We have just used Hambledon Staircases to replace an old 50's style banister and understairs cupboard with a modern oak and glass banister and understair drawer unit, which we are delighted with.
We were extremely impressed with every stage of the process from initial enquiry, advice,and quotations through to the work itself.
This is an excellent run family business and Nick's craftsmanship is second to none.
Thoroughly recommended.

Ned and Imogen were a pleasure to deal with, from my initial enquiry to completion of our stairs.They were prompt in providing a quote and responding to queries.

Ahead of installation, Ned explained every step of the process in detail so I knew exactly what to expect and how long the work would take. On site, he was incredibly diligent and tidy. We are delighted with our new stairs.

It was an absolute pleasure to deal with both Imogen and Nick, from start to finish. From the ease of the quote process through to installation. Nick clearly takes great pride in his workmanship, and was exceptionally tidy, cleaning up as he went. The end result is fantastic, I am really pleased. They both kept me well informed throughout the process and even managed to bring forward my installation date, which was convenient for both of us! Thank you for the great service. We wanted to replace the original 1960s open tread staircase which wasn't feeling very safe anymore. Nick & Imogen are a great team & from our initial enquiry to the finished product were fantastic throughout. Nick's talents are obvious when you see the completed oak & glass staircase with fantastic built in storage for shoes & coats. It has transformed the entrance hall if not the entire house. From the first contact with Imogen who supplied the quote to meeting Nick who came out to measure up and then install our under stairs cupboards, we couldn’t have been more pleased with the service we received. A very professional and friendly service and our new storage cupboards look fantastic. We would thoroughly recommend this company.

Nick & Imogen were excellent, Imogen did the planning and measuring an Nick the building of our staircase and understairs storage.
Even though is was not they fault the glass which was cut wrong by the glaziers and Nick was very apologetic about it.

Their were a few minor changes to the understairs storage but Nick got it all sorted.

Overall I would recommend Hambledon Staircase for a excellent work and dedication to the job making sure everything was to our satisfaction.

We were extremely happy with what they done.

I would give them 100 stars for the fantastic job they done.

Where do I start? What an outstanding job! From the first contact Imogen and Nick were friendly and helpful. We couldn't see how to solve our slightly unusual staircase layout, just knew that we wanted oak and glass. We sent photographs and the quote and solution came back very quickly. Nick visited to explain what he intended to do and show us wood samples. Our grandson was intrigued with the sample box!
Appointments were made for the first and second visits and Nick arrived exactly when he said. I can only say he was a pleasure to have in the house, friendly and a tidy worker.
The second visit saw the glass panels installed and the entire job was wrapped up. We are so impressed with the final result and the standard of the workmanship.
Nick tidied and cleaned when finished - you wouldn't know he'd been there. We just cannot recommend Hambledon highly enough.

Excellent service, beautiful finish - exactly what we were looking for. Can't recommend highly enough!

Just had an oak staircase installed by Nick and Imogen (used to be a satined pine awful thing).
Nick did most of the work and was a delight to have in the house. He is a master craftsman and turned our tired and unattractive staircase into a thing of real beauty with oak balustrades, spindles and strings.
We also had the oak bottom step option.
It looks stunning and I couldn't recommend them highly enough. The Country needs more people like this who produce such quality and are so delightful to work with.
