JAYCO JUNK
We bought one brand new last year 2023. Had issues off the bat. Here's review for less than 1 full years use: Very cheaply made- for reference- the fridge has had multiple issues and the cheap vanier fake wood around it has bubbled due to that.
Supposedly this is an "offroad" trailer- but the table inside broke from the slightest jostling on city pot-hole driving. (When stowed as directed)

The bottom sink/kitchen cabinet door to hold a plastic cutting board, tin foil and plastic baggies (3lbs Max or less) and it BROKE the door. The door was broken off the next time we drove it and walked in after to find it that way. All city driving in L.A. I would NEVER trust this offroad at all- the entire thing would probably come apart. Complete garbage.
JAYCO is junk. Not sure where their supposedly good reputation came from- maybe they have skimped post covid- but the trailer we own from them has been nothing but a junk nightmare and waste of money.

Pop Out Issues on Jayco Eagle HT Bunkhouse
The kitchen pop out warps the side wall of this Jayco Eagle HT 38ft bunkhouse travel trailer. The pop out leans out about 1" from level. You can visually see the the bend in the wall. Jayco refused to fix the problem by stating "Jayco would decline to participate". This issue was noted to them back in Nov 2020 after the first setup. Personally as an Aerospace Engineer this wall could fail without any notice while being occupied. After checking carefully while the trailer was on a concrete pad and the floor was perfectly level, I notice all the pops were out of level.
Very disappointed with Jayco Adelaide.
Put our new $180,000 Motorhome in for first service and a few minor repair issues. Jayco had MH for 3 weeks and when we went to pick it up (after calling 3 days earlier to confirm repairs were completed and we could collect MH) they asked to keep it for another week as they hadn't attended to some of the repairs including taking it for a test run to listen for some squeaks in cabin. They had only repaired 3 minor issues in the 3 weeks they had it. When we got it home and parked in different lighting, we noticed our new fridge door had all swirl scratch marks in it as if it had been wiped over with a dirty cloth. The fridge door had been removed during service to replace hinges. They deny all responsibility for scratches, saying they did not do it when we 100% know that the door wasn't scratched when we dropped it off to them. We have always defended Jayco to others who had negative things to say about them as we had previously owned a JAYCO caravan for 11 years but not any more. Very very disappointing!

Pathetic / non existent customer service. Pay top price expecting a top product and when you have issues the people with the decision making power hide behind telephony systems. Great job Jayco.
support doesnt exist
I had the unfortunate experience yesterday of being unable to retract my awning as the wind was increasing in intensity. I lashed it down and then rang the 24hr Jayco assist number at 3.30. assuming the advertising blurbs I received at the time of purchase were correct.
“Jayco RV owners can enjoy the reassurance of the Jayco Assist program available with every purchase of a new Jayco RV* to the original owner. Jayco Assist provides 24/7 emergency support and assistance for the first three years of Jayco RV ownership whilst travelling and away from home.”
I was shocked by the response.
I stated where I was (Victor Harbor) and was informed that the closest agent was in Adelaide, and I would need to ring them to organise assistance. I informed him that Adeleide was at least 90 min away if they had someone available.
Top roadside support!!!
I said is there any local support available and the operator said he would look into it and call back.
I then sought assistance from the park reception staff who immediately sent the assistant manager to assist me. I eventually managed to get the awning to retract but it lost the plot.
To get it out press retract to get it in press extend.
After a few cycles turning off at the end of each and the trying again I was able to get the awning to extend when I pressed extend and retract when I pressed retract.
The awning is not stopping at the right place, but I can live with that at the moment.
The operator rang back at 5.30 and informed me that no local services were available.
My van is booked in for warranty repairs in January and I will add this event to the list.

ii. First three years of Jayco RV ownership refers to three years from the date of delivery and registration of the RV.
iii. Emergency refers to a situation during transit requiring immediate assistance and/or transport to the nearest Jayco service agent or similar.

3. Emergency Assistance in Transit/Away from Home a) If your RV becomes immovable or unable to be towed due to an operational malfunction, assistance will be provided by connecting you to a Jayco repair agent (or similarly qualified party) for advice and, if needed, on-site assistance to inspect and resolve the malfunction.

As a fire fighter since 98, I know how important fire safety is.
In December we had an RV tech chek out our furnace and they said it’s fine!
A few months later my wife being smart jumped into action when our 2020 Jayco Northpoint with a Dometic furnace caught fire in February 2023. It was -5 F degrees in Utah and I was at the fire station. She called me and said she smelled smoke. Our dog had alerted her and she got the kids and the dog into our truck. She turned off the breakers and the gas, which prevented a total loss of the trailer.
When I came home, I found the furnace had burned a hole through the burn chamber and damaged the floor, wires, and pipes. The fire had also melted the water lines, which sprayed water and stopped the fire from spreading. I spent $8,000 to repair the damage and sent the furnace back to Dometic. They refused to reimburse me for anything. Jayco also denied any responsibility. I didn’t even get a discount on new parts. I hired an RV tech and showed them the receipts, but they didn’t care. I only asked for some help with the repair costs, not for extra expenses like lodging and loss of work.
Both companies blamed each other and ignored me. I fixed the trailer and sold it. I will never buy a Jayco or a Dometic product again. If you care about your family, you should avoid them too. I was lucky that my wife acted fast and saved our family (my wife, four kids, and two dogs). I didn’t claim it on the insurance because I thought one or the other would take care of us. It also took months to get denied from Dometic. I didn’t have the furnace anymore so insurance would not cover it! I should have called insurance first! So we paid all of this out of pocket!
I heard nothing from Jayco!
Dometic said it was an install issue and wipped their hands free! They didn’t try to help me or work with Jayco on it. They just blamed the install. If the install could have caused this, they should be getting with Jayco and making sure installs are correct.
I do not see how an install could have caused the issue. The burn chamber burned through itself. So I would have to say the metal had a weakness in it. It happens, but just to pass the buck and say it wasn’t your problem or faulty product, is crazy!

Repair jammed main entrance door (service)
Main entrance door jammed/stuck shut. We were unable to take trailer for service and was told we had to pay someone to come out to give quote. Waited two weeks for approval. Paid service man again to come and repair door. Repair man now has to wait 2 months to get paid. Several phone calls and emails happened to get this repair done (three weeks worth) Repair man stated he would never do any repairs for Jayco again.

Parts overcharge

Easy job to fit it myself.
Jayco quoted $1650 for this simple moulded plastic part that surely cost no more than $20 out of China. Parts for our previous Dethleffs caravan were much more affordable.
Jayco Auckland New Zealand
Jayco Auckland New Zealand. Two reflects after purchase communication with Jayco Auckland. Received new Jayco with what appears to be a rushed finishing. Diesel dust through entire caravan, water pump not working and the finishing (sealant) very rough. Amongst other stuff including faulty faucet in bathroom. Mostly cosmetic so after spending $85,000 we spent two days cleaning and adjusting as no service agents close by. But annoyingly, bolster that extends the bed is “blue”. The rest of our caravan is a grey. Tony at Jayco Auckland said Jayco Australia do a “run” of a fabric and all Jaycos at the time of mine would have got a blue squab. Don’t believe this nonsense but they refuse to provide us with a matching fabric and was told by stony to pull the duvet up over it so I can see it. Unacceptable. Not cool after purchase service in Auckland. Dorothy Spiotta.
Had to have a new roof made
Had to have a new roof made, took 11 months, rang jayco repeatedly and was told on all occasions that they we’re waiting on parts, had 3 girls from the jayco ring on 3 seperate occasions to advise roof was ready, we then rang our repairer to advise that the roof was finished and to book it in, our repaired then rang jayco to see when it would be on the coast but were advised that it hadn’t been started, this happened on 3 occasions, finally arrived on the coast and repairer rang us for a book in date but told us there were marks on the new roof, they rang jayco who told them to clean it. This would have to be the worst service I have ever come across. Will be putting caravan on the market as we will never purchase another Jayco again. Will be interesting to see how our contractor goes replacing this new roof, if not happy will be taking this further
Bought a 2023 Jayco 21mml
Bought a 2023 Jayco 21mml. Noticed when the slide is in there were openings on both sides of the slide. Took it to a service center for repair and was told this was how the trailer was designed. REALLY! I was reluctant to purchase a Jayco but so liked the layout. Now I have buyers remorse.

Purchased our 5th wheel brand new and have had problems since driving off the lot. It has been in for warranty repairs for combined total of 14 months of the 23 months we have owned it. It is still waiting for more repairs. Talked with various people at Jayco, no one cares. Refuse to extend warranty and of course won’t replace the trailer. Spent $100,000 on something that can’t be used. Stay away from this horrible company that sells defective products and has the worst customer service.
Quality
Quality, quality 3rd world standard, can't get anyone to work on. I have a list of 30 items that have gone wrong with Jayco Motorized division and camping world Myrtle Beach. I will never buy or deal Camping World and or Jayco Junk. I have been trying to find a lawyer to pursue lemon law to get a new comparable class c unit for nothing.
2018 Jayco Greyhawk With Peeling Seats
I have a 2018 Jayco Greyhawk that is a absolutely nice looking coach with the full body paint. My only problem is with the seat fabric that they use - inferior material that is absolutely junk and they KNOW it! It peals after the two warranty expires. Can you imagine if your house furniture, car or truck seats peeled very early in life? No more customer good will since they know that are putting out junk.
Absolutely horrible craftsmanship
We've had our Northpoint for 2 years and since day 1, we've had a air conditioner problem and nobody seems to know how to fix it. I worked in the industry for years, and Jayco never would of accepted this in the 90's. Stay as far away from Jayco as you can.

Absolutely worst product craftsmanship you will find in this industry. Had 3 leaks first time using supposed brand new camper. Inside totally flooded and damaged and Jayco refused to fix properly. They do not give a hoot about you the customer after they have your money. Service agents are Absolutely useless and rude. DO YOURSELVES A FAVOR AND DON'T BUY JAYCO PRODUCTS, YOU WILL BE BUYING A PILE OF JUNK AND HAVE ZERO BACKING FROM THIS MANUFACTURER.
