Superb customer service in the Ayr store.Advised on cheaper underlay as carpet was thicker quality. This place will never be beaten for service or value!

Recently bought carpets for 3 rooms a hallway and stairs. Carpet delivered was the wrong one due to an issue with store to store stock transfer.
The reason for the 5 stars is that mistakes happen but how a company deals with them is what matters.
The East Kilbride store dealt with the issue that day and had the carpets swapped with no issues.

I visited the Hamilton store twice, once before I purchased and I was seen both times by Brian. He was so kind, patient and professional. He was the best help both times as first time I hadn't decorated and when I got that started I visited again and Brian helped me get my hall carpet all sorted. I was impressed with how he kept me informed and I popped into see carpet today as it was delivered to the store, always polite, friendly and professional and really helped me get a carpet fitter in time for Xmas...such great service will be back again!!! Very excited to have my new tartan carpet for Xmas!!!

Superb. Last week bought carpets and vinyl from their Netherton, Wishaw store for my front porch, living room, downstair bedroom, kitchen, rear hallway, staircase and landing. Good price and they put me in touch with a carpet fitter called Thomas who said he could do it on 13th December. Two carpet fitters turned up on 13th with the carpets and vinyl and did a really professional job including helping to move furniture. Job completed with no fuss in one day. Definitely recommend the store and carpet fitters.

J&W Perth - Visited the store and the staff there were very friendly and booked us in to get a free measuring appointment for the rooms requiring carpet. From there the experience has been awful. They didn't show up on the day agreed having claimed that no one was in the house - I was there all day. Rearranged for the following week only to have them call on the day to say it was overbooked and they would have to rearrange again. Third attempt was today when they phoned the wrong number to check someone would be in so did not get a response. They then came to the door and posted a card through the door but didn't bother to ring the bell to check if anyone was in. Called the shop to complain and they were very defensive and didn't offer any solutions, claimed I must have been in a conference call when they came round and didn't hear the door. Going elsewhere after having my time wasted for a month now.

I was at this store to get a carpet for my bedroom and vinyl for kitchen, bathroom and 3 closets. I’ve dealt with 2/3 different employees in my visits and all of them were incredibly nice, patient and helpful, including the worker that came to my place to take the measurements. I ended up getting someone from the store to lay the carpet and vinyl and that’s when the problem started. As someone that had previously worked on two different public bodies that deal with discrimination and equality and now working on the immigration sector for a private company, I know a thing or two. The workers indicated by the store got to my place and to start with didn’t even apologised for being nearly 2h late. When they started the job, one in the bedroom and the other in the kitchen, they were shouting to one another and at different occasions me or my sister had to check if they were speaking to us - no answer at all. We made questions about the process - again no answers. In 2 different occasions the man that was doing the bedroom went to the kitchen and you could hear them whispering&smirking and a couple of “fu*k that” were thrown. The kitchen was done in 10/15min and I told them I didn’t liked how it was looking and that it seemed like the floor was lifting, “that’s how it should look like” - that was his answer. Fast forward to the next day, and the floor is clearly lifted. I thought it would be easy to get someone else to repair the job, in particular because the workers in case were bluntly rude, disrespectful, unprofessional and made me and my sister feel extremely uncomfortable around them. All of this was explained to the manager of the store, with greater details, but he got stuck at the point that I “can’t say someone was being (sightly) rac**t” "just because they were unprofessional” when the “unprofessional” in question includes ignoring queries made on the spot, simply not acknowledging our presence at all and being cheeky, on MY PLACE WHILE DOING A *PAID JOB*, I mean… I had to leave to their consideration what that could be about. After all my concerns were raised, he continues to insist to send them over to fix the job. I’ve been doing a small renovation on my place, and I’ve had plasters, painters, electricians and other professionals coming over, and I can say that in any occasion I’ve felt so disrespected and disregarded. I honestly think that the fact that I’ve not complained about their behaviour - and wasn't thinking to do so - until the floor started lifting should be enough evidence that I really didn’t want to be arguing about what happened, because I’ve seen how this things tend to work and it’s forever two competing stories - but in this situation, my side wasn’t even in the run. Job was done 10/11/2023, contacted the store 13/11/2023 and again today (21/11/2023) - which they said the work could already be corrected if I didn't continue to say that I don't want the man back again for "whatever reasons" I've mentioned. Incredible

I had my carpet delivered and unfortunately it was the wrong one (warehouse issue) I called the branch who delivered it and they were incredibly helpful! So friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
They let us pick out another carpet from the store of no extra cost and let us swap it for the one we didn't order.
Boy we dealt with was brilliant. We got such a stunning carpet in the end and a super friendly service. He helped us pick a carpet that was similar to the other one, he seemed more than happy to help.
Couldn't recommend enough. But would definitely go into the store not order online.

Brilliant Service … I had an underlay mix-up and the guy was brilliant and organised delivery with better underlay (cloud 9). All done early morning before the carpet fitter arrived.
Guys in East Kilbride were terrific.

Will never buy carpets from them ever again it’s been 12 months and the carpet i bought is already going flat and got ripples in it and that’s with underlay down spend a decent amount of cash on my carpets I was told when looking for good quality carpet to purchase the one they recommend no doubt a ploy to get rid of their horrible carpets

The Hamilton store had reasonable collection and staff were helpful. The installation was done poorly. The carpet is bulging, laminate flooring is already coming out. The kitchen plinth were removed and not sized. Avoid installation from the store. Our installation was done by John. The company removes Google reviews which are not favourable.

Feel like ive just been ripped off, especially after a visit to another j&w carpets, their price was £65 for the size of room!
Will never use them again!

Aftet telling friend not to go to them in first place Carpet was lovely staff ok helpful but oh boy when comes to the fitting of carpet that's another story walked in fitted carpet told her just to paint around spindles on stair and didn't fit any carpet at bottom of stair and hopped off with what carpet that was left which was quite a bit fair and got no help at all from after sales trying to say she was happy at time which was rubbish thank god for hepworths

Brian from the Hamilton branch couldn’t have been more helpful if he tried. He was very patient and very knowledgeable, making sure my decision was the right one for me. He did all of this with a smile on his face and a great sense of humour. I’ll definitely be recommending J&W Hamilton branch as a result of my experience last week

Visited the Hamilton showroom last week, purchased a carpet and arranged for it to be fitted on a day to suit us. Fitters (paid separately) phoned before arriving and were in and out. No issues, great service.

Very helpful staff at birkenshaw uddingston store,the carpet fitters are amazing at their job, I would recommend 100%

I would give this 5* however the carpet fitter "recommended" in store and following a conversation with said fitter by the JW carpet salesman actually never completed the job he showed up and appeared quite hostile initially then continued to argued about which way round the carpet runner should be fitted (its reversible) didn't even measure and cut which bits of the carpet runner needed to be sent away and re binded or even fit a seperate landing carpet. We will never use JW carpets again and would definitely recommend to our friends and family if these are the sorts of people they "recommend" to fit their carpets/vinyl

Visited the store in Auldhouse Retail Park today and so glad we did. Was looking for carpet for two bedrooms of static caravan. After discussion with Matt regarding sizes he found a carpet end that could be cut into two pieces (which he did for us) that meant we were able to save money and won’t have much wasteage. Also purchased Lino for hallway which was also a great price. Delighted with the help and advice from Matt and will definitely go back to this store. Thank you JW and thank you Matt.

Had a problem with a carpet fitter from Kilmarnock who pretty much wrecked my lino and the guys at the Kilmarnock store have refunded me for the wrecked lino and are covering fitting costs for my new lino, top marks for that,big thanks to William from the store
