Huge let down
We rang Key Tek because we were having a problem with a lock which would not open from the outside and the key was proving difficult to get in and out of the lock. The engineer arrived on the 28.05.26 replaced a spring and sprayed the lock with WD40. We were still having the same problem a few days later so we rang them to explain and was told there was no guarantee with the repair even though it was only 5 days later & would have to pay again for a call out. We had paid £102.00 for the original repair and did not think it was acceptable to charge us again. Their attitude was take it or leave it, we decided to find a local company as we feel that this is grossly unfair to have to pay again as it had not been repaired correctly. We do not recommend this Company and will never use them again.

Had a new lock fitted on a composite…
Had a new lock fitted on a composite door and no quote was given beforehand. They turned up and charged nearly £200 just to inspect the lock, then a further £224 charged for the replacement lock. The fitter was lovely but the service received from the office was very rude and unprofessional throughout. I would not recommend this company. Still no invoice given despite asking on a number of occasions.

Was very wary when I contacted this company as it had a call centre and wouldn’t give me the contact number for the locksmith who would be attending my house which wasn’t very helpful but in the end Garry who came round was brilliant friendly & efficient and the price I was quoted was a lot better than some other companies who seem to pick a figure out of the air terrible practice
