Steve was a very nice guy and very professional. He explained everything and I would happily recommend the company to anyone.

The problem was that we think we had was with squirrels getting underneath our solar panels. We had a very prompt same day service from JG Pest Control. Somebody came around within about 60 min of my initial phone call and positioned the rodent traps.

Avoid this company. I was charged a £120 deposit for a job they were clearly not qualified to carry out.
I contacted them about a bird coming down my chimney. They failed to ask even the most basic and necessary questions — such as whether a gas fire was present. Only after taking payment did they then inform me they could not proceed because they are not qualified to work with gas appliances and have no one available who is.
This is a clear failure on their part to properly assess the job before taking money. As a result, I have been left £120 out of pocket with the issue unresolved, during an already stressful time with a 3-day-old baby in the house.
Taking payment for services you are unable to provide is unacceptable and, in my view, misleading. I now expect a full and immediate refund of the £120. If this is not resolved promptly, I will have no hesitation in escalating the matter further.
I strongly advise others to avoid this company.

Be very cautious of the positive reviews. They keep coming up with questionable regularity.

Look at the Negative reviews. There 2 x JG Pest Control on this site - so check both.

Look at Checkatrade posts too. Very revealing.

They do NOT deliver what they sell. The technician confirmed they do not do internal checks of your home and fill holes to deter rat infestation.

• Their own T&Cs state the contract is the phone call.
• If they didn’t tell you their payment terms on that call and mis sold the service, you are entitled to go straight to your bank/card provider if they refuse to refund you.
• Tokenisation does NOT give them the right to auto charge you unless you explicitly agreed to the amount, timing, and purpose.

DO NOT USE THEM!

I am now proceeding with my credit card company, a chargeback and Section 75 claim, and reporting the matter to Trading Standards.
