We were recommended K9 control to help us learn how to help our GSD Sasha. She is highly reactive to any dogs (we think since being attacked as a puppy) and difficult to lead walk due to heightened excitability / anxiety.
Since working with K9 Rob and the team have started to change both our & Sasha's lives. They are providing us with the tools and skills to work with Sasha in understanding her triggers & body language. Their knowledge of dog behaviour is outstanding. They always ask about our experiences with Sasha between sessions and listen to our positives & negative queries and put exercises and plans into place. Using their own dogs they help us see and understand her behaviours in a very controlled safe manner. All activities are taken at Sasha's pace to avoid over stimulation / anxiety. We still have so much to learn on this journey with K9 to enable us and Sasha to have a companionable, trusting partnership.

Massive thank you to Rob and Tim. Clear and direct instructions and guidance, helped me understand Coco's behaviour and reactivity and with this how to better communicate with him. Noticed a massive change from out first visit, making walks more of a 'walk in the park' experience for both of us. Would highly recommend to anyone with a canine pal.

Took our rescue dog to Rob as he wasn’t having a great time out and about. Huge change in his behaviour and he is much happier. Would definitely recommend Rob … dog whisperer of note.

All going well with training so far. We have learnt a lot and our dog has changed on walks already. Rob is very helpful and knowledgeable.

1st evening packwalk through the countryside which involved walking on roads, dealing with traffic and then into feilds where we met different scenarios

Had an assent with rob and tim and already what difference there knowledge they way they explained what they where doing and why was great came up with plan moving forward looking forward to more training classes in the future

I have a rescue dog that I have had for 4 years. He is massively anxious and reactive and I have found walking him a real struggle. I have been to 3 other trainers one helped a bit but nothing really helped. Rob has been brilliant in helping to give me confidence and the tools to help us both. I am now walking my dog with confidence and he’s finally learning not to be scared of life. I can’t recommend K9 Control enough.

Always manages to fit us in and always get quick results, highly recommend for any training you might require.

Despite having a border collie with an attitude problem Rob is absolutely brilliant it’s a work in progress but me and my family can see the difference.

I initially intended to have 4 x lessons but on lesson 3, Rob didn't feel he could teach us anything further because my dog had made such good progress. This was very honourable of him.
I really am so impressed with the training, today I walked my dog off lead in 100 Acres Woods and he behaved like the perfect dog with 100% recall. Previously, he would turn into "crazy dog" as soon as I let him off lead in the woods and would disappear. We had to revert to using a long line. It was wonderful to have such a lovely relaxed walk in the countryside and I am so grateful for Rob's training methods and support. Rob was recommended to me and I am so pleased he was; a big "thank you!"

Rob & Tim were miracle workers! In just 25 minutes they had our two very reactive GSD's under control and walking together with one person! Light at the end of what seemed like a very dark and long tunnel!
Our home is now much calmer, walks are much more relaxed and we know in time we will be able to take both dogs out together with just one person and even enjoy some off lead playtime!

We have been working with Rob and his team on my dogs fear based reactivity. This is my 4the session with him and I have finally got my life back.
Seen a few trainers in the past but with little results, and no real plan put in place.
I have followed the plan that Rob has given me and am now reaping the rewards.
I love walking my dog now and loving the progress we make each week.

5 months on from our first session with k9control , we’ve just been on the best pack walk ever! Through the belief and confidence that Rob has in us we completed the 2 hour walk without so much as a grumble from our boy. 20 dogs all on a training walk. Some dogs were vocal , some dogs had grumbles but Stan remained focused on me and he was 100% perfect. The support that we’ve received from the team has been nothing short of amazing and what Rob doesn’t know about dogs isn’t worth knowing ( although I don’t think there’s anything he doesn’t know haha! )
If you are struggling with reactivity or aggression I cannot recommend Rob highly enough. He’s literally changed our lives.

Rob and the team are amazing and I can't recommend them highly enough. We'd worked with and spoken to many other local trainers and gotten nowhere. K9 are a little further afield from Thatcham but well worth it. 3x sessions with Rob and our cockapoo is behaving much better on the lead and we are making great progress on his rage and resource guarding issues.

The team at K9 Control are fantastic for all things dog related. We have used other trainers and behaviourists in the past and I can honestly say none of them come close. Not only have we made amazing progress with our reactive dog but the community that K9 Control have created is amazing.

Rob is absolutely incredible!!!! I had a 1:1 with my border terrier Norman who is reactive and full of all the shouty swear words. Rob is extremely honest and knows exactly what the dog needs. He is also very supportive to owners, he has made me more confident and I now look forward to walking Norman. The change in just one session was astounding, I actually cried. Norman is now becoming a joy to walk.

We needed someone who had experience training challenging dogs for our over-excited domestic labradoodle: our pet was causing a lot of stress and was set to be stuck on a lead for the rest of his life, because 2 years of reward-only training was not enough to manage his running off (prey drive) and desperate scavenging eating.
Rob quickly understood our dog's issues and helped us to use a corrective e-collar sensitively after it had been recommended by an owner of another challenging dog. Rob has excellent facilities, both indoor and outdoor and has quickly helped make a life-changing difference to our dog and our family.
His recommendation to switch to a raw meat diet has also had a significant positive impact.

Rob at K9 control has changed our lives.
Our dog was good indoors and great with people but taking him out was a nightmare. If he saw another dog within 500 yards all hell would break loose! Taking him out was a chore and we couldn’t wait to get home.
After a few 1-1 sessions with Rob the difference was amazing, Harry is a completely different dog.
Obviously some of the problems laid with us as we’d become nervous due to his behaviour but with training and guidance we can now let him off lead with other dogs and even take him out to the beach or pubs with no worries!

We now attend the fortnightly pack walks just to keep his training and socialisation topped up. It’s also great fun and you meet lots of lovely people who have all been in the same boat as you.

Don’t ever think life will be a continuous nightmare when you have an uncontrollable dog, we cannot recommend K9 control enough.
