Do not buy from them

Do not buy from them! I first reached out in December with an issue. It is now March and they have not responded!

I had an issue with a brand new USB hub I purchased from them. Support Ticket #259042
* I first reached out (via email) to Hyper on December 21, 2021 to get help.
* On Dec 22nd I was asked what device I'm using and I answered the same day. This was the only response I was ever given.
* On Dec 27th I had received no response and emailed again
* On Jan 3 there was still no response and emailed again
* On Jan 10, I emailed again with no response
* On Jan 18, i called them. The person told me they were backed up, but assured me I would be getting a response later that day
* It is now March 16 and have heard NOTHING!

Bought a USB C hub that was advertised…

Bought a USB C hub that was advertised to be able to output 2 external monitors for the M1 MacBook Pro.

Now it is well known that the M1 MBP can only output 1 external monitor. So when I saw this product I had to try it.

After it arrived I tested it out. It did output 2 external monitors, but one of them has really bad colour. Everything looks purplish and text looks glitchy, basically unusable for work.

Wrote in to their customer service. They took a few weeks to reply and it shows that they did not even BOTHER to read my message.

Their reply was"did you update to latest firmware for computer and the USB hub?'

So in my first message to them I have attached a screenshot literally showing I'm running latest Big Sur.

Here comes the best part.. THERE ISNT EVEN ANY FIRMWARE UPDATES AVAILABLE ON THEIR WEBSITE! (They acknowledged this in a later reply)

So if you like to spend money and have people treat you like a fool.. Hypershop is the place to go!

edit: hypershop has replied below. my case number is #255749.. let's see if they really follow up with what they say.. the review will remain 1 star and only be updated after things have been rectified

edit 2: customer service followed up with a much better representative. however no replacement sent as they offered to push out an update by 25th Feb. Will keep updating this review!

My device stopped working within the year and customer service is ghosting me.

I purchased a USB Hub from them back in January of 2021. A month ago, the ports for the USB randomly started working. I reached out to support almost a month ago, and was pleased with how responsive the rep was at the time. Now, almost a month later, I have had no luck reaching anybody from support via telephone or email to get a status of my case. I have tried opening new message chains and even those are marked as "resolved" immediately without even ever getting a response. Do not use this company. It honestly seems like a scam at this point.
I have been unable to work due to this device malfunction and being within my year warranty period I expected way better help than what I'm receiving.

Steer clear away from this garbage company

Bought two chargers through their Kickstarter, was months late due to continuous random excuses.
The chargers are garbage as you cannot leave your devices on as the chargers "restarts" every time a device is taking up less power when full so at that point all devices connected will restart charging as well resulting in a little concert of notification sounds and vibrations.
One of the 100W sockets on the chargers broke as well and apparently they're only giving you 1 year warranty instead of the usual 2 year one, probably due to knowing how crap their products are so I was refused a replacement and instead was given a 15% discount towards buying a replacement which I will obviously not use after this. Of course I had to be okay with them being months late delivering my product, but when it comes to them doing the same it's out of the question! What a joke

Not worth the money. Buy Lention.

I find that their products are very mediocre, it seems like a lot of American companies these days just bulk buy products from AliExpress, rebrand them and resale them for triple the amount. My hyperdrive for the iPad Pro stopped working, I emailed customer service with my proof of purchase and an image that clearly shows the Blue LED light was not working. Tried multiple times, the person I spoke to asked me to send them their product back but I’d already Thrown away the defect product out of frustration (my fault obv). But all she gave in return was a measly “15%” off which is nothing. Do not waste your time and money on this company.

DO NOT buy anything from this company. Their sales support person is extremely rude and kept recommending hubs that didn't provide all the ones I needed. They don't even know their own product. I finally asked what plugs into their HDMI port (which devices since she indicated it won't work for monitors!). She told me to google it!! So she wanted me to google her own product!! THEN SHE HUNG UP ON ME.

They are very rude and don't support their own products. Buy something from a more well established company.

Best USB-C Hubs for your MacBook!

I've bought several products (USB-C hubs & battery packs) for my friends and family over their holiday sale, and everyone loves them! With our current work from home situation, these are a WFH essential. I bought the new DUO 7-in-2 hub for myself and it's super efficient. Unlike other hubs in the market, this one has a magnetic grip so there's a secure hold, and it comes with a USB-C cable so I can use it with my iPad if I’m not on my MacBook. The 4K 60Hz HDMI is crystal clear and the 100W USB-C PD works like a charm. 10/10 would recommend.

Expensive and poor quality but even worse customer service

Update 8 Feb: the ticket number was #239155but to be honest I am not exactly sure how working from home creates longer wait times if you have the same number of team members - additionally the issue isn’t really the delayed response, it’s the attitude, lack of response, and lack of loyalty

I’ve been purchasing products from them for something like 10 years now as well as supported 6 of their Kickstarter campaigns and I have to say that I will never buy from or support them again after the experience I have had.

Their products are definitely not the premium quality they claim, certainly not worth the high cost when compared to their competitors. I have had a number break or fail which then leads to the absolute worst part of the company - their “Customer Support” is without a doubt the worst imaginable - very slow to respond and when they clearly are not interested in helping, demonstrate absolutely no loyalty or respect for customers. They basically take a “never mind, how sad” approach and encourage you to buy something else.

My most recent experience was when one of their chargers died when I plugged it in with a loud “pop” accompanied by that burning electrical smell and when I eventually heard back from them they said there was nothing they could do but here’s a generic discount code we offer all customers go buy something else. When I replied to explain that that wasn’t that great they[ ignored the email and when I chased they basically repeated the “never mind” response.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS - BUY CHEAPER FROM ANKER OR SIMILAR AND YOU WON’T BE DISAPPOINTED

Backed one of their Kickstarter campaigns in December.
It's COVID with all that stuff ok, but they told me more than 4 months ago (something in June) that orders were being shipped.
Still haven't received anything, support plays hide and seek and doesn't reply at all.

Do not buy their products

Crap products, do not buy they have no quality control at all. I have read and experienced more problems with there hubs than any other. One of their hubs actually destroyed one of my customers iPads. Thankfully I didn’t recommend it. If you do want a good hub go look at Anker, I have been using there hub now for months with no issues. Hypershop also filters out negative reviews for their products. So if you left a review that had less than 4 stars it will never be seen by the public.

Terrible customer support

Terrible After Sales. They only write back as long as there are no real problems to solve. I was told I'd get a free cable with my charger, but it wasn't shipped. Afterwards I sent an email to follow up and there was no response. Two further emails were sent and it was clear that I was being ignored.

They truly don't spend any efforts on customers who have already paid. I would suggest to go with a more established firm, like Anker, who aren't just looking for a quick buck and actually care about retaining customers.

PLEASE AVOID FOR YOUR OWN SANITY!

Very bad communication from Hyper team…

Very bad communication from Hyper team with very little assurance and resolution when problems exist.

I ordered a charger from Indiegogo on January and still yet to receive my order at the time of writing. The Hyper team and Joseph Inocencio are not very accommodating with shipping updates and solutions to the shipping problem after a long period of delayed production and shipment (4-5 months). Their solution to the problem was always "we will ship the product in a few weeks" or "if the perk does not arrive after 8 weeks, please contact us." For the record, my order has been almost 8 weeks on the shipment.

I purchased a USB-C Charger months ago

I purchased a USB-C Charger months ago, it was finally shipped during lock down and there was no way to contact the courier and hyper refused to assist. Apparently once in transit there is nothing they can do! So I Waited and the courier never showed even though I had someone attend the office for the day to receive. Then the uncontactable courier message to say they would not make it! Then I get a message that they where returning the package to send! I’ve emailed hyper many times and not once have they offered to assist. Terrible customer service very disappointed...

Appalling ethics and faulty products

Appalling ethics and faulty products

It is over 3 months since I returned a faulty USB-C dock to the company and I have not been sent a replacement. I have sent between 15-30 messages to their "support" team who have been incredibly unhelpful and are essentially lying to they customers.

The last 3 messages I have sent have simply been ignored. I have paid $50 for a broken product, paid to send it back to them and have to hound them for months to get a reply. They refused to issue a refund and seem unwilling to send a replacement.

Their website likes to claim that they are the "most crowdfunded" devices, but I recommend that you look at the comments on their Kickstarter campaigns. Literally hundreds of unhappy customers who have been screwed over by this fake company.

Don't believe the hype about their products. They don't work as stated and you'll be left out of pocket as they ignore customers who have issues. Avoid this company!
