Since the system changed (few months ago), we encountered a lot of issues with intouch and no answers to our questions. After countless amount of call, we are finally put through Wendy Pilkington who helped us with every single issues we had. She is very professional and is clearly passionated by her work. I had to write a review because she is the reason why we have not cancelled our contract with Intouch. Wendy you are a star and should be rewarded as such.

Terrible company. Paid £1200 Got one tax return out of the. They attempted this years return after months of me chasing them, and they've come up figures that are nowhere near what they should be.
They said that's the figures on free agent. But if my expenses differ by £30,000 from one year to the next but no real change in turnover surely they'd realise that might be a red flag!
Waste of time and money!!!

Financial suicide!
Avoid at all costs! Do not return calls/emails.
Not spoken to an "accountant' in over 1 year, Just multiple random account managers. (They are not accountants ask for their ACCA numbers). The accounts shown to me were incorrect, Journal entrys on my Xero were not for my company. Refused to correct. Accounts still not filed deadline September 2024. Resulting in Fines. Turns out the 2 years accounts before this were also incorrect.
My actual accountant left, I located her on LinkedIn, she has removed all evidence on her profile of ever working for Intouch accountants.
*Please avoid this company for your mental and financial Health!
*Please avoid the staff members should they apply for a job at your company.
*Financial negligence - failed to perform their job to the standard expected of them, resulting in harm to me and my business and all the former clients who have left reviews here.

Been a customer for 7 years and service has really declined. There’s been a mistake and have lost confidence in my “contact point” . Was never really impressed he seems to only answer some emails when he feels like it. Have asked three times for his manager to call.
I’m due so many outstanding web filing my company has collected points. Looking to see if another accountancy firm can take over now. Should have done years ago when the service went down

As many others I have been waiting for my end of year accounts and chasers for updates are ignored. If they put as much effort to responding to emails as they do about putting responses on negative reviews here, maybe they would not get so many. I was a customer for 6 years but not any more.

I have been with InTouch for nearly 7 years and this year the service has gone through the floor. No one answers emails, it takes days to get through, I have been chasing my draft accounts since June, have been promised by 3 different people they would be sent this week and yet silence and no accounts. The fact that I am paying for this appalling service is disgusting, they should be compensating me. They obviously don’t care about the company and the way they are going this will be closed down before it goes bust. Once I have my accounts I am leaving and the ombudsman who regulates this company will be made aware of the atrocious service, this company is the worst run company I have ever dealt with in my working life.

I Just finished my onboarding meetings with Donna Atherton, all I can say is very knowledgeable and understanding, I'm new to to filling my company tax as mine is a new business, Donna helped a great deal with navigating the in's and outs of it all, helping me every step of the way can't thank her enough.

Minus stars would be far more accurate.
Ongoing issues from early this year…still unresolved!! Hundreds of calls and emails, mostly unanswered.
They’ve duplicated all earnings submitted to HMRC so all tax/income is incorrect…submitted wage reports after I’d been made redundant from the company using these ‘accountants’ so left me without any other support as it looked like I was still getting an income.
Have the cheek to send marketing emails and texts but not reply or do their jobs correctly!

I have been a customer for several years and initially had a faultless service - I even recommended them a few times. Then my personal accountant left in 2022 and it's been downhill ever since. Telephone calls go unanswered. Emails can take 4-8 weeks to be answered or resolved. Two late VAT submission penalty point and fines later and now I suspect my latest VAT return is incorrect too. The final straw is their portal and CRM system which clearly intends to remove all human interaction and the end customer is left with the inability to communicate with their accountant. I decided that I would give notice and move to another accountant. I called and was told that the only way to do that was to speak to someone in their customer support team who would ring me back. Guess what? No returned call. I sent a letter in too. I'm in limbo and it doesn't seem like they care one iota. The service is so poor I would give it zero stars if I could.

I would give no stars if I had the choice!
Avoid like the plague!
You cannot even cancel they give you some waffle that someone will call you.
And expect you to wait 7-8 months for your accounts to be filed. They can not give you any up to date information. Completely incompetent!
I am making a complaint Tuesday to the financial ombudsman

My experience, since the inception of the new portal has been really poor. Introducing a new portal that doesn't provide, as a minimum, a monthly salary schedule for its customers shows a lack of preparation and, actually, a Heath Robinson approach, especially as the portal it replaced covered the basics very well. That said, in the last 2 days I have had the pleasure of a extremely courteous help desk and Donna Slater who has provided the data I required to move forward. I now have a go to person who can hopefully smooth my relationship with the `Brooksons' version of Intouch. Well done Donna.

I was a customer of Intouch for more than 7 years and I had no issues until the past year. This is also reflected on my previous 2 reviews. Since the takeover from Brookson and eventually the move to their new accounting portal everything stopped working.
Not to go to too much detail, amongst other things, they missed a confirmation statement which nearly ended in strike-off action against my company which I found out by luck. The portal even after 5 months and numerous emails and calls wasn't working for me to manage my account. Also, it took them 7 months to prepare my final year accounts only after I called and emailed them many many times. Needless to say that my "personal" accountant had disappeared and never replied to emails or calls but I was lucky enough that another accountant ocassionaly stepped in and got things done for me, eventually.
Offering 50% off for a non-existing service is not the way to keep customers.
