Last year I visited the Fagaras mountains in Romania with JWP. I was not expecting to be hosted all week by Barbara and Christoph in person! What an absolute delight and privilege to have that kind of access to this incredible project. A truly inspiring and uplifting week, impeccable organisation and a small group of likeminded travellers who were all totally engaged in the trip.

Journeys With Purpose is leading the way in redefining tourism. My trip was shortly after the pandemic, and just as New Zealand was opening its borders and I could travel again, and I noticed that as the sector’s recovery got underway, and building on unprecedented political and public recognition for how important tourism is, Journeys With Purpose was there to use it as an opportunity to rethink how we do tourism - putting people and planet first and bringing everyone from governments and businesses to local communities together around a shared vision for a more sustainable, inclusive and resilient sector. They're continuing to put this vision into action.

'Trip of a lifetime' is such an over used phrase, but in the case of Journeys With Purpose, it really rings true. I was fortunate enough to join their Argentina and the Iberá Wetlands experience. It was nothing short of incredible - I'd even go so far as to say it was transformative. Being completely immersed in this remote wilderness, so rich in bio diversity, immensely precious wildlife, previously in peril but now protected, was an eye opener - and an immense privilege. Hearing of all the challenges - and the triumphs - of rewilding Jaguars and other endangered species, firsthand from the people who continue to devote their lives to this initiative was both fascinating and humbling. As for being up close to a huge array of stunningly beautiful, magnificent creatures - it was simply breathtaking....

Journeys with Purpose organised the most enthralling trip I can remember: so many highlights from bison tracking to the best (horse) ride of my life! We were led by outstanding scientists and conservationists and accompanied by Katya, always good humoured, endlessly accomodating and, quietly, extremely efficient.

Our trip to Palau with Journeys with Purpose has had a great impact on my life. The company showed a deep passion for exploration and discovery, enriching our lives in many ways. We all gained new knowledge, appreciation and compassion for working with local organizations towards a common goal of conservation. Journeys with Purpose coordinated scientists from Scripps Institute of Oceanography and Island Conservation to enrich our experience allowing us to share in their research which inspired conversations with the experts related to pressing climate change issues and impactful solutions. I am forever grateful.

Our trip to Ibera in Argentina was truly spectacular. JWP put together the most amazing eco-tourism trip I could have ever asked for. Simply blown away with the experience, and look forward to the next one!

Wonderful trip. Words can't express, photos can't do justice. One hiccup with a cancelled flight, but the trip just felt so unreal that I was actually in Palau.

JWP provided a well-organized trip and its agents were very responsive to requests and questions throughout the entire process. I primarily interacted with Lara leading up to the trip; she was always prompt and patient in answering my questions, which were abundant.

As we head home from our JWP adventure we cannot say enough good things about Rebecca Cook and her team. We felt secure and in safe hands with their planning and oversight. We ran into a snafu thanks to Rwanda Air and Rebecca and her team at JWP handled getting us back on a preferred scheduled quickly and efficiently.
All their advice and hotel choices were just perfect. Personal notes and touches from Rebecca were at every site when we settled in which was lovely and reassuring that they were “ there” for us.
Our 16 day luxurious trip to Kenya and Rwanda was our best and most rewarding vacation ever.
