My experiences have exceed my expectations. A month later my dog has become a much happier, relaxed dog. She isn’t reactive towards other dogs, nor does she pull to see her friends. She’s attentive to me and easy to handle in a leash. Win, win. You won’t be disappointed with JP.

JP is a great listener and brings a balanced and realistic perspective. He took his time hearing all concerns and responded in a reassuring and way.

Working with JP has been the single best thing we could have done for our dog Sophie. We adopted Sophie and knew she was found as a stray. Our hearts were in the right place with trying to train her, but we made no progress. Since working with JP, Sophie has gone from not wanting to walk on a leash to walking twice a day! Our walking attempts used to be stressful and unsuccessful but now we all enjoy this time together. JP also worked with us on behavior inside the home, specifically guests entering who are strangers to her. Sophie has also learned how to safely exit the pool in case of an accidental fall. People who met Sophie before we worked with JP have commented on the change in her demeanor. JP works with both the dog and owners, wanting to see the family unit succeed. He has provided us with the knowledge, tools, structure, and confidence to give Sophie (and our family!) the best life. We are extremely grateful for all that he has done.

After not having success with another dog trainer in town, we contacted JP about our leash reactive and anxious cattle dog. JP is confident, very knowledgable, and knew exactly what we needed to do! We have had two sessions, are now using his recommended leash, and have implemented all of his suggestions at home. We have had so much progress in a very short period of time!! So much so that we felt confident in joining in on his recent pack walk with his other clients. At the pack walk, JP gave great directions and helped make the activity successful for all of his clients! It went better than I ever could have imagined and showed us just how far our dog has come! He also offers other client exclusive services that we are excited to use. I highly recommend JP if you are having any issues with your dog!

JP was very professional and spent a lot of time with us for our first consultation. I learned a lot and have already successfully implemented some of the techniques he showed us. I like his method and his philosophy on dog training. He has the ability to explain the techniques and make it easy to follow. I look forward to working with him going forward. I cannot emphasize how life-changing having JP as a trainer was to both me and my first dog. He has a fantastic awareness of canine behaviorism and is always professional and patient.

I rescued a shepherd mix a little over a year ago and genuinely struggled with managing her intense anxiety + low-stress threshold, leading me to shy away from tons of social environments. I poured over resources online for dogs with similar reactivity problems and tried my best at acclimatizing her on my own. There were so many issues I felt at a loss as to where to even start.

At this point, contacting JP felt like a shot in the dark for me, but after our initial consultation, I appreciated how great of a listener JP was and how he provided his perspective. We worked through multiple sessions and gradually tackled scenarios that were always designed for the long run instead of temporary solutions. There are days when I feel exhausted from reinforcing her routines, but being able to see my dog's clear improvement and her being more comfortable in her own skin honestly makes the effort all the worth.

JP is very professional and responsible trainer. He solved every issue with my one year old collie. The way he train and teach my dog is so effective that it feels like magic. He also tell everything to us the owner. He is not only teaching our dog, but he is also teaching us how to be a better owner. I bought four classes. Before each class, JP will plan out the lesson depending on our need. During the lesson, the time will be spent very effectively. With the lesson and daily practicing, my collie now knows how to walk beside me without pulling, how to get on the car, how to go out and inside the house, and overcame the fear of swimming! I’m so glad I chose JP. It was a very meaningful experience.

JP was wonderful with our two dogs. He listened patiently to all of the "issues" we wanted to address. He then gave excellent concise advice that I could put into practice and see positive results. We have our work cut out for us and I know I will need more guidance from him but I feel it is worth it to have calm content dogs.

JP is all heart...for both the dogs and their humans. He is super smart, personable and committed to helping us live well with our dogs.

Other trainers said leash training my dog is impossible, but JP proved that to be untrue.
My dog’s medical condition requires him to wear a harness indefinitely so collars/being pulled by the neck is not allowed. JP took on this leash training challenge and although it was new to him, managed to deliver a successful training session. You can’t help but to notice how knowledgeable he is in his field, well equipped he is with resources and tools, and how much he enjoys what he does. He is a honest, patient, humble, and persevering dog trainer. I’ve got some homework to do now, but by incorporating JP’s training method and following his well demonstrated techniques, I am confident that in no time my dog and I will enjoy easy and relaxed walks - with a harness!
