Nice but helpless agents
I accidentally overpaid this credit card by $800, and I called to get a check sent to me for the overpayment. When Capitalone purchased this portfolio of Kohl's accounts, they did not transfer all the customer data, so they did not have my cell phone on file, which meant they couldn't send me a verification code for me to use during the customer service call. The supervisor then sent me a link to send a picture of the front and back of my driver's license. However, their system would not accept these pictures from my Google Pixel 9 phone. Because they system locked me out, I have to call again, get an email verification, send my driver's license via email, wait 10 days for them to look at it, and then they might send me back my overpayment. My only other option is to wait 4 statement cycles (4 months) for them to return my overpayment.
