Well, for starters, HelpMatch quite literally saved my practice from shutting down. This was a last-ditch effort (and what we felt a far cry) from getting SOMETHING to work in getting us new clients, and, thank God, it did. There is nuance to their system, it is not just a "here's a converted client" type of platform. What they've taught me about how to convert prospective clients into people sitting in from of me for intake sessions will serve our practice forever. I am so grateful we discovered HelpMatch.

This platform is genuinely trying to help people find the help they need. The team behind Help Match is the best of the best! They are so kind helpful and I am so grateful that Help Match exists.

Having been a therapist for 15 years I've been pitched quite a few gimmicky ways to get clients. I've used several marketing agencies throughout and mostly had a break-even or negative experience. Most of my colleagues and friends use networking and organic search to get leads. But that's really hard to get started when your competing against everyone else and an established practices....most went the dreaded insurance panel route just to make it work. HelpMatch.com is truly the solution as a fair price for a quality lead. You pay for what you get! I started to realize after signing up... HelpMatch business model is a literal partnership. It's a win-win kind of thing. You make money they do. You struggle with leads or conversions they help you. Their support team is excellent. If I need to get in touch with them-often their COO or CEO gets right back to me right away. Highly recommend!

My experience with HelpMatch has been great. I am getting a steady stream of leads and I have access to my account manager any time I run into a problem or have questions. I have paid for 3 batches of leads so far and all of my current clients have come from those. My business is growing so much quicker with their help. If you are looking to start your business or fill holes in your schedule, I do recommend using HelpMatch. Keep in mind that they provide leads and it is your job to convert them. It's a wonderful partnership opportunity.

Tried HelpMatch with quite a bit of hesitation, and I’m glad I did. They are the real deal, the referrals have been very high quality for us.

I already posted a review on Reddit (see r/therapists), and I'm posting this here for other therapists who may be considering HelpMatch.

I bought their introductory package: $1,000 for 11 leads. The pitch was that they would send qualified therapy referrals within my geographic area. During the sales conversation it was also suggested that if the leads didn’t convert, they would keep providing leads until I at least broke even. Over the course of two months, I received the 11 leads. Outcome: not a single client.

Here’s what those “qualified leads” actually looked like:
• Several prospects contacted me asking if I took insurance, even though my profile clearly states that I do not take insurance. When I complained, HelpMatch told me they do not filter leads based on insurance.
• Many leads never replied to emails.
• Some phone numbers were wrong numbers when I called.
• Several names and email addresses looked exactly like spam addresses.
• Some “matches” were not even in my requested geographic area (I received leads from places like Los Angeles and Sacramento).
• The few people who were real prospects either wanted insurance or said my fee was too high, meaning they were never viable referrals in the first place.

For context: I responded to leads within minutes or a couple hours depending on whether I was with a client. Early on I followed up multiple times. Later I stopped investing as much effort once it became obvious the leads were junk.

When I raised these issues with HelpMatch, they refused to acknowledge that any leads were invalid. Their response was that they had “checked the contact information and it was correct.”

Their solution? They offered three additional matches as a “good-faith gesture” — but only if I bought another lead pack. In other words: spend another thousand dollars and maybe we’ll send you three more questionable leads.

My conclusion: the leads were not meaningfully qualified, and the system appears to prioritize volume over quality. I essentially paid $1,000 for a list of random inquiries, many of which were non-responsive, misaligned, or possibly fake.

If you’re a therapist considering HelpMatch, I strongly recommend thinking twice before spending money on this kind of service. Lead-generation platforms in therapy already operate on thin margins of trust. My experience with HelpMatch did not inspire any.

This company saved my practice. I was a month away from hanging it up and joining a group, and by the grace of God, I reluctantly met with their team and made the leap to try their platform out. What I love: They care about my success and it shows. They aren't an agency. They don't take any part of your rate whatsoever, or even handle payments. I'm so glad they exist and I can't recommend them enough.

I signed up for HelpMatch as a psychologist looking for referral leads for my practice, and was blown away by the nature of this team. Not every lead has been an ideal fit for my practice and there are some who never even reply back (so weird), but the ones who do more than make up for it. HelpMatch connected me with a dentist when I had a chipped tooth and I couldn't have asked for a better match. Some of the questions felt a bit redundant with what the dentist asked me when I came in for my visit, but ultimately that's not a huge deal. I would just keep in mind that dentists will ask a lot of questions so some of it isn't needed on the side of HelpMatch. Overall, this really is a great service, I'm glad they exist and will recommend it to my friends and family.
