When kooth came in to have a talk about mental health awareness, koreena delivered an interesting and positive session.

Natasha has presented across site in Peterborough and Huntingdon on 4 of our study days for staff around suicide, mental health and well being. She presented really well and staff felt they learnt a lot and will be useful to them in practice and personally.

And the Worst Idea Award goes to???

This sounds on paper like a great idea, however, in practice, is horrendous and harmful.

Students are coming home terrified over the move to High School as this privatised company arrives in schools and fear mongers them through a extremely poorly executed exercise of 'fear' discovery. Our child has come home terrified and it's effected her in ways I can't even get into here.

This company needs to be closed.

Natasha has delivered 4 sessions for the Children's services at North West Anglia Foundation Trust, this year and she has been brilliant. Alot of information available and given out. Hands on sessions to look at the site was really good- Thank you x

It was impactful in engaging the parents who came to our coffee morning.

Information provided was practical in achieving an understanding of the service kooth provide.

Corrina came to visit our school to deliver a parent workshop on supporting your children with their mental health. She was excellent at engaging the parents and gave some useful suggestions of how to have difficult conversations with your children. Corrina showed parents and staff how to use Kooth and Qwell and the benefits of these websites. Parents who attended the workshop gave really positive feedback and we will definitely be reaching out for Corrina to support our school again in the future.

I've used Kooth for a long time now, mainly their discussion boards and articles, but I have also had support from practitioners and the service has been absolutely life saving for me. It is a really safe space to explore issues and things that are bothering me and it has been way more helpful then other services I have previously used.

I love kooth I have used it for a year now and I absolutely love it it’s so helpful and useful and I want to give a shoutout to all the counsellors on there but in particular sophie and I recommend it to all anyone

Shelley and Corrina visited our college in both Medway and Maidstone and provided a workshop for our students for Mental Health Awareness Week. This was a brilliant workshop, very informative and the students enjoyed this interactive session. Cannot wait to organise the next workshop! Thankyou both :)

Shelley was informative, approachable and understanding of our parents needs and concerns. She was able to empathise with them and shared her own experiences which made them feel accepted and listened too.

ok but when you put a negative review it is such a bot like reply in fact this is the same for EVERYTHING on the website apart from the mini activity`s and the forum. however it is quite a good website

Holly delivered assemblies to the whole school and the students were very responsive. She was enthusiastic, knowledgable and was able to signpost the work that Kooth do. Will definitely be looking to use Kooth again.

Chloe from Kooth presented an assembly to our school relating to Kooth. It was excellent to hear what Kooth has to offer and our young people have already been accessing this, but it was good forn all our students to know what extra support is out there.

I know there are quite a few negative reviews on here, but I really can't fault Kooth.

I made my account back in 2018, and they were the first people I ever spoke to about the eating issues I was having. They've shown me so much support throughout was has been a tricky treatment journey for me over the past few years, and I am so extremely grateful for the help.

In particular, DeDe and Elsa both worked with me for a while, and really made such a difference for me when things were particularly challenging. Thank you so much.

I give a lot of credit to Kooth for getting me through difficult times, and for helping me get to where I am today. I recommend the site to anyone who may need some extra support.

Yes, the wait times can be long, but they are a free service for us and help so many people. I hope anyone considering joining Kooth, does give them a shot.

We had CLEO O in our EAST LONDON Primary School in Newham giving a talk on the impact of Anxiety Stress Depression on young people yes as young as 8-12 they suffer from Mental health issues to and need as much support as we can give. day to day life at school, home, exams , puberty, the whole thing is difficult for many. It is available for teenagers too ! As a Learning Mentor in a school we can give as much support as possible with family and other outside agencies. However, many children are embarassed or held back by stigma's attached to struggling mental health. This is where people like CLEO and companies like KOOTH come in. They are online TICK children love to be online on their phones in the privacy of their homes/bedrooms. The Counsellors are well trained TICK The service is available most of the day TICK It's anonymous so they don't know who you are and exact details about you. TICK TICK It will alert the correct people if they think a child/family member may be at risk in some way given what they are told TICK They offer advice on everything affecting young people nothing is too somall or trivial. Its easy to register. CLEO is among one of the Schools Co-ordinators who go into schools and deliver the 'what KOOTH has to offer ' talk. she is enthusiastic, patient, knowledgeable, understanding, ready to answer questions from the young people and teachers. Above all she is a great ambassador for KOOTH (a free service) as she cares. It can really help Children and Parents who can point their children towards KOOTH if they are struggling and find talking to parent/carers awkward etc. A Great tool for Young People and a much needed service in these stressful times.
