We are first time hosts, this site being recommended to us by a colleague. I found the Hosting site extremely easy to use and welcomed the opportunity to not only describe the accommodation but also to upload photographs. The fact that potential guests are required to demonstrate financial viability was re-assuring.
Our second guest submission was exactly what we were looking for and arrived within 48 hours of 'going live'.
Follow up emails during the registration process and guest acceptance was very useful and demonstrates the professionalism of Hosting-Power.

I would highly recommend hosting power if you have a room for rent. They are very professional and fo all the back round checks, they also have a list of house rules for your guest to follow which makes it very easy when renting the room, I have been very satisfied with hosting power.

Absolutely disgusting service; notice how most of the 5-star reviews are from hosts and not from guests. They put around EUR 460 on hold as a service fee after booking a room that fits your needs and requirements, and then tell you to book up to 20 more rooms. They only tell you this AFTER you have booked your preferred room. After complying and booking another room as a backup, the next day I was declined for both rooms without an explanation. That day, I booked around 7 more rooms in total and was declined the next day again. This is extremely frustrating, as a student who had to collect money for the service fee, had to delay my flight because of this terrible service, and was left with no accommodation in the end. They have no contact number to help customers and have to resort to emailing them, which takes a day for a reply.

What makes it even worse is that they give you the option to book an 'Immediate Booking' where hosts supposedly look at your profile and want to offer their room, but these are noticeably further away from the city, much smaller, and more expensive. It's ridiculous having to resort to a worse option just because hosts do not want to respond or their room is no longer available, which, in that case, should remove the listing from the website.

Extremely frustrating experience, and I am only lucky that I could get the service fee cancelled, I recommend reading the other lower star reviews as some people have said to have gotten scammed out of EUR 450, some left without accomodation and having to sleep on the street, and with horrible hosts.

A guest cancelled on me and a short time later hosting power had another guest for me, I like that the guest are checked out before hand as it feels safer, my only criticism on this is that the writing is very small and gray with a white background makes it hard to read

We are only doing it a couple of days so far, but we have found the experience and the setup a joy to use, we would wholely recommend the service to anyone, guests are excellent and after a while they feel like part of your family, I would not hesitate for anyone to use Hosting Power, also a great support service for your queries. 5 Stars all the way.
