🛑 Horrible
🛑 Review of Haritha Yogshala, Rishikesh — 14-Day Panchakarma
My experience turned out to be extremely disappointing. Below are all the issues I encountered, point by point.
⸻
1. ❌ Arrival & Logistics
• I was not picked up upon arrival, unlike other guests who were sent a taxi.
• I had to reach the center on my own, with heavy backpacks and multiple transfers.
• The location on the map is incorrect, and no one answered my calls. I had to walk around in the heat looking for the place — a very unpleasant start.
⸻
2. ❌ Doctor Consultation
• The doctor spoke poor English.
• He didn’t explain doshas, or how Panchakarma works.
• He insisted I get medical tests (for an extra charge), claiming I was ill — even though I said I felt healthy.
• In the end, the tests were normal and unnecessary. The doctor admitted he couldn’t do Ayurvedic diagnostics without lab reports.
⸻
3. ❌ Treatments & Scheduling
• Some procedures were mislabeled or mixed up, and I had to double-check and control my schedule myself.
• No daily yoga or meditation took place because there were only two patients.
• I tried joining another group for classes, but teachers either arrived 40 minutes late or didn’t show up at all.
• In total, I attended just one yoga and one meditation class in two weeks.
⸻
4. ❌ Diet
• The menu was not adapted for Panchakarma; there was no separate Ayurvedic meal plan.
• No dietary advice was given — I had to beg the doctor for information.
• No balanced approach — only 5 dishes on the menu were appropriate, the rest were heavy and unsuitable.
⸻
5. ❌ Accommodation
• My room smelled like sewage, had no balcony, terrible Wi-Fi, and room service came every 5 days.
• When I asked to change rooms, they offered even worse options (old rooms, noisy construction views, or 5th floor).
• There was massive construction all around, with constant noise.
• The hotel was full of local guests drinking, shouting, and letting children run around late — in a so-called wellness center.
• Due to noise and poor internet, I couldn’t do my online work — video calls were impossible both inside and out.
⸻
6. ❌ Communication & Organization
• There were no lectures, no theory, no orientation.
• To go on an excursion, I had to organize everything myself — find a car, set a time, etc.
• The doctor was inattentive, distant, and even a bit rude.
• Not once did he check on my well-being during the detox.
• He only seemed interested in money.
⸻
7. ❌ Self-Managed Detox
• I had to remind the doctor about taking ghee or fasting days — he never gave instructions.
• I was left to manage my own Panchakarma process, start to finish.
⸻
8. ❌ Payment & Departure
• On the day of departure, the doctor did not show up at the agreed time for payment, which almost made me miss my transport to Delhi.
• Despite prior request, no transfer was arranged at the right time.
• The result — chaos and stress on my final day.
⸻
✅ The Only Positive
• The massages were okay, but that’s it.
⸻
🔚 Final Verdict
I expected a personalized, caring Panchakarma and got:
• poor organization,
• indifferent staff,
• constant issues with service and logistics.
I do NOT recommend Haritha Yogshala to anyone seeking genuine Ayurvedic care, guidance, or a proper healing environment.
