Terrible process from start to finish. Unclear instruction on completing required paperwork, how to and who to get quotes from, whether to go ahead with job, whether claim would be paid. The whole time I felt like Instalsure were trying to get out of paying. I still have to wait another 4 weeks to actually get the money back. Why?

It is now ten months since the fault was first reported, ten very frustrating and infuriating months trying to deal with people at Installsure whose idea of customer service is to be as obstructive as possible. We are now waiting to hear from the Financial Ombudsman Service.

Our experience with Installsure has been appalling. Our door is still within the 10-year warranty, and the installsure have admitted in writing to taking over Safestyle’s accounts — yet they refuses to provide proper support.
Instead, they sent us a 3-page form demanding proof of payment (despite already having our policy details) and told us to chase quotes from their so-called “approved tradespeople,” none of whom answer the phone or return calls. By the time Installsure bothered to reply, we had already had to organise and paid a trusted local tradesman to fix the problem ourselves.
What makes this worse is that the faulty door actually invalidated our home insurance. If someone had broken in through this door, we wouldn’t be covered — but Installsure simply doesn’t care. Their lack of urgency and support has left us completely exposed and out of pocket.
This company makes the claims process deliberately difficult, takes no responsibility, and leaves customers vulnerable. We feel utterly let down and can not recommend them to anyone.

Thanks so much to Demi for keeping my claim moving. Whilst I found the communication a little vague when I fist logged my claim - there was no email confirmation so i took a screen shot of the instruction to proceed so I recommend all claimants do this at the first stage. Once the claim got underway Demi was on hand and kept me informed and dealt with my reimbursement really efficiently.
Dealing with any form of insurance is often a minefield and you can feel that the insurers objective is to reimburse you as little as possible - this is NOT the case with Installsure. All the major house and car insurers should take note!

Well I thought the process would take ages. It did not. I also thought it would be difficult to fill out over complicated forms.It wasn’t. And the team asked me how I was getting along with the forms. The communication has been clear and each step explained. I am now just waiting for the work to start once we have a mutual date

I didn't hold out much hope for my claim after reading the reviews. It proved right. A very simple claim took 7 weeks to reply to after jumping through all the paperwork hoops to be declined. Apparently is reasonable for the locking mechanism to fail after 12 months. The products are diabolical. I should have.paid a little more.to go elsewhere as was recommended when obtaining quotes for composite doors in the first place.
