ''Cathy'' the Resource and Talent Manager was very rude when speaking to me on the phone. Very rude, disrespectful and condescending. As soon as the phone call started and I spoke to reply to what she told me, she indirectly told me to shut up. She spoke over me and interrupted me and kept saying ''uh huh'' multiple times to talk over me and interrupt me and then told me to stop talking/speaking and not say anything and that I can reply and speak later after shes finished speaking.

A few seconds later, i replied to another point she made and she carried on speaking to me in a very authoritarian, rude, condescending and belittling, just snapping at me and her attitude was absolutely disgusting, rude, appaling and out of order.

Made an enquiry via their website but was ignored completely!

The first appointment was cancelled and Paul didn't turn up for the second one. No apology, no explanation.

Review for ABERDEEN depot. Staff were a credit to the company, couldn't do enough, well organised and took the time to explain what they were doing and why. On site for a few hours and carried out drain survey and unblocked as needed taking the time and care to make sure all adjoining pipes were clear.

This is NOT a review for Lanes Group but Lanes Infrastructure, part of the group. Do NOT subcontract for this company on SGN, they do not pay and do not respond to emails or calls. The contract with payment dates etc is not adhered to and not worth the paper it is written on. Avoid this company like the plague. The senior management are unprofessional and leave the finance team to deal with all the grief. In particular Ben Draycott, the man with no voice, who doesn’t like to speak nor deal with non payment issues, even after we received written confirmation from the man himself that we would be paid. All processes carried out correctly, payment certificates signed off by all senior personnel. Yet still no payment, now 5 weeks late.
No wonder the smaller subcontractors end up going bust with companies like this, it’s morally wrong.
Ben Draycott needs to be held accountable! Then SGN wonder why they are behind schedule and can’t get the men. We have carried out all work whilst working for Lanes leaving them no reason not to pay. Absolutely disgusting, they should be ashamed of themselves. Not to mention the unprofessional emails previously received, slandering our accounting staff as inadequate. Do NOT work for this company unless you want the constant headache chasing your money which is rightfully owed!
Another winding up order incoming, I wonder how many they’ve had against them now.

Company quoted £456 to do a CCTV survey - min 4hrs and indicated on the contract that there would be a separate charge if the drains were blocked OR additional equipment were required.

On due date (19th August), the engineer turned up 3 hours late, saw the drains were blocked and simply left, without carrying out the CCTV Survey. You would've thought a drains company would anticipate and plan ahead for blocked drains! Or, at least, call the client and agree an additional charge, within the 4hr period?

Got the blocked drains jet cleaned and advised the company to rearrange the survey, but they sent me a NEW quote of £456 for the same job, informing me that (rather than a call out charge) the previous visit had been charged in full.

It's been a while since I dealt with a company that operated in such a rogue manner, and decided cut my losses and find a more professional company. I would advise steering clear of this company.

I was unlucky enough to have a blocked toilet, my insurance sent out a company that said they couldn't do anything until MONDAY, which would have left me without a toilet for 4 DAYS! I lodged a complaint and lucky for me they sent out Dylan and Cameron (2 hour drive away)! who sorted my toilet! not only that but they left my bathroom clean, fabulous lads, highly recommended!!

Had this company out to clear my blocked bathroom drain . Service was quick and excellent. Young man was very pleasant and helpful.

The two guys from Sevenoaks, one of them called Jason were fantastic. Did a job in Ub6 9ej in my kitchen. Previous inspectors made the job to be near impossible and would take a week to sort. These two guys were professionals, did the job in half a day and made it look easy. Nothing was a problem for them, so positive and genuine. A real credit to the company!

Charged me almost £800 to carry out a CCTV in a garden of a semi detached. Although three workers attended only one appeared to be doing anything. The other sat on my sun lounger, chatting and vaping, rather than ask me to move the furniture out of the way. I have a camera overlooking the garden so this caught. There were two drain points they needed to check which was explained when they arrived and I also supplied them with drain maps I’ve acquired personally to ensure they knew what they were looking at. They didn’t camera check the private drain and only ran a camera through the UU drain. I’ve since found out that they had no authority to check a UU drain and should have informed and referred me directly to UU. When the Lanes report came through I did query why the private one wasn’t checked and the manager in his response didn’t address the query at all, he just talked about other things that I hadn’t queried at that moment. The girls in the office are efficient and they are quick to get the quotes to you for attending. There wasn’t an initial free call out to assess what needed to be done and then priced up. They also took full payment before attending. I did expect to maybe pay half to secure the booking and half once complete but no, it’s full payment upfront.
I wouldn’t ever recommend these guys and I have no doubt that there is absolutely no point in trying to get even partial refund off them. They aren’t interested.
