Parking was difficult as only 5 spaces…
Parking was difficult as only 5 spaces on street for approximately 20 residential properties. TV had no way of connecting it to aerial, dish or cable providers. (only a mains cable). Inadequate lighting in living area. Using toaster resulted in tripping main fuse in fuse box. Poor or no information provided in the property information folder. Kitchen bins full on arrival. Council recycling bags missing (pink and green).

Really good location and very impressive flat. But a few fine details missing - lack of cutlery/oven glove/ misleading instructions on use of key fob/ passcode for outside gate wrong
Low kiln bank
The property is in a great location its very quiet and just a 10 minute walk to the beach, the walk is through country paths so proper walking shoes are a must, especially if its been raining.
The property was fairly clean but there was a lot of huge cobwebs on the roof windows and on the floor near the coffee table window.
We weren't very happy that we had driven for 7 hours and we had 1/4 of a toilet roll left for us, we had to travel to the nearest shop which was a 10 min drive away, I'm sure it wouldn't break the bank to leave a few toilet rolls for guests.
We also found the bins and recycling complicated, there is a wheeled bin outside but you are told to leave your rubbish at the side of the gate just in the bin bags, this meant we had to rummage through the wheeled bin and take out all the bags of rubbish and dog waste to leave on the side of the road, it should be noted for guests to not use the wheeled bin and if you do you wont be able to put this out for the binman
We also weren't left any bin bags so we had to go and buy these, if you require guests to use binbags and to not use the wheeled bin outside, then bin bags should be supplied.
The garden is not 100% dog friendly due to the garden not being fenced off all the way round, there is glass edging around part of the garden but this could be worth having all the way round to prevent any excited dogs from jumping off.
The sea view is limited due to the overgrown bushes, if you go to to the far corner of the garden you can catch a glimpse. You can hear the sea but its a shame its not as visible as it could be.
We did have a lovely time and I do recommend this property, one of my friends has already asked where the property is as he would like to stay, just a few minor adjustments like supplying the toilet roll and bin bags, and trimming the bush would be a great help.

Totally unprofessional attitude
We are a family of 4, myself and wife and 2 children. I have been a client with homefromhome to do holidays over the past few years. I rented a 2 bedroom flat this year in Trawler road overlooking the marina for a month. Despite the flat has excellent location ,we had serious issues this time:
1- The level of cleanliness this time was substandard
2- The mattress in one if the beds was totally worn out as if sleeping on metal wires
3- This is our main complaint regarding the electric heater in the shower …It was beat working in the first 3 weeks and the became totally faulty in the beginning of our last week.. I contacted the office on a Sunday to report that we have no hot water at all in the shower, and here the tragedy begins!!!…. They firstly said that they contacted the maintenance guy and that he cannot come Sunday due to road closures and promised to come Monday. We waited and nobody came and contacted them again and again and in the evening they said that the guy came and nobody was at the property???!!!!!!
This is a lie as we did not leave the property and because we already gave them permission to use the extra set of keys they hold to enter the flat and we gave permission to be contacted by phone any time !!!!!! But guess what ? The guy claims he came and could not access the flat so he just left without calling anyone and decided he will come Tuesday ???!!!!!!!…… I was shocked but tried to be diplomatic and agreed to resecheduel next day, Only to experience the same lie and frustration !!!… after several phone calls on Friday, they answered that the guy came and again kept knocking and can hear us inside the flat , he waited outside for 5 min and left ??? and he phoned them 1 hour ( after ) he left saying we missed the visit and wants to reschedule the next day ???!!!!!!!
This is again a lie as we did not leave the flat and nobody knocked at all !!!!!
He could have used the extra keys??? Or called me on my mobile or called the homefromhome office while he is by the door????? But he chose for the second time to leave and report to the office later that we missed his visit ?????
I am still waiting for feedback from the company and the issue has not been resolved and we are 3 days now without hot water in the shower since we reported it …. BIG DISSAPOINTMENT with the service

Glebe Farm gave us what we needed; a variety of walks from the front door, a relaxed and comfortable holiday home, good cooking and dining facilities, comfortable beds, space for all 7 of us to be together or in smaller groups, access to a beautiful beach.

With all that has gone on over the past 2 years I was very nervous before going but have to say the staff were brilliant at providing reassurance and communicating everything ahead of the stay. I was so please to hear how thorough the key collection, cleaning and property preparation process was in regards COVID and this was very welcoming. I can only apologise for talking up so much time of the staff with my worries and so many questions. Roll on our next family trip to Gower!

Mixed feelings...
We booked a lovely cottage in Wales; the booking process was straightforward and all okay. Lots of information prios to arrival. On arrival there was no heating; as there was no phone signal nor functioning WiFi we drove up the valley to contact the emergency team. It turned out that there had been problems with the heating the week before, so it is a bit frustrating that no one checked the heating was working before we arrived. Also cannot believe that the cleaners didn't realise that there was no hot water or heating.The emergency team did a good job of finding a replacement house and even offered to help us move. The second house was very nice, warm and comfortable, but not in the location we wanted, and we wasted a day of our holiday making phone calls and moving around. It could probably have been sorted out before we arrived by checking on a known problem. I have emailed the team about this, but no one has responded.

A wonderful find!
A wonderful find! The house was ideal for both us and our dog, very cosy and comfortable with everything you could need. Super comfy beds and plenty of space for us all. The location was fantastic, easy 5 minute walk to the shops and bars. Would thoroughly recommend

On entering the front door of the…
On entering the front door of the Bwthyn Bach you were enveloped with a feeling of peace and cosiness . Standard of hygiene was exceptionally high.Every amenity you needed was there .
A welcome pack was a very thoughtful and generous idea.The team gave daily ideas of places to see /visit ,which was really appreciated.Nothing was too much trouble for them .
We will definitely return and share our experience with others.

Sack your cleaners - filthy house
Firstly I was placed in the wrong property. 9 William Gammon Drive HH312. I booked over the phone with a company representative HH314 a few doors down, a modern house, with full Sky TV package, Shower in BOTH bathrooms, 40 inch TV, nespresso machine, wardrobes in both main bedrooms. We paid a premium rate then got placed in a completely different house a few doors down which was smaller, shabby, filthy and had NONE of the amenities we paid for. A small 20 inch TV with no packages, no nespresso machine, no shower in main bathroom and no wardrobe in two bedrooms. All things that were specific criteria for my guests and myself.
Secondly the place was filthy. The cleaners need the sack - the last 3 guest reviews all wrote how awful the cleanliness and smell was in the property's review book and complained about the cleaners but clearly nothing is being done. Despite being charged a full day's rental and not allowed in until 4pm because they were supposedly 'doing an enhanced covid clean' we arrived to dirty fridge and freezer drawers, chips and cereal particles wedged in the rug in the living room, cobwebs everywhere, thick scum in the bottom of a toothbrush holder, a dirty smear on a pillowcase, a clod of what looked like dried faeces on the edge of the shower door, mold all over the shower tiles, blood stains and other huge brown stains covered the sofa and sofa cushion - I have photos and videos to prove all of this. It was nauseating.
Thirdly the place itself was shabby and heaps of furniture broken. Dining room chair broken, outdoor sofa unusable with a massive hole in its seat, handles coming off cupboards, broken curtain pole it was a shambles and not worth the premium rate or even comparable to HH314 which we actually booked - definitely not worth the money we paid.
Lastly the customer service was appalling, very difficult to get through to anyone, then denials and delay tactics were employed until I burst into tears - it ruined our holiday. The cleaners were supposed to come back that day and do their 'deep covid clean' - we stayed out all day in the rain, then returned to a still filthy house and just the scum and one shower had been cleaned, nothing else. we had to put a spare sheet over the sofa, my skin was crawling.
I sent emails updating the property manager and made phone calls but just got fobbed off with 'their IT needed to look into whose fault it was' when I booked over the phone and spoke with 3 customer service reps who all assured me that HH314 was on hold for my booking.
After requesting compensation I was fobbed off for 5 weeks until I approached them again a bit more forcefully and demanded a partial refund for the inconvenience which I eventually got.
This doesn't make up for what we were put through. We were also put at risk of covid and our entire holiday was ruined.
Again - sack your cleaners. They have filthy lazy standards.

Fantastic break at The Edith this week, brilliant location, so quiet and peaceful, couldn’t really ask for a better equipped cottage, spacious and very clean, perfect for a dog too. Beds very comfortable and linen lovely.

Excellent location. Very clean well furnished property. Good kitchen appliances and equipment. Secure area at front for dogs. Lovely little balcony at the rear with 2 comfortable chairs. Thoroughly, enjoyed our stay. Property owner very helpful and very friendly. Will return.
