This school never even good place start with for example they lie to you about taking drugs even though never took drugs second they even yell at you for walk out the school assembly and lasting they don’t even care about your period issues because I told teacher I have emergency she ignored that wanted apology to teacher even tho she yelled at me I only trust adult who understands me. Feel like she didn’t understand since Henry. Snitches. On Me before like u said wouldn’t come to this school Haley and I Happy didn’t have deal no more teacher childish

I was initially very excited for my son to start kindergarten at Grand River Academy. Unfortunately, our experience has been disappointing. On the first day of school, I briefly met his assigned teacher, only to learn she went on maternity leave that same week. My son was then placed with a substitute teacher who frequently called me throughout the school day for things she should have been able to handle as a teacher.

Fast forward to 2026, when his original teacher returned, and many of the same issues continued. Most recently, I was contacted and told to pick my son up at 9:00 a.m. because he told his teacher he felt sick and sleepy. When I arrived, I felt I had no choice but to take him home—even though he showed no visible signs of illness. He had no cough, no fever, no vomiting, no diarrhea, and no other symptoms. From my understanding, to be labeled as "sick" the child should have exhibit some of those symptoms. My child didn't have not one.

This left me confused and frustrated about why he was sent to the office and dismissed so early. It also caused an issue at work because I had to leave for the day to care for a child that wasn't sick at all.

Overall, it has felt like a lack of support and consistency, and at times it seems as though staff are unwilling to fully manage classroom responsibilities. As a working parent, this has been extremely frustrating and disappointing.

The way these teachers and principal address these lil people is of great concern…considering these young minds our literally our future leaders, and you folks are in place to teach as well as protect them the short time that they are in your presence. It’s mind blowing the way that you treat them like adults! Or animals even! I regret the day I decided to enroll my fragile lil humans in this academy this year just cannot be over fast enough!!!

This school is good but flawed. I don't believe you should stop your child from going here, but you should be worried about what happens there. This school has had more than one occasion where there were drugs or alcohol on the school premises, and I think that is evidence enough that this school is not the best. the teachers are good but they blindly follow the curriculum and that can be repetitive and boring for your child.

This school is ass . If you care about to kids don’t send them here

I change my son from springwest academy, I thought river academy is better ,I made big mistake my son did not improve ,my son always get 4 of 4 in maths and maths teacher was saying he is very good ,now my son failed on GSCE maths ,river academy did not work proper with student face to GSCE ,get disappointed from fiver academy

They want to keep the hazing and abuses cases out of the press and media. After the recent Paris Hilton Documentary about the abuse by faculty at Provo in Utah I decided I can’t be silent anymore. At GRA the harassment, hazing and abuse was done by older students and approved by faculty. It was a way to keep their hands clean. They would lie to parents regularly and say that we were exaggerating or lying. My story reflects perfectly with the court case M.Y. v. Grand River Academy, 54 IDELR 255 (N.D. Ohio 2010). If you look at the base story of the case that is what many of use went through on a daily bases. This place should have been shut down long ago. Not to mention they would let in anyone with money. Including individuals who were so mentally disturbed one would go on to kill his father on Christmas Day and another kill his brother with a baseball bat.

This school has excellent academics and educators, and a great Principal. Great after school activities! We love this school! However, there needs to do a better job of assisting teachers with students that are a major destraction or have behavioral issues in the classroom, so that the educators can do their job to meet their goals. And so that those students that are a distraction can be in a learning environment that will get them excited about learning. This should be for all schools!

Our children receive differentiated learning in the classroom. The teachers develop individualized, unique plans that challenge each of my children to grow academically each school-year.

Very happy with the school, teachers and education system.

I am happy with the school. But I felt they should have made the transition in the grades a bit more easy for kids. My daughter tells me that restrooms are very dirty and water fountains are leaking.

My daughter is in first grade now and i am very satisfied with her growth in studies and reading. Their goals and standards are very high and the staffs are very good and hard working. I would recommend this school to anyone.

It's a high achievements and high

Although this is a new school operating only from last year, it has been exemplary in its principles and values. Extremely impressed and happy with the way the teachers have been teaching the kids and management being very responsible...Since we pulled our kid from the public school and put her in this school, our kid has adjusted very well and has been performing very well. We have seen a great improvement in her commitment levels and performance...greatly like the home work system this school has which brings in a lot of discipline...

I'm extremely happy and satisfied with my daughter going to Grand River Academy. Thanks to all the faculty and staff.

My over all experience with Grand River and especially with Mr. Harper has been very positive. The school places tremendous emphasis on academics. One area I would like to see more of is individualized learning and more feedback to the parents for an individual child's performance. Another area I would be hoping for improvement is in Improved Security. Given the school's location, i think some more arrangements for security on campus should be made.

I am honored that the school ensures the comparability and safety of our children. Meets all expectations

My first grader is learning so much... With wonderful teachers. Love that the principal is always out there in the mix of everything, he truly cares about our kids.
