It's enough!
First of all, I love embroidery clothing, and that's the only reason I have been purchasing Johnny Was brand. 1. I don't care about this company so much as far as the way they handled orders. I got cancelled on 4 times. Apparently, their inventory control system is not working properly. It makes me so disappointed when you order something and it ended up canceled, not once but 4 times. 2. As far as the fits for their clothing, the size is unpredictable. They listed bust measurement on M size online but most of the times, they are inaccurate. It's upsetting especially you purchased it on final sale and cannot return. So you pay more money to do alteration. For the clothes that so expensive, at least they should let the customers return for store credits. There is no guarantee on customer satisfaction with this company, unfortunately. 3. In the beginning, JW.com shipping times were quite prompt, but lately it has been also a disappointment. It took a week to ship out and another week to receive. At this point, paying so much money for their high price clothing doesn't get a decent treatment from this company. Just stick to department stores, at least you can return when they don't fit!!!

My orders were cancelled without explanation. After their big sale was over, the same clothes I ordered reappeared on their website. This happened many times. In fact, there were multiple orders that I placed last week only three clothes came, and the rest are in limbo. Customer service is a nightmare!

Oxford Industries you are a disaster. I never write a review but I' taking the time to do so. You have ruined the Johnny Was name. Now you are opening stores and they are worse than the on line experience, which you have just failed miserably at. You take orders, send confirmations and then cancel them without notification. You make it the clients responsibility to figure it out, and the process is not easy to figure out. You have wasted the one thing I will not tolerate and that is my time. Your assumption that you can manage the Johnny was name has made an "ass" out of you. You need to check your station!

I have purchased thousands of dollars worth of Johnny Was items. Asked for a price adjustment. Was told to return the items, and then be recharged fully, then get the adjustment??? Have double the charges on my credit card??? Never heard of anything so STUPID in all my life. They DO NOT LISTEN TO YOU! I agree with previous complaint. NEVER SHOPPING HERE AGAIN. Clothes are not worth the over-priced dollars they collect. This loyal customer will shop elsewhere. DON'T SHOP HERE!

I just got stuck with a $400 dress that DID not meet the price standards that Johnny Was should keep. The dress size did not match with their size chart, nor did the color match and neither did the quality of material match with what it should have been for their dresses.

Falling apart after one careful washing
I bought, what I thought was a lovely white top with blue embroidery. The material was thin and cheap feeling. I wore it once and spilled some coffee on it. I followed the laundering directions and put it on cold, gently cycle and hung it to dry. The area around one of the buttons starting coming apart. I have been trying to get a hold of an agent and have not gotten any call backs. That was a $195 gift thrown out the window. I"m really pissed

I carried Johnny Was in Kailua Hawaii for over 10 years and their clothing was fabulous, exquisite and could not be found in other clothing lines. My customers loved everything I brought in for the store. I was Johnny Was's biggest buyer in Hawaii. Now, they seem to have lost their mojo since they were acquired by the big corporate machine, Oxford Industries. The patterns are big and unattractive and don't balance. They are like a bad Citron line now. A few styles are okay but 80% of the styles are disappointing. They don't even carry 100% cotton anymore. Too bad. They were fabulous in their heyday. I have a closet full of past styles but wouldn't buy a thing they are offering nowadays.

Never do business with a company that doesn't have active customer service channels. They do not respond by phone, chat or email. I received half my order - no word on the other part. Disputing charge with my card.

STOP THE WASTE
They make artsy, expensive clothes--and I returned the only item I ever purchased from them. I have asked them repeatedly to discontinue sending me catalogs at HOME and at WORK, but they cannot figure out how to do that--even when I've sent an envelope full of catalog address pages to their business office. This makes them one of the least responsive and most environmentally unfriendly companies I've come across. Shame on them!

Disappointed in the lack of compassion and empathy.
I had an accident last year where both of my feet were broken and had 5 major surgeries. I purchased several thousands of dollars in clothes on line while in bed. This clothing normally runs true to size, I normally use a large. when I was able to walk and stand. I tried on the dresses and everything else I had purchased. The two dresses and one shirt did not fit. They were too big. I have called the company several times and they told me sorry they cannot refund or give me a credit. I told him I specific problem that I had a catastrophic accident, and I was unable to walk for several months and they didn’t even acknowledge or empathy about my injury. I do not understand why they will not make an exception and help me since I had a valid reason for not returning the dresses. It is not my fault that the company did not make the dresses the sizes that they have on the label. I have reached out many many times and requested a supervisor to call me and no one has called me back. I find it is extremely difficult to return anything you purchase online. The worst part is that I cannot even return it at the store because they do not allow the store to return online product. Very sad!

The company is in the stone ages in regards to how they handle returns. So frustrating. Get with the program. If you have a correct size in one of your stores and someone brings in an online purchase and wants to exchange the item, let them!!!!! To have to jump through hoops is ridiculous. I can't get off their mailing list…
I can't get off their mailing list after a year of requesting it by contacting them by phone, email and their own unsubscribe on the website. They get around it by making you enter your name and email and address in order to be removed then proceed to re-enter your info and mail to previous addresses with the "or current resident" printed on the label so the USPS has to deliver it. It's like Mickey Mouse in the Sorcerer's Apprentice with the mop and buckets that keep multiplying - just can't get them to stop and at this point I wouldn't buy anything with their label on it if I was buck naked and it was minus zero cold.

I ordered a blouse on sale, online. When I attempted to return the item, I was told no. It was on sale for less than 1/2 the original price. At the time of purchase, I wasn't warned about this policy. I've checked the previous gmail. Saleswoman said she had nothing further she could offer. Now I can't talk with a customer service clerk. They are short-staffed so I'm told.

I bought over $500 of clothing in store that was to be shipped. I was promised tracking and an email receipt. When I didn’t receive it I called the local store which did not answer so I called corporate. I was on hold for 5 min prior to getting a live person. Once I got a live person I was put on hold while she “checked” for over 15 min
While holding and checking emails there was an auto email giving me a ticket number and telling me phones are busy and call back another time. Didn’t have the courtesy of telling me verbally. If I didn’t see the email I would still be on hold.
Very disappointing! Still have no info on my purchase.
Johnny Was added an additional charge to my card after the fact
I bought a dress from the Johnny Was website. The dress was on sale plus I had a coupon code. The total came to $229.60. My confirmation email showed everything correctly - the purchase price (labeled subtotal), discount, tax, and then total. For the tax, it said "included in subtotal" which then made the math correct. But, Johnny Was made a second charge against my account for an additional $16.02. When I called them, they explained that there was an error in their system and so the additional charge was to correct their error. A business cannot decide after the fact that they should have charged more than the customer agreed to and make a 2nd charge! But, they won't fix it and have already shipped the dress.
