I found them online and booked my test. They attended quickly and when there was an issue they were quick to get it sorted for me. Would recommend!

Hexo Electrical Testing carried out an Electrical Installation inspection for me and provided the Electrical Installation Condition Report. They also replaced my old fuse box. I needed to move the original appointment to a later date, and they were very accommodating and flexible with the change. The engineer arrived on time, was polite and efficient, and did a great job. Really pleased with the service and happy to recommend them.

Booked a repair, engineer turned up without the right equipment. Paid £500 in advance for the work. 7 days later still cant get anyone to schedule an appointment at a convenient time for my tenant. I send emails but get no response. Chase by phone (4 phone calls so far and still no appointment for engineer to attend). People on the phone can’t help - they appear to be based in call centres all over the world. They refer my call promising someone will call me back. So far they haven’t. Let’s see whether I actually have an engineer come to carry out the repairs or whether I am going to fight to get my £500 back.

The work led by them was smooth and efficient. Worth their service.

I instructed them to carry out a pre-purchase EICR. As the property is vacant, keys would need be collected from the estates agent. According to the agens, nobody turned on the day and time claimed by Hexo that the inspection took place.
As a result I believe the testing was carried out at a neighbouring private in error. This was explained to the company which refused to acknowledge this.

A satisfactory EICR had been issued by another firm in March 2025. Hexo's report states the ele trial installation is 30 you, whereas the other Eicr dates it to 20 years.

During the booking process, there were Communication problems. They seemed to ignore or not see my written and clear instructions on where the keys should be collected from etc. Regrettable.

The booking was cancelled once then rescheduled.
The engineer came on time, did a great job and was tidy and friendly.

I think Hexo have stollen £600 from me for remedial works after DEIC fail. Works were done at the start of September 2025...since then - no news - and no pass certificate. I've emailed multiple times and called. But still no news. Writing here to see if Hexo will respond. Hexo were very fast at providing quotes but once they had my money...no news. Follow up totally unprofessional - very disappointing. I would not recommend.

I am writing to formally complain about the extremely poor and unprofessional service I have received from your company.

I was forced to call five separate times, during which I had to deal with a very rude representative. Despite having paid for the service, I have still not received what I was promised. This is unacceptable and deeply disappointing.

I expect an immediate resolution to this matter, including the service I paid for, and if not possible, a full refund. Please treat this issue with the seriousness it deserves.

I look forward to your prompt response.

Hexo completed our 3 yearly EICR test. It was done quickly and efficiently and overall a very good company to deal with. We will definitely use them again.

CHARGED ME THOUSANDS. WORK WAS FAULTY AND THEY HAVE DONE A BOTCHED MEND AND NOW WON'T PROVIDE THE EICR I PAID FOR AS THEY KNOW THEIR WORKS ARE NONE-COMPLIANT.
MY CALLS TO MAX ARE BEING IGNORED.

Amendment:
You did not fix the issue one of the circuits is out and you simply moved the lights onto another circuit within the unit. It is not acceptable that new kit is faulty. Your electrician on the day told you to issue a new EICR and you haven't nor have you permanently replaced the faulty unit within the RDC. You also charged me parking fees within your invoices when the road is a priavte road without the need for paid parking. Your overflow team have not blocked me - Hexo are simply not returning my calls and I have evidence of such. Trading standards will tend to this now.

Paid extra for Hexo’s “express” EICR (guaranteed in 48 hours). Inspection done Monday 2–3 p.m., but no report received by Wednesday. Made it clear it was time-sensitive. Called multiple times- no answers, no updates. Put on hold for 30 minutes to speak to a manager, then they hung up. Terrible service, zero accountability. Go elsewhere if you need reliability.

Since my last review, it’s now significantly more than 48 hours after my EICR inspection, and I am still waiting for the report I paid extra to receive within that timeframe. The “express” service I was promised is clearly meaningless.

There has been a complete vacuum of communication from Hexo Electrical Testing — no calls, no emails, no updates. I still have no idea when (or if) my report will arrive. I was repeatedly reassured it would be delivered within 48 hours, but this has proven to be an empty promise.

If I had known how unreliable and unprofessional this company is, I would have gone elsewhere. Absolute appalling service. Avoid at all costs!

When I eventually received my EICR 72 hours after the inspection (despite booking and paying for the express 48-hour service, and with no apology), the report gave an unsatisfactory outcome and recommended £1,282 of remedial work to achieve a pass.
I have since had an independent electrician carry out an EICR on the same property, which passed without any remedial work required. This casts very serious doubt on the accuracy and integrity of Hexo’s reporting. Combined with the delays and poor communication, I would strongly advise you to Avoid this company at all costs.
