Hi ive recently passed my cat c (class 2) license 1st attempt and couldn't of asked anymore from the team at j coats I had 3 lessons and then my test. 2 of the lessons with liam he was calm friendly and proffesional and gave me a great foundation into getting my test passed on the 2nd day I had simon again very chilled I was at ease straight away genuinely both top instructors and got me through a 1st time pass highly recommended thanks again guys😉

I had a great experience with J Coates Driver Training while getting my Class 2 licence. From day one, Liam made me feel at ease and helped build my confidence behind the wheel. He’s a top bloke—patient, knowledgeable, and always willing to help whenever I needed it. The training was clear, well-structured, and really supportive throughout. I’d definitely recommend J Coates to anyone looking to get their licence. Passed my test today with only 1 minor fault.

I recently completed my HGV training with J Coates and passed my test last Friday on my second attempt. I cannot thank the team enough for the support they gave me throughout.
Liam was my main instructor during the practical side and I genuinely could not have asked for better. I spent a lot of time training with him and he made a massive difference, not just in terms of skills but also confidence. He explains things in a way that really sticks and some of the things he taught me were absolutely invaluable when it came to test day. By the end of it, it did not just feel like training with an instructor, it felt like I had made a mate. I would happily meet him for a drink.
Austin mainly helped me with my CPC and reversing test. I did not spend as much time with him, but he made every session enjoyable. Constant dad jokes in his strong Brummie accent kept things light, which actually helped take the pressure off and made learning easier.
Overall, a great experience from start to finish. I highly recommend! I really appreciate everyone involved for helping me get through it and pass.

Well done and many thanks to Chris and Paul who shared the teaching on my CPC on-line course yesterday.
They both have a professional, but relaxed style, and with their extensive knowledge and experience of commercial driving, were able to give clear answers to the questions asked by the delegates.
The day was enjoyable and with quizzes and anecdotal examples of real incidents, passed very quickly.
