Visited the store at Witham Hull I was not sure which mobility scooter would be best for me and was very nervous about trying one Laura at the store was very helpful and gave me loads of time to try different scooters and encouraged me to test drive around the store and outside. Laura explained how everything worked and showed us how easy it was to store the scooter in the car boot. I was very happy to come home with my 1st mobility scooter and cannot thank Laura enough for all her help and very friendly approach.

Friendly staff, would recommend!

Today I broke the key in the ignition of my mobility scooter..
Thank goodness for Independent Mobility in Hornsea.
They had a replacement key and it was so inexpensive, I bought two.!
Within half an hour I was on my scooter and mobile again.
Nick was a helpful polite and knowledgeable assistant.

Yet again fantastic service from Independent Mobility. Purchased furniture months ago and then had to delay delivery which was never a problem to them. Susan at Hutton Cranswick very understanding and excellent service. Beverley branch also involved and as always exceptional service. This time we had delivery of furniture and cannot thank the young chaps enough as the access to the property had changed since the furniture was purchased. They set to work taking furniture to bits and setting it up again inside which was no easy job, no complaints and so polite they were just brilliant. Thank you so much we couldn't be more delighted with the furniture and service and many thanks to Ann-Marie for listening and supporting us with everything you are a star ⭐

Poacher in a pickup, Hornsea

I initially spoke to Phil in the Grimsby store and then Maxine helped my mum at the store. We could park right outside the store, they listened to exactly what my mum wanted and showed us a lightweight walker with a seat. My mum was initially reluctant but after a few circuits of the store was convinced and walking more comfortably. Great service from patient non-pushy people- definitely recommend. Maxine even walked with mum out to the car.

Recently I have purchased a lightweight wheelchair from the Beverley shop and a riser recline chair from the Hornsea shop. In both cases my family and I were treated with unending patience and respect by John, Anne Marie and Nick. The delivery of the chair was completed exactly as arranged. I can highly recommend Independent Mobility.

My mobility buggy broke down. I contacted Independent Mobility to ask if they could help. They were very helpful and arranged to collect the buggy. A repair was carried out and the buggy serviced. The buggy was returned to me fully repaired and in good order.

I would like to say I was very impressed by the way my motability scooter was serviced by Dave he did a thorough job explaining every thing which had been done.I I most impressed by independent motability for there service they provide such as Carl and everyone else well done to you all

I contacted Independent Mobility having been let down by the company from whom I had purchased my riser/recliner chair 4 years ago. It was still under warranty and the electrics weren't functioning properly. However the company had gone into liquidation and the company who had "undertaken to complete their orders and deliveries" couldn't (or wouldn't?) honour the warranty as I hadn't purchased it from them. Independent Mobility were wonderful, no problem with sending out an engineer the next working day and all was resolved. Both Dave, the engineer, and Laura, on the telephone were both so kind and helpful that I can't praise Independent enough for their help and efficiency even though I hadn't purchased the chair from them.

I want to recommend Nick at Hornsea branch he’s was brilliant he went above and beyond to sort me out
This is my third purchase the last being a recliner chair the whole process went very smoothly my chair was delivered today by two gentleman they were professional and polite
I love my new chair and would definitely recommend the company and my local shop in Hornsea so pop in and see Nick he’s happy to advise you but not feel pressured to buy

Phoned Grimsby store about a friends recently purchased electric wheelchair. Helpful response, even though it had been bought online. I could video call to show the problem, or deliver the chair that day. We attended the store an hour later.Excellent service. The battery charger was checked as the battery was flat. My 85 year old partly sighted friend was given a demonstration on battery charging . We waited until he could have a lesson on using the joystick control.Twenty minutes later we left. No charge. Brilliant service. We will return when the chair is due a service.

Highly recommend Independent Mobility in Grimsby. Philip introduced himself and explained all about the scooters then left us to have a look without hovering over us and no pressure to buy, but he was able to answer any questions I had. I were able to test drive the scooter I had chosen. When I had purchased my scooter it was delivered that day free of charge by Mike who was equally as helpful and pleasant as Philip. it was a pleasant experience. Definitely a 5 star. Thankyou

I wanted a new Riser recliner chair for my elderly disabled Father. I rang Independent Mobility Beverley and spoke to Shauna who was extremely helpful and was able to arrange a home visit the following day. Mike & Pete came with two chairs for him to try. Both Mike & Pete were fantastic, professional, friendly and respectful. We ended up buying both chairs and they took 2 old chairs away with them. Brilliant service from start to finish.

I bought an electric mobility scooter from the Beverley shop, and the service was excellent. I took it to the South of France for a week and it was a liberating experience. The airline treated the scooter poorly so it wouldn’t open when we got to Nice. But some elbow grease got it open. The same happened on the flight home. We took the scooter back to Independent Mobility in Beverley, where Shaunna , who had sold us the scooter originally, and she diagnosed the problem, got her toolkit out, and repaired the damage. No charge. She really is a credit to your company. The whole experience has been excellent. Thank you Shauna.

Independent mobility Beverley store is wonderful, Shauna helped me find the right scooter to take on coach trips. She was patient and kind. I didn’t feel pushed into buying something.

Problems from the start, my brother who was recovering from a RTA that had left him as a Tetraplegic had been moved to a nursing home in Scunthorpe. His accident also impaired his memory and he requires assistance when making important decisions as a result.
He was visited by a rep from Independent Mobilty from Hull, who sold him a chair that wasn't suited to his needs and that was no longer in production stating they could still maintain it? They stated they had told him the chair was no longer in production but he cannot recall this information being shared at the time and as no other support was offered it makes it very difficult to prove this one way or another. Turns out they couldn't even replace the foot plates after they had become bent; they did however take the chair away, tried to straighten the bent parts before claiming they had replaced the parts with new ones, obviously my brother got no receipts or anything to support the repair or the subsequent claim that was made through the insurance...
After less than a year the same rep arrived because my brother had complained about the overall service and lack of support and this visit resulted in him agreeing to purchase an even more unsuitable chair that was in fact dangerous for someone with his injuries, being new to the world of disability he and we were completely unaware of this but again he was not offered any support prior to making a decision; and this new chair was the primary cause of a serious pressure sore he previously had never had; subsequently after a visit from an NHS professional he was immediately removed from that chair! As if this wasn't bad enough the part exchange price agreed was not honoured and we have receipts showing 2 very different financial accounts; when we queried this they denied knowledge of any reps ever having worked for them regardless of his name; they were clearly aware of both purchases and the rep responsible for the sales yet still insisted on being obstructive and unhelpful.
He asked this company to return the chair for a refund but they refused, stating they do not do refunds but would sell the chair on his behalf which they collected several weeks ago.
Surprisingly enough he hasn't seen a penny back and has had no contact from anyone at the company, not even a courtesy call to update him!
My brother was new to his injuries, was adjusting to life with disability and happened across this company who not only took advantage of him once but twice! Disgusting, stay away at all costs!
Unfortunately, we are not in a financial position to take legal action to address this issue otherwise we would.

I was received and welcomed by Susan. She spent time and patience explaining the product and answering any queries from myself.I am very satisfied with all aspects of the company and will return for any ongoing services etc.
