I had a problem with the system that was fitted as the steering wheel controls weren’t working as intended and calls were going through the old system. This was fitted by a professional sound system installer who said they had attached everything correctly as they have done this many times.

So I reached out to the customer service team who said to get in touch with the technical team. Well I have had one initial reply to my first email and no response from my 4 other chaser emails. Very disappointing and frustrating as the system is not working properly!

I think they realise they’ve made a mistake in recommending these parts and don’t want to take ownership, if I don’t receive a response now I will be charging back for the parts purchased.

I had one of their Fiat Ducato high-brake light reversing cameras on my motorhome. It failed after two and a half years. They were totally unsympathetic. I wasn't expecting a replacement even though things like this really should have a much longer life. I'm a retailer of photographic equipment and if one of my customers had a camera fail after this period I have let him have another one at a substantial reduction. The camera was bought from one of their retailers as they wholesale these but I thought that going to the importer who buy them cheapest of all would be the best thing.

I then spoke to the retailer who couldn't have been more accommodating and he supplied another one at his trade price. Dreadful service from Incartec. They weren't interested in budging by the tiniest amount.

Don’t turn up to the unit for advice unless your booked in as the sign on the door says closed but they are open so went in and the sales person was away so none of the other staff could help. I emailed a few times previously but got nothing back. I feel they are only interested in online sales only. I wanted to buy and get fitted a full system but will look elsewhere.

Brilliant company had brought a fitting kit for a new head unit for my Kia from another company which didn’t work and then was told that there wasn’t another kit available so It wouldn’t be able to change my head unit without a major re wiring so reached out to incar who sorted a kit out for me ordered by 14.30 on Wednesday got 9.25 the next day on Thursday I got stuck on a bit of the wiring sent an email got back to me nearly straight away can’t fault them will use again when I fit new head unit in my wife’s Honda jazz

Wanted to fit an aftermarket head unit to my car. I purchased parts as advised by them. This included two parts that had the same connector to mate with the car loom - an impossibility! I never got the aftermarket unit to work in the car.
They did respond to my contacting them (email) but it seemed very hit and miss, as if they did not know exactly how to get an aftermarket unit to work in my car.
Have received some refund on parts I returned

ordered a radio harness which did not work. double check that it would fit my car. wrote several emails to them that it must be broken, but never heard anything from them. It has been a year and now I receive´s invoice for freight and customs. NEVER ORDER FROM InCarTec!!!!!!!!

Ordered an adapter lead from their site to replace a set of speakers in my W177 Mercedes. Removed my car door card and found that the item isn't actually compatible, even though the description clearly stated that it was.

Dispatched an email on the 18th of July, but I still haven't heard back.

Super responsive, and happy to answer all questions and provide documentation on install process, all prior to any purchase. The best help I've received in a search for a new car head unit. Excellent.

The car head unit was labelled as apple car play, was supposed to be plug and play.

Firstly, it arrived in a normal box outside its packaging which looks to mean it was someone’s return or a cheap knock off. It was not plug and play. The sound was abysmal. It was in Chinese. It did not connect to the car the way it was supposed to for the car steering controllers. It was above cost for the unit and the site had good reviews here, don’t believe them.

Very helpful when choosing the right parts, superfast delivery and well priced. I am very pleased with their service.

Great company and very high quality goods. My Sony head unit went in the Porsche Boxster with no problems and was plug and play. 100% down to the quality of the parts supplied, they had thought of everything. Back up was superb and they answered all my questions quickly and professionally.

I bought a steering wheel control adapter for a pioneer DMH-A240BT Head unit installed in my facelift Freelander 1. This was an InCarTec item sold through a 3rd party, Dynamic Sounds.

The item did not work when installed, and working with Dynamic Sounds and InCarTec, a firmware upgrade to the head unit was recommended.

The issue from there is that no-one will provide the upgrade software to me as a user, and InCarTec refuse to supply it (I am still working with Dynamic Sounds and Halfords where I bought the head unit but both are unhelpful).

The reason for giving InCarTec a poor review is that they have not advertised this adapter as needing a specific firmware version, and whilst helpful in identifying the problem, they won't take responsibility for the lack of information (I would not have purchased the adapter if I had known this), and their best and most laughable suggestion was to buy another head unit from them!).

Given they are a technical company producing quite a technical product, being clear on what is needed for installation might help.

Beware if you are purchasing equipment made by them that you are aware of all the little issues that might not be resolvable meaning you have wasted your money.

Just to end this review, I spoke with Pioneer Technical support direct on the phone, and although they do have concerns about users upgrading their own firmware, they will provide it direct at the users own risk. This is contrary to what InCarTec told me when they declined to help.

I had a good discussion with Pioneer Technical support who emailed me the appropriate files and instructions to upgrade the firmware and now all works fine. As mentioned, the whole experience could have been avoided if the manafacturer had explicitly stated in the product details that a specific firmware version was needed.

Update following InCarTec response to this review 26/10/2022: Having read InCarTec's reply (below) it seems that they have not read my review correctly. It clearly states 'they have not advertised this adapter as needing a specific firmware version'. Many possible purchasers without a technical background might have purchased such an adapter and had great difficulty in successfully getting it working given that it does not work with many versions of the head unit firmware.

I am of the firm belief that a manafacturer such as InCarTec should be absolutely clear to customers and third party vendors of the constraints and considerations of installing their products. Although they did advise on the correct firmware version (but only after I had followed up with Dynamic Sounds and they had pointed me towards this issue and tried to resolve it by providing a later version of the firmware which partially fixed the issue) the information was not available to me at the point of choosing this adapter and as such, it could be construed that I was misled into believing it would work correctly by simply following the installation instructions.

Whichever way InCarTec spins this, the simple point is that they should advise customers of the headunit firmware version required for the adapter to work properly.
