The Lanelay is a beautiful hotel - staff are excellent, rooms are beautiful- restaurant BLok is great food - very limited menu and the chef seems to always put gnocchi on the menu (for veggies) -and no chicken on the menu for Sunday dinner! (Red meat, fish or gnocchi ) which is ridiculous- our only complaint is the spa - you are allowed if staying (when more should be included as your paying to stay and use their restaurant etc) you have a pool and sauna - that’s it - the jacuzzi is £50 for an hour for two people and you get the smallest glass of Prosecco to enjoy in there - this is a rip off - the only hotel I have ever been to who charge extra to use the jacuzzi!!! I left a note in our room with suggestions and I can only imagine they were not take on board - I would definitely recommend the hotel but charging extra to use a jacuzzi is insulting!!

The food was really nice, however adding a 10% service charge is really not okay when the food is expensive.

Amazing meal. Was made to feel really welcome.

BLOK RESTAURANT - Lanelay Hall, Pontyclun.
This was one of the best dining experiences ever. Beautiful building and dining room, and we were lucky enough to get the 'oval' table with a view of the chef's at work. Amazing staff who made the evening memorable with their professionalism, attention to detail, and knowledge of the meats and other dishes on offer.
Everything was cooked to perfection, and the sides and sauces were some of the most amazing flavours imaginable. Extremely well recommended. We'll be back for sure.
