Terrible service and soon all emails lost…
Terrible service and to make it worse all free tier users will soon have to pay up or lose access to all their masked emails and related accounts.
I have been a Blur customer for years and I also went through the Blur to Ironvest transition and will soon have another change hoisted on my account. Like other uses, I have had issues with email forwarding not working, not being able to log into my account when the password doesn't work, etc.
If it wasn't bad enough not to receive forwarded emails, it appears the worst is yet to come. Ironvest is now transitioning for a third time to Ivy and along with this change they will eliminate their free services including email masking. The effect of this is that all of my masked emails will soon only be accessible with a paid subscription. I appreciate that companies need revenue to survive but this change will effectively lock out all users that don't pay for Ivy going forward. Almost all of the accounts I signed up for using Blur / Ironvest use the email address to identify the account. It is normally the one piece of information that can't be changed on an account so I will have to pay for Ivy or lose all of my accounts and history.
What a disrespectful way to treat customers. Would it be so hard to grandfather all existing emails and start charging for new emails using a new Ivy domain? Seems like an easy solution that wouldn't negatively impact everyone using what once was a good system.
