This is ongoing. Bought the Just Trays shower tray from Victoria Plumbing, and they promptly passed me to Just Trays, the manufacturer. Installed the tray in new bathroom, everything looked fine until my builder removed the protective cover on the tray. The black tray had white marks on it. Contacted Just Tray on 26th March. They sent the inspector two weeks later he agreed it was a faulty tray. This dragged on for weeks to get a resolution. Sabina took over from Suresh, who left the company. Emails and phone calls went on. On 25th September, Sabina emailed and said she has passed my builder's invoice for payment. No payment came, and I called the Account department, and they told me that Sabina did not pass them the invoice for payment. Now Sabina will not return my call or emails. Is she trying to fob me off with a promise to pay the invoice? I would say yes. 7 months of chasing, and I was promised payment, but it is not coming.
Would you use Just Trays again or Victoria Plumbing?? I think the Office of Fair Trading should look into these companies for negligence and illegal trading.

JustTrays were specified on a Large Project in London involving a large quantity of trays and time and time again we have been let down on delivery's from this company, 2 week lead time was advised when placing an order with this company, 4 weeks later and told many times all will be delivered and still fall short of there delivery dates promised with part shipments and still the order is not completed, will not be using this company again on further projects and will go over and above to change Spec.

We had an upgrade to our ensuite in September 2023 carried out by a local plumber who project managed it. The parts were supplied by Plumbase including the new shower tray sourced from Just Trays. In March this year we found a crack in the tray. I contacted both Plumbase and our installer. A time was arranged when our installer and Phil from Just Trays inspected it.
Phil was very insistent it was not installed correctly and brought some fitting instructions which our installer was certain were never included with the original packaging. He had been installing shower bases for many years and never had a problem previously. He was sure the base was faulty.
Our installer could not prove that the fitting instructions were absent and the name of the company had changed in the meantime.
But Just Trays actually provided a replacement tray through Plumbase free of charge, but did not admit the fault was theirs. I think a shower tray should last more than 18 months. This meant my installer and I had to pay ourselves for the removal, 2 new shower boards and labour to refit the shower finally completed in May.
I am over £1000 out of pocket myself for something which should have been resolved between other parties.

Terrible service from the outset, one lie after another lie, our renovation is now 2 weeks overdue because of their supply of shower trays. & then when you finally speak to someone they are rude and tell you that they don't deal with the end user only the trade account holder, put you on hold to speak to Sabrina the manager then she hangs up on you. We try to call back leave a message no return of our call, luckily we have found another supplier of the very shower trays they sell that have been re-branded and they are on their way. Will not use or recommend.

I notice that Ryan answers these reviews, Ryan, Mitch at Marabesse has been trying to call you and leave messages since Friday last week and you fail to respond, obviously its too late now but it would've been nice to not feel ignored.

Would give 0 stars it if were an option I’ve worked for this company and let me tell you it’s not what it seems, management is poor & unprofessional work is messy and dusty, managers block you on WhatsApp instead of helping you and deal with a query. I had booked Eid off for 3 days and had proof of my requested time off which I showed the agency & company even tho so the company fired me and banned me from site, said I took to much time off even tho I booked of 3 days for Eid and I had 1 sick day when I wasn’t well don’t fall for the trap further more management & talking skills of the managers are appaling not professional at all.

I installed a 1200/800 low profile tray in early October at a customers house. On completion of the installation I poured some water down the tray to check for leaks and all was good. The builders then clad all the walls and sealed the tray before I then fitted the pumped electric shower. A few days later the customer phoned me to tell me that the water wasn't draining away very well when the shower was running on full. I attended site again to find the customer was correct and sure enough the water wasn't draining away as it should. I agreed to fit a new fast flow trap but it seemed to make no difference so I then upgraded the waste from the usual inch and half to 2" thinking this would help. Unfortunately still no better. The customer then told me that she has to mop out the tray every time she uses it as there was always a pool left.
I put a level on the base of the tray to find a dip between the waste and centre of tray of about 5mm over a distance of about 400mm.
I contacted Just trays who sent a complaints procedure of roughly 15 pages of A4 to include a set of technical instructions stating that the installation be water tested for pooling before installation, preferably on a testing table.
Unfortunately these technical instructions were not included in the tray packaging but to be quite honest after 30 years of installing shower trays, it would have been the only time I would have had to carry out a quality control check for the manufacturer, who are evidently using this as a get out of jail card.
I went back to my supplier who then contacted the company but they were just sent the same ream of paperwork to fill out, including the technical instructions that were not included with the shower I purchased.
I have asked around and spoken to other plumbers in my area and it looks like there's a trend with just trays and their dismal customer service.
I have already spent two days and over £100 of my own money on trying to sort this issue for the customer, however she is still rightly not happy with her tray issues and just wants it sorted.

In the early Summer we had our bathroom replaced. Our plumber did an excellent job but a couple of weeks after he finished we noticed that the shower tray was creaking when we stood on it, when warm after a shower. Our plumber spent several hours (at his own expense) trying to fix the problem but the fault was clearly the shower tray itself and Just Trays were called in. After a few attempts to bodge a fix they admitted the tray was faulty. They gave our plumber a replacement tray (after several weeks) and offered to pay only a part of his expenses in fitting the new tray. For a company with an apparent turnover of well over £10 million to admit liability but not fully cover the expense of correcting their error seems both mean and unprofessional, at best.

Happily, the new tray has now been fitted, the cubicle re-tiled, the door refitted and, after four months, our bathroom is finished again. I do not trust Just Trays and would not recommend them or their products.

Phil Howes visited today to inspect my shower tray.
He was friendly, professional and thorough, explained the issues clearly and has been prompt in sending a detailed report.
Suresh has also been helpful, prompt and clear in his dealings with me by email and telephone.
Excellent customer service.

The distributor has been waiting a week for confirmation of where the waste is on their tray.

Had a defective shower tray that cracked after 3 years. Spoke with Ryan very efficient , and offered to replace the unit. Great customer service.

AVOID OR NOT?

I have tried to get spares for the shower waste and contacted Just Trays directly. I was completely ignored. If you decide to buy from them be aware should you need any spares you will likely need to rip out the tray and install a new one. The drains are Just Trays specific so you won't find any spares to fit to them. Do yourself a favour and go with Matki or another reputable brand, you will save a fortune down the line. Just Trays are completely unprofessional and after sales customer service is not existent. Would give 0 stars if possible...

UPDATE

After I posted a negative review on here I was finally contacted by Just Trays and my issue was resolved promptly and free of charge. I just wish I wouldn't have to use this site to get any response. On the end my problem was addressed but still I'm left with the impression it most likely would not be if not for the negative feedback. Use at your own peril.

Unbelievable customer care - and we weren't even their customer! We had a shower tray from another manufacturer installed in 2017, and four years later it developed a cracked upstand. Meanwhile, Just Trays had taken over administering the guarantee for the product. Even though the problem wasn't likely to be a manufacturing issue - and even though they weren't the manufacturer - they offered us a free replacement from their own range, and an upgrade at that, as a goodwill gesture. So huge thanks to Ryan and all at Just Trays.

Mayby as a provider of trays this company is top notch but as a employer they are very opposite.
Old, rusty, falling apart equipment, clueless, mean and abusive menagement to name the few. Terrible work enviroment plenty of hazardous materials like catalysts, oil colours, huge amunt of dust in air and almost no protection beside covid masks and cheapest easily destructible glows. Decisively one of the worst jobs I ever had in my life.

5 Stars are not enough, the customer service of this company is nothing short of excellent. I purchased one of their shower trays nearly three years ago and due to being let down by a previous installer and subsequent personal circumstances, I was not able to have it fitted until very recently. Upon opening the packaging we noticed some marks in the material which must have occurred prior to packaging and shipping. It was a long shot, but I brought it to their attention fully expecting to them deny responsibility. I was absolutely amazed that despite the passage of nearly three years they agreed to replace it. No quibble, no messing about. Superb company, I can’t recommended them highly enough.
