I would just like to say a massive thank you to the staff Alex, Becky, Rachel for there professionalism during and after the meltdown I had in gym, as I suffer from mental health issues caused through trauma and I find exercise is my way of coping with it even though sometimes it gets to much and I have a meltdown but Alex was extremely supportive, helpful and professional and the way he handled the situation, I think it’s very important for the staff to be trained for situations like this as a lot of people do prefer exercise to help there mental health and problems from trauma as exercise is an excellent choice for people with mental health issues, I just can’t get over how fantastic Alex was in dealing and handling with things the way he did, he was very very professional in this situation and would also would like to give a massive apology to other customers if it caused any distress to them.
I think he needs a big pat on the back for understanding and so professional in handling my situation many thanks Carol

JD gyms 😀what more can I say,everything you could possibly think of under one roof including all the weight machines to workout every part of your body and the loose weight selection is endless.
And to top it off after your workout you can relax in the sauna and freshen up with a shower.for £25 a month this is a no brainer.

We decided to go and have a look around our local JD gym to see if we wanted to join (we had never been gym members before!) so felt quite nervous. We were shown around the entire gym by one of the staff and made to feel very at ease. We then booked an induction and the member of staff was fabulous, showed us how to use all the equipment and made us welcome.

Staff really friendly and helpful. Loads of classes available and lots of choice regarding personal trainers.

Plenty machines clean and friendly atmosphere.

I go to the gym everyday and the same gym equipments always filled with trash and the shower rooms always stinks of urine. They need to up their cleanliness!

Overall he gym aspect is enjoyable, clean and a welcoming space. Unfortunately where this is let down badly is the changing rooms, at a glance they look clean and tidy but when showering the filth is evident on every surface. The shower experience is very poor due to lack of water pressure, you practically have to hug the wall to get wet and amidst getting wet the shower turns off due to its silly timed sensor. If this was rectified jd gym would get a 5 star rating.

Moved from xercise 4 less to sister gym last week. Staff were approachable, equipment clean and available on the times I went. I intend to try out some classes. Only gripe is the ladies changing rooms are clean enough, but the shower drains need cleaning out more regularly, terrible stench comes from them.

Been coming here for a couple weeks now and it has been quite good so far. I would recommend.

Only 1 thing that kind of annoys me though is the dumbbell racks not being in order... The weights are scattered in different places so it's awkward to find 2 of the same...

Really hot air con not the best and it gets far to busy

Gym is great, clean and always room to do what I need to do. Only reason it’s not a five star is it’s quite warm, no matter what time of the day I go and even when it’s empty.

Love the gym but it really needs air con. It can get uncomfortably hot when the weather is hot outside. The staff are helpful when approached. They are always visible

Great facility, Friendly staff

Friendly helpful staff member showed me around and explained everything. Easy to join and no contract to worry about. Large gym with plenty choice of equipment

Air con on so low or not at all, could pass out with the heat in that gym when doing cardio.
