The worst been waiting 4 hours to talk to someone. Drop this company as an active provider. The actual worst I have screenshots of the “urgent care”

Reps lack industry experience
Only a few times I got someone at Included Health who knew what they were doing. Those were fantastic and helpful interactions. However most of the time, the customer service reps do not have much ‘health industry knowledge’. My last experience, I was seeking help locating an in-network imaging facility for a dexa scan. The gal emailed me information for 3 doctors who all worked at the same imaging center, one that did not provide dexa scans. Most of the time, I get off the phone with no answers. I end up calling providers myself and getting the information I need in 5-minutes versus the endless (…"it will be from 3-5 minutes for me to research this…”). Unfortunately Calpers chose to work with Included health and the insurance companies they work will not talk to Calpers members, you have to go through Included Health. Although all reps are extremely polite and try to be professional, I find Included Health mostly useless unless you get one of the more experienced reps!
You Should Be Ashamed!
I think it's really low that when people need it most, you decide to opt out of using Medicare Part B for people that have behavioral and mental health issues and really need to talk to a therapist. I can understand if they have no choice to not be able to accept Medicare Part B for medical issues, but behavior and mental health are permanently approved through Medicare Part B. I've checked and double checked my facts as well as spoke with Medicare on a couple of occasions. I've been seeing a therapist on your site for many years and no longer can thanks to your selfishness. I will not be leaving a positive review on any of the sites that I can leave a review. Shame on you! Quit putting profits over people!
Don't waste your time or your copay.
Don't waste your time or your copay.
I've just spent the last week chasing down an order for imaging after speaking with a provider last week. It took numerous long phone calls and being placed on hold while agents talked to another department, being asked the same questions about the facility it needed to be sent to, frustrating waits while new agents reviewed what was going on, questions that made absolutely no sense...As a provider myself, I cannot tell you how disappointed I am in this service and how much time this company wasted of my life in the last week. I've been awake since early this morning after just a few hours of sleep trying to track down the imaging order because my appointment is now this morning. Even when they finally agreed to send it, they claimed to the agent on the phone that they had to wait for "the phones to open". It's a FAX MACHINE that is in operation 24/7. Nobody actually wants to get anything done, they just come up with excuses for why they can't do a simple task and then pass it on to the next person, forcing patients to restart. This is stress that did not need to happen had I not made the mistake of thinking this company was legitimate; my health insurance actually advertises using them! I'm never going to get back hours of wasted time and I've had days of stress at the hands of these people. That's not healthcare.
A Company that Provides Zero Value
Worthless. This company is supposedly a liaison between patients and the insurer. They provide zero value beyond directing patients to their website. If you need a referral to a specialist, be prepared to wait upwards of a week. Do you want to check and see if a provider is in-network? Well, get ready to be told that you “might be” in network, or, maybe not. According to Included Health, it’s just too difficult to figure out. This faceless, black box of a company provides zero value to patients. You would do better contacting your insurer directly.
Includedhealth is not inclusive
Includedhealth apparently isn’t very inclusive when it comes to what insurances they accept! According to a IH customer service rep, IH bought out Dr on Demand & decided it would be a smart idea to no longer accept UHC Medicare Advantage plans or Cigna Health Care plans! If I chose to follow through with a virtual visit, I’d have to pay $99 out of pocket! I guess if a company wants to shoot itself in the foot and commit corporate suicide, that’s their prerogative! I’ve never known a health care organization to not accept UHC Medicare Advantage or Cigna! They must not want to be in business very long and given their low rating on this site, I’m sure they’re not long for the business graveyard! Dr on Demand was a great service that has unfortunately been ruined by a knucklehead company that doesn’t know what they’re doing!
Proof the American Health Care System is the way it is
They should teach classes on this to healthcare students in Europe just to give them an idea of the hell that we go through over here. 3 weeks looking for a primary care doctor looking for a psychiatrist luckily my mother found the psychiatrist before anybody else at this quote "company" did it's day after day of the same old we're looking, we're looking, we're looking. Read the reviews on Reddit. They are HORRENDOUS. Their HR department does quite well at hiring young southern courteous employees to get on the phone with you at first then ensure you everything is fine everything will be found and you're going to be taken care of.... WHICH COULDNT BE A BIGGER LIE IF THEY TOLD IT TO MY FACE. So far, we had one doctor visits setup, than hours before he straight up vanishes off the network. So we book another who and again I quote "can't hear you? Turn your mic on?" (At this point my mic was working perfectly) he gave me maybe another 15 seconds before closing the meeting entirely and charging me. These pond scum feeding fish, paid on commission, to keep customers in their line of "care"..... (care hahahaha had to laughter at that one)
My advice save up the $1600 for a round trip Mexico, Thailand, or Indonesia where you will certainly get better care.
Best of luck on your health journey.
I unfortunately had a couple issues…
I unfortunately had a couple issues this week when I scheduled 1 visit and we could not hook in together and then it happened a 2nd time today. It was frustrating so I ended up calling Support. First, someone immediately answered which surprised me because usually there is a long wait. Andrew, tech support, spend so much time helping me and was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and very very patient with me. He definitely did a great job ensuring I was able to do what I needed and put in for a refund since there was some glitch which is why I could not hook up for my 2 visits, which I was there on the calls, waiting! Again, this kind of patience and knowledgeable help is so rare and I hope Andrew will be commended for such amazing service.
Be aware that they charge you for your…
Be aware that they charge you for your appointment on the day of service instead of submitting it to your insurance company first. My credit card was charged the full cost for two Doctor on Demand virtual visits instead of the "agreed upon" price they have contracted with my insurance company. I have been trying to get a refund for months now and get nowhere every time I call. Stay away - they're awful.
No clue how they are not bust yet
If there was an option to get a star from them I’d take it for the mental health drilling they cause me every time I use them. They have absolutely no idea what they are doing. Total scam.
Oh hell do not use
Oh hell do not use! They list countless illnesses they can assist you with, yet denied me a script for a UTI! Then charged me $99.
The woman spent less than two minutes AND was rude as can be.I was denied and a vague reason given and battling with them still.
I would saw my arm off than use them again. Useless. I WILL not let this go.
I found them to be pretty useless
I found them to be pretty useless. My claims were getting denied for 3 months for a therapy that I confirmed was covered by my insurance and they were not doing anything to help. Every person that I got assigned will work on it for a bit, say it takes 7-10 business days, then nothing would happen. Then I go through the same process again. It has been an incredible waste of my time and honestly it added so much to my stress.
Avoid at all costs
Dealing with this team is a complete waste of time. After hours of waiting, all you get is invalid or utterly useless information. I've been trying to work with them since 2018, and not once have I had a productive interaction. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this company entirely. They thrive on creating confusion, spreading misinformation, and their attitude is downright snarky.
The "advocates" for Included Health…
The "advocates" for Included Health have been absolutely useless. Dealing with Included Health has been extremely frustrating and stressful. They do NOTHING! You ask one question, and they answer a question you did not ask and then close the chat. Pathetic.
Not worth it as an insurance vendor
Our company used Included Health as a "concierge" service. When I used them to help locate a medical provider, the "best" option was going through a community medical clinic. I'm not a snob, but community health clinics are overburdened and I have insurance, so I should not overburden them further. I went through their list of providers and had to cross check that the provider was accepting new patients. I researched over 30 providers before finding one that was taking new patients, contrary to what was on their website. I set up the appointment through a patient portal, only to be informed they don't accept my insurance and would have to be private pay. Weird, because Included Health said they were in network. I call Included Health, received misinformation about my group number, only to have it backtracked. The person I spoke to had to call the insurance carrier directly to see if the provider was in network. I'm told, they are in network, but will show as out of network, but to convince the doctor's office to bill my insurance anyway and not charge me as a private pay. No doctor's office will ever do this. I had to cancel the doctor's appointment and try to find another provider who most likely has another 3 month wait.
Terrible company
Terrible company. The worst customer service. They are supposed to help you with insurance claims but they are absolutely untrained and unknowable about that. When you open a claim with them, nobody follows up. The so called “claims specialists” are clueless and leave all issues open for months and don’t follow up to resolve it. When I call to escalate the issues because nobody helps me, they say that someone will call me but nobody does.
The worst part is that because Included Health are contracted with my employe to help with insurance claims, my insurance would not speak to me directly.
Thousands of dollars of claims are left unresolved and I have to pay for all that.
This company needs to be closed. They are an absolute scam!
Waste of time and money
Waste of time and money. The first visit was with a Nurse Practitioner and she prescribed a long-term medication. Forwver prescriptions are a money racket and if you’re prescribed these a full evaluation is needed, not a simple 10 min appt. 2nd appt was with an MD which I received zero medical but was still charged $229. If you’re going to charge at least offer some type of care, referral, or treatment plan. Go see your Dr in-person, this quality of care from this service is sketchy at best.
No-show doctors, buggy web application, slow support
I scheduled a virtual appointment with one of their providers, waited an hour for a 15-minute appointment, and the doctor never showed. There is no support for directly messaging a provider, for determining if they're running late and by how much, nor any recourse if the doctor simply doesn't show. After waiting on the line for customer service, they said they had no information for me but graciously agreed not to charge me for a missed appointment.
Furthermore, even setting up my account was a struggle. After trying twice, I called technical support (waited on line for an hour), and they had to manually create my account.
Avoid at all cost!
Absolutely useless, incompetent, and blocking access to care. The portal does not allow for online submission of claims and I was told that I have to submit all claims on paper and ship it. The portal also does not show how much deductible has been met. It is as untransparent as it gets. Class lawsuit in waiting for sure. Quite unbelievable that something like this would be allowed to exist.
Cant talk to anyone…
I have tried calling and don't get through to anyone, I've tried chatting and they don't respond.
this is the most incompetent useless…
this is the most incompetent useless company i have ever encountered and that is saying a lot. they resolve absolutely nothing. we went from fantastic service dealing directly with cigna to beyond terrible. i hope they go out of business soon.
