I wrote to several guides about a specific area I was looking to tour. One of them wrote back to me and quoted me a price. At first I didn't think to check, but it seemed high, so then afterward I checked the advertised tour I replied to, and it turns out the price I was quoted was 40% higher than what was advertised! The guide would not honor the advertised price. I contacted the site, and they told me she does not have to honor the advertised price, but that they would make sure she updates it.

Weeks later, it has still not been updated, even after I followed up with them. They clearly don't care if their guides are honest, and they don't care if their guides use "bait and switch" tactics.

Unfortunately, we had a bad experience with INDY GUIDE and cannot recommend this platform. INDY GUIDE recommended a guide in Mongolia to us without first checking their reliability and quality. It turned out that the guide had no travel planning experience. She did not stick to the agreed itinerary, changing it almost daily without our involvement, and there was no commitment to the plan. The guide embezzled an advance payment for a hotel and only refunded it after we threatened to call the police. When we confronted INDY GUIDE about this, they expressed regret but offered no apology and/or (at least partial) refund of the agency fee.

Conclusion: INDY GUIDE does not fulfil its responsibility to check guides in advance, as they advertise on their website.

I work with this platform like a driver and guide since 2018. Best opportunity for developing own small business and hobby in tourism of Kyrgyzstan.
