Our tour guide Keigo was awesome! He was really fun to talk to and showed interest and care for what we wanted to see and do while on the tour (schedule/location allowing of course). Having the transfers to/from the airport, as well as the baggage transfers between cities, was extremely helpful. My only complaint about the baggage transfer is you can only send 1 bag through the service, and most people travel with a carry-on and a personal bag at the minimum so we wound up having to pay extra and arrange the transfers for our personal bags. The activities and sightseeing on the tour were all so fun though! Some of the days felt rushed, like we only got a small taste of everything we were doing, and we had to cut our Maiko dinner experience short one night because apparently the bus driver needed to finish his route so we didn’t get to finish all the courses unless we wanted to taxi ourselves back to the hotel. We also had to wait 30+ minutes on two separate occasions because people on our tour disregarded the meeting time, but that is no fault of JDT. In fact, it’s great that they were willing to wait for everyone, but it did eat into our time for other activities and it was pretty frustrating sitting around for 30+ minutes waiting for someone to find their way out of the foot bath at the Open Air Sculpture Museum. Minor inconveniences aside, I will definitely book another Japan trip through JDT in the future :)

The tour itself was enjoyable and the activities chosen were enjoyable and had some hits that I would not have otherwise undertaken.

The main issue for myself and my wife was that the actual planning and methodology behind each day left a bit to be desired.

We regularly were brought to locations that were wonderful, but were given very little in the way of explanation or context for what something was or why we were seeing it. We also had several outings that I think warranted more time and attention. The lunches and such we were provided also left a lot to be desired and I would have enjoyed more general staples rather than the higher end fair we were given.

Overall we enjoyed the tour, but did not love it. The people we met were 10/10 and that alone was worth the expense, I just wish the actual guiding portion of the trip had been slightly stronger.

Lots of walking, but that was expected. Tour covered hotels, almost all travel like busses, trains etc. so we did not have to, which is great considering the little to no Japanese we know. Lots of different things to see and do. Had a pleasant time.

We had an absolutely wonderful trip to Japan with Japan Deluxe Tour! From start to finish, everything was terrific. The itinerary was beautifully planned, every detail was handled so thoughtfully, and everything went smoothly. We were able to relax and enjoy the incredible sights, experiences, food, and culture without having to worry about the logistics.

I loved hotel locations. It was so convenient to shopping and good eats. I liked our tour guy, Rocky was awesome.

Hotel accommodations were very Good.
Airport transfers were prompt and efficient.

Japan Deluxe Tours arranged a memorable 9 day trip for us in Japan. The itinerary was shared on time. All arrangements were done with out fail. Hotels were great, the guide was excellent.
