Lloyds bank took £20.000 out of my account and paid to someone. I didn’t approve. I am going to the police and the press unless they pay me back. Utter scandal.
Grateful
I had to contact the bank re what I thought was, at first, a scam. I spoke with Sufyan, so impressed he was very helpful, very polite, patient and above all else very efficient. Being somewhat nervous of what the outcome could be he put me at ease, explained what was to be done, how it was going to be done. I cannot praise him enough.
I payed £7 for Lloyds travel before…
I payed £7 for Lloyds travel before leaving UK to USA so that I’d be able to use my card abroad. Even with that my card got blocked for online transactions, I could not use it for Uber rides, food shopping online or Uber eats. Twice I was stranded with kids with Uber rides being declined and could not get food from shops or restaurants online. I called them after 4days of wondering why my card was not working and they told me it had been blocked for online transactions and they were lifting up the ban. My card then worked for rides only but not food restaurants or supermarkets online shopping while for other people I was with Barclays worked perfectly well. Please don’t waste your £7 for abroad travel there is a lot other cards that are better.
10 days seting up an account & they have no record of my ID verification
Awful. I spent a few hours applying for an International account. About 4 days later I got an email saying I'd receive a text with steps on ID verification. I use Bitdefender and it said unsafe site! I continued as I knew it was Lloyds. The process took about 30 minutes because the photo kept getting rejected. 4 days later I called to see what was happening with my application. After 10 mins on the phone the support person cut me off.
I then emailed them to see how my application was progressing. The following day I got an email (it wasn't a reply to my email - it seemed they had no record of that) saying they hadn't heard from me and would cancel my application. I called them and spoke to a nice person who said I'd have to wait 10 mins which I did. Thy had no record of my ID verification so would send me a new link. I took a screenshot so have proof that it went through
After that alarm bells went off for me so I came to Trust Pilot and saw the horrendous reviews. I'm going to stay well clear of them. Also the phone number listed on their email cames up as suspected fraud. I informed them of this and they now seem to have fixed that. Another reason to stay away from them is I think their cybersecurity is weak.
I'm grateful sites like TrustPilot exist
Lloyds International 1.5 hours of…
Lloyds International 1.5 hours of incompetentence to attempt to set up online banking. 5 calls, they hung up twice!. Difficulty understanding staff. Avoid at all cost.
Loyalty use to mean something
I have been with Lloyd's bank a very long time. I have an issue with a Klana which my bank refuses to stop my payments to. I am changing my bank Lloyds don't protect there customers.
Useless
Outdated, inconvenient and frustrating.
DO NOT USE THIS BANK!
Every online transaction you attempt to make using your debit card will be questioned and requires you to not only fill in the Clicksafe verification (which even Lloyds do not trust) but to follow up with a phone call to confirm "yes, I am trying to using my card to spend my money".
Internet banking cannot be accessed or logged into unless you also confirm you are trying to log in with telephone verification.
Payments get cancelled without any follow up. Tried booking flights the other day only to find out that Lloyds have declined the transaction. All seats on the flight are now taken and no more flights available for a week.
As others have already said - avoid these clowns. Lloyds is the most inconvenient, useless bank available.
Dear Trustpilot: Most worst bank in the world
Dear Trustpilot:
Don't remove again my feedback for that useless Lloyds bank workers and branch!
I can confirm everything in the court again and again!
The most worst Lloyds branch
Lloyds bank old Stratford center branch (60 The Broadway, London E15 1NG) - The most worst Lloyds bank branch ever I've been in London!
Today 24.02.2023 I have meet in the staff some lady and her name was Neha! I've asked her to help me to finish the opening of my classical account. And there just left for me to provide my ID passport and proof of address!
I have provided my passport and my bank statement for Barclays bank, but she told me because can't accept it my bank statement because there missing the stamp of the bank and my full first name. I was going back to my Barclays bank and I have asked them to printed me new copy of my bank statements with full my first and last name, but they told me that is the standard of Barclays bank and they can't to printed any diferent bank statement and they was surprised why Lloyds bank staff make any problems if the bank statement are original.
Ive get back again to Lloyds bank old Stratford center branch (60 The Broadway, London E15 1NG) and i do tried to explain to that lady Neha, because fro Barclayd they can't to provided another bank statement, because that is the standard of Barclays. But that Neha who's looks like a pakistani was very rude and reject my documents. After that I asked to speak with the manager of the bank Mr. Haz who's also looking like Pakistani. But before that she visit his office and provided to him wrong information about my case. Mr. Haz spоke with me and also reject my original bank statement and he said it not possible to accept it like proof of address.
I do provided to him also letter from HMRC from my last year tax return and he also said it's not proof of address!
He asked my for letter from my GP and any others HMRC letters and also rejected to finish the opening of my classical account in Lloyds!
I do my negative feedback now to let you know to stay far away from that useless bank who's occupied from useless and rude staff!

Always friendly and helpful
Always friendly and helpful. Sometimes you need to talk to a human being, not a machine.
Legacy bank that should be taken out back and put out of its/our misery
Difficult to add too much more than has already been said in all the other overwhelmingly negative reviews. But simply avoid at all cost.
Been a Lloyds Bank customer for almost 30 years, started off with great service but over the last few years has deteriorated, but when I moved abroad recently, I stupidly thought I would use their international account anyway.
Tried to transfer money to my account in the middle east. 11 days and still waiting. Was desperate for the money as had to pay for a visa. Eventually gave up and used xe.com. Thier transfer arrived in my account the next day, despite Lloyds saying it was my foreign bank that was the problem. Calling customer service is pointless. Have called 7 times and still no sign of the money.
Also as others said near impossible to access your account online. Have to recieve a call and then wait 20 seconds before entering a pin, but it rarely works on first attempt. A couple of weeks ago it took 11 attempts just to log on.
Cannot wait to get back to the UK in a couple of weeks to end the misery and move everything to another bank.
Avoid Lloyds they're outdated and an inconvenience to use
If you work in the marine/offshore industry do not waste your time with Lloyds International. You cannot access your account or even transfer funds unless you have mobile phone reception - which when you're at sea, you won't have.
If you're shore based - Don't waste your time with Lloyds bank either. Every other time you attempt to use your card it will be declined or blocked and you will have to got through the painful process of contacting Phone bank...hahaaa - providing you are contacting them during working hours monday to friday... which is just awesome when these #$@!'$ decide to cancel your card in the evening or worst case scenario on saturday afternoon.
Their security is outdated, clunky and inconvenient. Choose one of the internet banks (Starling or Revolute), which offer a far more convenient service.
Probably the lowest quality service…
Probably the lowest quality service available internationally by any bank. These guys are inept, lazy and a little dishonest.
2 months have gone now since 500 GBP have disappeared from my account.
Dysfunctional website, ineffective customer service, ineffective complaints department.
LLoyds idea of resolving complaints is to stonewall their customers including changing their website so you cannot post a complaint any more or even enquire from your own account about anything other than new business for the bank.
