If I could have left no stars I would. DON’T BUY from them you’ll never get your money back. They will write back to every 5 or more days with no resolution. For me the shoes are rubber molds not real leather. I can’t return them now since they are not responsive to my emails for a return voucher. I didn’t read reviews ahead of time. Please be smart.

😖😖😖😖REALLY wish I had read your reviews before I purchased the Madison Vibrant Patchwork Bohemian Hoodie. Even with clearance (ha!) pricing, this was a total ripoff!! The photo leads you to believe it's made of cotton or a cotton blend with a quilt stitch. Received a 100% polyester printed fabric (no stitching). It came from China and is probably worth $20 MAX. Won't even try for a refund based on the reviews. Live and learn!

I first became award of Harper & Wells when I went on the internet and their clothing ads popped up. The clothes looked nice and so I ordered two pull over shirts and three dress shirts from them. My big mistake was not being aware of the negative reviews before I ordered the shirts. It took almost a month to receive the first part of my order. When I received the pull over shirts, they looked nothing like the ad. The were cheaply made and didn't look at all like something one would pay $40 for. The three dress shirts were even worse. I ordered the correct size for me, but the ones I received were far too small. I wear a 34-35" sleeve, the sleeves on these shirts were a good 4 inches too short. Attempting to return the shirts was even worse. First they offered me 30% refund, then a 40% refund if I ordered replacements through them. Finally, the only way they would give a full refund would be for me to return the shirts to China, where they were made, at a shipping cost of $30-$40 per item. What the heck?? Fortunately I had used my credit card to purchase the shirts. I immediately filed a dispute with my credit card company and ended up getting a full refund from Harper & Wells. I'm donating the shirts to GoodWill. Maybe someone can get some use out of them, but I can't wear any of them,.

Worst online company ever!!! Please don’t buy anything from them. I ordered a pair of shoes/slippers that were meant to have support as I am in my feet a lot. They were about $50 marked down from about $200. They were cheaply made and should have been about $12. I ordered a 7.5 and they sent me a pair marked 39 but in reality only a size 6.5. They wouldn’t take a return. I sent half a dozen emails with photos which they asked for and then they wanted $15 for an exchange only. It was an outrage how poorly they handled this.

I recently bought from this website i feel they are scammers - clothes was piece of junk i tried to return it and i cant return they want give me 20 pct of what i paid for i spent 300 i want my full money back like they advertised i wish i had been smart enough and had known about trustpilot

This company operates the same as Wilson & Carter London - same issues, poor quality and an inability to return items unless it’s tracked back to China (or discount as previous reviewer said) and the communication is with a bot., so it’s endless nonsense. Avoid this company and all versions of it at all costs.

If you were smart enough to research and find these reviews before ordering from Harper & Wells, then please run as fast as you can in the opposite direction from this SCAM company. I can't believe they get away with this. Every negative review on Trustpilot (all 30 of them at the time of this writing) are 100% accurate. The clothing arrives crammed into a plastic package, it's all very cheap and poorly finished, does not look at all like the photos. I ordered two pants/tops outfits, plus a blazer-style jacket. All of these (5 garments) were crammed into a plastic package, like the size of a plastic grocery sack if you can imagine it. I ordered two of the same item, one in Medium and one in Large, so I could decide which one fit better and then return the other. The two items were made of two different fabrics and even different SHADES of blue. Loose threads, thin, cheap, flimsy fabric. UGH. And they absolutely will not give you a full refund. They start off low-balling you, 20%, then 30%, I am at 40%. You have to keep emailing them. The alternative is to ship the items to CHINA at your own expense. And I'm betting that you will never see a refund if you do that. I've reported them to the BBB. Trust me, do not be tempted to order from them. They are not in Boston. Also the sizes are like Asian sizing...smaller than American sizing. I am so fed up with them. Notice there are no reviews ON their website...wish I had thought more about that when I was ordering and realized how fishy that was. Wish I had been smart enough to do my research. But YOU can be smarter than I was, and all these other reviewers on here that shared their horror stories of ordering from Harper & Wells.

I ordered what appeared to a darling top of high quality, but when it came, it was so small I could not put it over my head. The quality was a cheap polyester garment probably worth $15. They advertised it as originally as $350 reduced to $69.95. Their Easy Returns policy is anything but easy. They offered for me to keep the top and order another. I didn't want another, the quality was so poor. Then they offered a 30% refund. After a few back and forth emails they raised it to 45% or gave me the address in China to send it there myself. I'd highly recommend that you AVOID this vendor.

Despite claim on their advertising that they offer a 30-day money back guarnatee, they refused to offer return despite multiple requests and offered only the option to buy another low qaulity product or to accept a 15% refund.

This appears to be a scam clothing company. It did not reply to my email requests to return a product. I returned the package to the only address I could find on the order documentation. The post office said that there was no such address for the company

I would rate this company minus 10. The marketing is false in every way. The merchandise received was poorly made - barely sewn together seams and disproportioned!!! The “long sleeve” jackets did not reach my elbows and could not be buttoned, even though I ordered 2 sizes larger than I wear because I knew it was being imported
. I waited over a month,receiving e-mails constantly about the eminent arrival of the order. Even though return is guaranteed It is a scam. I have been given the run-around about needing to take several “good” photos of each item, including tags, even after already being told that no refund will be issued until a complete examination of returned items. Do not order from Harper and Wells Boston. This is probably just one name used by this organization of scammers !! I’d like to ad that the merchandise came through 1080 SE 5th St, Suite 300, Hialeah, Fl 33010 and is probably just shipping address for sweatshop owners in China. All the clothes were made tagged as “Made in China.

The merchandise that was delivered doesn't even remotely resemble the online photos or written description. They claim no hassle returns in the first 30 days but that is far from the truth. below is the email from their representative after I sent photos and asked for a refund. What a nightmare these people have been. They wanted to refund me $15 ( was $100 purchase) What a joke.

Nothing fits! Pants too short, sleeves too short, shoes offer no support whatsoever. But the worst part is that the returns are not easy as advertised. Even though clothes are not made in the US overall, but bought by the US thIS products this is an Asian compan using Asian sizes. Love Amazon!

Do not buy anything from this company.

The merchandise quality is poor.
It is virtually impossible to get a refund.

I wish I could give one star. I purchased shoes on July 4th and received them on July 16, 2026. First of all, the products are very cheaply made. I would be more furious if I had not paid the sale price. Second, returns are impossible to make without paying overseas shipping cost totaling the cost of your order. You are only made aware of this when you attempt to make a return. Third, I ordered shoes in a women’s size 8.5 and received shoes about two sizes larger.

I contacted the company, they sent a replacement order with the exact same incorrect size. Now, they are no longer answering my emails.

If there were clear transparency on the website about where the merchandise ships from and that the buyer pays for all future returns, I would have never placed an order! Their website clearly advertises “easy returns “. This is not true! Do not under any circumstances believe this!

Extremely difficult return process

I wish I had read the reviews before ordering.

I purchased a dress that looked beautiful on the Harper & Wells website. Unfortunately, the dress I received was significantly different from the photos and was much cheaper-looking than advertised.

What was most frustrating was the return process. I contacted customer service requesting a full refund and was repeatedly offered partial refunds — first 15%, then 20%, and eventually 30% — or store credit, rather than a straightforward refund.

After numerous emails and a great deal of back-and-forth, I was finally given a return address in China and told that I would have to pay the international return shipping myself. The shipping cost may be close to the price of the dress itself.

It has been exhausting trying to resolve what should have been a simple return. I have spent far too much time emailing back and forth just to try to get my money back.

I will never order from Harper & Wells again. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend reading the return policy carefully and understanding that returns may have to be shipped internationally at the customer's expense.

The items received are entirely different from what is advertised on your website—the fabric is cheap, plastic polyester, and the quality is completely unacceptable. Furthermore, claiming that returns are easy while insisting on low partial refunds or forcing customers to pay expensive shipping to return items to China is extremely deceptive, especially for a company marketed with a Boston connection.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SITE! I recently bought a dress that looked great and advertised as if it was coming from Boston. I then noted it was taking a long time, saw the shipping tracking was coming from Asia. The quality was terrible, badly finished and the advertising was completely deceptive. They have a fake storefront, misleading ads and won't honor their free30 day return offer. I had to call my CC company to dispute the charge since their customer service just offers you you 10% and keep the terrible product. PLEASE - Harper & Wells is a total scam w/deceptive business practices. Buyer Beware!
