John was nothing short of amazing from start to finish. We weren’t too sure about hiring a videographer until we had spoken with John. John is great at clearly communicating all of the details and important dates. Towards our wedding day, we were informed that Rose would be our videographer. She came highly recommended and is often requested. Rose was AMAZING! She is so versatile in her skills. Not only is she a videographer, she is an officiant, has worked for David’s Bridal, and so much more! She was such an asset on our wedding for so much more than recording the video. So many special moments were documented and John really captured our love in our video. He made sure to include all of the important moments, meaningful words, and fun vibes that were shared that day. I am so beyond happy we were able to hire John and his team to capture the day and create our forever memory.

My husband Jim and I were recently married in NJ and so lucky to have Happy Tears as our wedding videography team.

I was referred to John of Happy Tears through my good friend. My husband and I found ourselves in an unlucky situation as our first videographer took our deposit and disappeared. From the moment we had our first phone call with John, he was invested in us as a couple and reassuring of his commitment to providing quality videography for our wedding day. That reassurance continued throughout our wedding planning process as he often reached out to us with updates and words of encouragement. Even on the morning of our wedding, John reached out with well wishes!

For our wedding day, John sent THE BEST videographer (also named Jim, like my husband). Jim arrived on time, was friendly and made everyone laugh during a hectic morning. He went above and beyond to capture drone footage, video of our whole wedding day, and even a few special requests we had for our video. He brought a fun energy to the entire day, pumping up the wedding party and guests. We had many people comment on how great Jim was as our videographer.

Following our wedding, John continued to communicate about the progress of editing our video and shortly after, we received it. As my husband and I sat watching our video with happy tears in our eyes, we re-lived our special day all over again. John edited our video to perfection, blending together the audio from our day with the meaningful songs that we chose. Videography was not something that I placed an initial importance on, but it is absolutely something that I can’t imagine not having now. One of our greatest decisions in the wedding process was booking HAPPY TEARS. Thank you John and Jim for everything!

John is the owner of Happy Tears Production. He was truly a pleasure to work with leading up to our big day. He is super responsive to emails, texts and phone calls. You can tell right away that he has a true passion for what he does. The day of our actually wedding we worked with 2 of his other videographers, Rose and Mike. They blended into the background seamlessly. But when needed Rose would step in to fix a detail or offer a suggestion and we were happy to be surrounded by professional experts.
We opted for the “Cinema” video and John had it to us within weeks of the wedding. We enjoyed the final product of our Cinema video so much, that we actually touched base with John down the road to also create for us a second “Documentary” video.
Again, John was extremely responsive. He made our second video for us in less than a month after re-contacting him.
We would recommend John and his team without any reservations. You will not be disappointed!

From the moment we met John, we knew we were going to use Happy Tears for our wedding videography. The prices are unbeatable with so many discounted options which truly helped in planning for our big day. John was extremely communicative and transparent through the planning process, and continued checking in with us as time got closer to the big day. We had Chris as our videographer for our wedding day, and he was absolutely phenomenal. He was sweet, funny, and he seemed to mesh super well with my photographer, so much so that many of my bridesmaids thought they were from the same studio! I cannot say enough great things about Chris – he brought the great vibes and did a phenomenal job with capturing the best day of our lives. John got previews to us just a few short days while we were on our honeymoon, and we could not stop watching them!! We received our extended highlights film and Chris captured so many amazing parts of the day in such a perfect way. I have legitimately recommended Happy Tears to all of my engaged friends and I am so excited that I’ll get to work with them in some capacity at my friends’ weddings in the future!! BOOK HAPPY TEARS – you will not be disappointed!! 😊

Using Happy Tears was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! John was a pleasure to work with and he was always talked to you like you've been friends for years! We had Rose as our day of videographer and she was excellent! She got great shots, and was willing to go the extra mile when needed!

We did the ~10 minute cinema production for our video which came out amazing! It captured the best parts of the day and definitely made a lot of people who watched it cry happy tears!
We also got our video back less than 3 weeks after the wedding which was way faster than I ever expected! Also, the discounts John offers are amazing and makes videography super affordable!

John was so helpful and responsive throughout the entire planning process. He completely understood what important aspects we wanted in the video and created such amazing highlight videos! He responded to emails/text in a promptly manner and always ensured he was helping us the best he could! Jim was the videographer who came to the venue the day of and he was amazing!! He captured all the best moments during photos as well as the entire ceremony. He was in the middle of the dance floor getting all of our guests involved! I cannot thank and recommend Happy Tears Productions enough!

Happy Tears production was a 10/10 experience. From the initial inquiry to follow up after the wedding John was great with communication. John also is upfront about pricing and lays out options to work with your budget. Rose was our videographer and arrived earlier than her scheduled time and gave us more footage than was originally planned. She navigated through each segment of the day without noticing any setup or camera equipment. Our highlight video was edited beautifully. I am so happy we chose happy tears for our wedding day.

We loved working with John throughout the whole process!! He made it very easy. Jim was our videographer at our wedding and he was absolutely amazing!!! He was a hype man and kept everyone excited, both our bridal party and guests! We couldn't have asked for a better videographer! Everyone was telling us how great he was! He showed us some of the shots he took and they looked amazing! We can't wait to see the final product! We found Happy Tears through a friend who used them for their wedding and they had Jim as well, so when John asked if we wanted Jim, there was no hesitation to us saying yes. I, the bride, knew how great Jim was from the friend's wedding because I was a bridesmaid and he was awesome there as well. Also Rose who was another one of our videographers, up until she became our officiant, was amazing as well! We added her as our second videographer last minute and we're so glad we did!

Back again to write a second review, now that we have all of our wedding videos (teaser, highlights & documentary). We are obsessed with our videos! John, Jim & Rose were such a great pleasure to work with!! John was so great to us with all of the behind the scenes work. Jim & Rose captured all the beautiful moments and we are so grateful that we have these to look back on. They made working with them feel like we were working with friends and not someone we just hired to video our wedding. I had the pleasure of seeing Jim's work in action at my best friend's wedding who I was a bridesmaid in and I am so glad he was available for my own wedding. He was such a hype man and everyone loved him. Everyone kept telling us how great he was. Jim was our main videographer as Rose took on another role of being our officiant. I hope we can somehow be able to work with Happy Tears again in the future! It was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding to hire Happy Tears as our videography company! Happy tears, there aren’t enough words to describe how AMAZING john and his team are. From the first day of contact up until this day, john has been incredibly helpful and attentive. His turn around time is pretty impressive. He so easy to work with and on the day of the wedding, he’s was my friend. And that right there is good business. He truly loves what he does and it shows. Everything came out perfect and if you’re hesitating, don’t. Hands down 20 out of 10!

Happy Tears Productions really brings out the “Happy Tears.” I recommend this company to ANYONE!!! John is great to work with, and made the planning process so easy! He is a great person and you can tell he is dedicated to his work. Jim was our primary videographer and he did a great job capturing beautiful moments that cannot be caught in a photograph. We stumbled upon Happy Tears production while looking for videographers for our wedding in January. We immediately got in touch with John Rink, the owner of the company, and from the first meeting we knew we were in good hands. Not only appreciative of the discounts he gave my now husband and I due to our occupations he also was extremely thorough and diligent throughout the entire process. He comforted and reassured me when things were confusing & overwhelming. He and his crew went above and beyond to obtain amazing video coverage of our special day. John allowed us to choose our own instrumental music as well as our music for the full length video too. Happy Tears also provided us with recommendations of photographers they have worked with in the past too which helped us choose our photographers as well. As you could imagine our photographs are amazing too! We are beyond happy and grateful for our highlight reel and full length version videos that we will now have as keepsakes for the rest of our lives - we shed ‘happy tears’ the whole way through! Definitely worth considering adding them to your big day as they will create memories no one else will be able to give you!

What first attracted me to Happy Tears was seeing how they honor our first responders, military, and teachers. As a teacher, I was so taken back by this because it is very rare to find a vendor in the wedding industry that is willing to acknowledge our hard work and make this process even smoother for us. When my husband and I first spoke to John on the phone, we knew that we were sold. John is so unbelievably passionate about his work and also his clients. He did not spare one detail or piece of information when talking with us. He took so much pride in us as potential customers and it meant so much to us. Leading up to our wedding, we asked to make a few adjustments to some things we wanted in our video and John was SO accommodating to everything we asked for. Working with John felt like working with a friend and we loved every second of it.
The day of our wedding, Jim was our videographer. All I can say is WOW! Jim was not only an amazing videographer, he was the life of the party! He was so kind, funny, and easy to work with. He had everyone laughing and smiling and truly having the best time. This made for one hell of a video! Jim was such a fun person to be around that we asked him if he could stay after he was done and enjoy the rest of the wedding with us! Once again, it seemed like we were with a friend. And now that we have our video back, we have not stopped crying HAPPY TEARS because of how wonderful all of the shots are and also the editing. We cannot recommend Happy Tears enough. When my husband, Robert, and I first spoke to John on the phone, it was as if we were friends for years. He was kind, funny and extremely knowledgeable. You can tell he is very passionate about his job. John kept us in the loop, and always sent us updated emails when things were due. He also always answered any and all questions we had about any little thing. He even gave us recommendations for other vendors that he has worked with.
From the beginning, Rob and I thought John was going to be the one who was filming our wedding. About a week or two before, he let us know it would be Jim and Belle. Rob and I were fine with this, since we trusted John to steer us in the right direction. John told me that Belle was somewhat new to Happy Tears, but was such a sweetheart. And the way he described Jim, “Mr. Personality”.
Let us tell you, John was NOT wrong!!! Belle was so sweet, made us feel extremely comfortable the whole day. You would never know she was newer to the game/team.
As far as Jim. WOW!! He danced all night with us. Even at one point during the night, a song played that Jim likes. Jim said to Robert “I’m not filming this, I’m rocking out with you guys instead!” Jim was so much fun, and fit right in. He came over to me at the end of the night and said, “Kelli, you were right, these people know how to party!”
Jim kept everyone engaged, kept our guests going crazy on the dance floor, and knew exactly what he was doing. John was right to call him “Mr. Personality”, because he was 100% that!!
We couldn’t recommend Happy Tears enough!!! Even sweeter surprise was our wedding video was ready on our 1-month wedding anniversary! There were many happy tears shed while watching our video. We relived our best day yet, all over again!
