It ships frozen to your door across the U.S. We’re farmer-owned and have been selling grass-fed meats since 2000. Suet is the firm, crumbly fat from around a cow’s kidneys and loins. Ours is 100% internal organ fat, left unrendered, so you can cook with it as is or render it into tallow at home. Beef suet for cooking and baking Suet melts at a higher temperature than butter, which is why British cooks have relied on it for generations for flaky pastry, steamed puddings and mince pies. It’s also a great fat for frying and roasting. Hunters mix it into lean venison and elk for sausage and burgers, and rendered suet is the traditional fat in pemmican. Bird lovers use it for homemade suet cakes, too. Why grass-fed beef suet matters Grass-fed cattle have been shown to produce 2 to 3 times more conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) than cattle raised in confinement [*]. CLA occurs naturally in beef and dairy fat. It’s not the same as the artificial trans fats in partially hydrogenated oils, which the FDA no longer recognizes as safe for use in food. This is the only way I make my tallow. I don't ever buy pre-rendered tallow. It always has an odor. Making it myself from this suet is prefect, 100% of the time.

This is great for making purified tallow! Tallow can be used for cooking, making soaps, and lotion. I will keep ordering!

It was very, very, very, dry and crumbled into small bits. It also had a strong odor. Since this is my first time with beef suet, I don't know if it's suppose to be this way but I will not be ordering beef suet again.

This product is excellently packed and the taste is great. The tallow I make from this tastes better than store brought tallow. The suet left over after rendering it is crispy and tastes like fried cracklings. I will keep this suet in stock. It’s a keeper!

This is very high quality. I use it everyday for cooking. It is easy to digest and has a high smoke point so it’s good for frying. I love that it’s from grass fed cows.👍🏻

I am sorry to say that but I don't think it is a good quality when I compare it with grass feed/finished beef suet from other sources

I would recommend putting this in a heavy freezer bag and press into a flat layer so you can break off easily what you want for a meal right out of the freezer with no need to defrost.
