Very well organised and Becky (manager), Mac (dep manager) and Fin were all very hands-on and showed huge (and appreciated) levels of care to the kids aged 8-11. Excellent communications both before and on the day. Paint pellets and guns are adapted for this age range (and obviously don't play against adults). Well built camp in the middle of the forrest allowed for multiple birthday parties to be held simultaneously but with enough space for everyone. Good toilet facilities. Also a shop/cafe on site.

Very expensive and disappointing
I took my son and his friend here yesterday for a play date. They are both 10 years old. It was not clear to me when booking (and I would say it is very misleading ) that they would be in a group that included adults. Since I had selected 10-14 years I had assumed that they would be in a group where the maximum age is 14 years. It was only on arrival that it became apparent that the age group is ‘10+’ and the + means adults. Apparently ‘where possible’ teams will be organised based on age but obviously where bookings are limited as yesterday all customers are grouped together (the alternative being to cancel the bookings which I think should certainly have been offered in advance of our visit).
My son’s group was made up of only 8 players. This is nowhere near enough to make it fun. 3 of the players were adults and these adults were vaping in the seated area near the other 5 children. There was no signage to say that smoking/ vaping is not permitted and it was only when I raised this with staff that the adults were directed to the ‘fire-pit’ where smoking was allowed. This alone seems to support my view that it is not appropriate for children and adults to be in mixed groups unless it is a party situation where the children and adults are known to one another. I do not think there are many parents who would knowingly organise a play date which involved their children doing an activity with 3 unknown grown men. I am sure it was far from ideal for those adults as well.
We arrived before 11am (as we were told to arrive 15 minutes early) and there was a lot of hanging around both before the activity began (around 11.45 or just after) and between ‘missions’. I raised this with staff who said that the missions were shorter due to the small group size. There is just a lot of hanging around time compared with gaming time. I raised this and staff said that part of the activity is getting the kit on and buying the ammo. I would strongly disagree with this as it was actually fairly stressful grappling with the size of the helmet and belt and figuring out what to do with the paint balls. Help with these difficulties was provided upon request.
Unfortunately the seating area allocated to us was covered in paint on arrival (both the table and benches) and I was left to wipe it down with the blue paper towel and cleaner provided on the side. Not really any excuse for this since there had been no activity before ours and it began at 11am and at an event where prices are so high it’s not acceptable. The managers were at pains to stress to me that their view is that paintballing is a good day out but not a cheap day out. Unfortunately it was neither of these for us.
Staff on site were very keen to try to address the concerns I raised and seemed genuinely sorry that we were so disappointed although I had mentioned my intention to post a review online. The site manager sat down with me to discuss my concerns at length but my concerns remain such that I would like to highlight them as this information would have been very helpful to me prior to considering a visit.
Overall it was a very expensive day out which would be ok if it had been better but unfortunately it fell short in too many areas and the boys ultimately chose to leave early as they were not comfortable. The boys did find getting hit by paint balls painful and my son has a couple of visible bruises today although I would not have raised this if the occasion had delivered in all of the other areas.

We spoke at length on the day of your event, and I wanted to personally follow up.
Firstly, I’m sorry that we missed the mark on your expectations. That is last thing we would want customers to feel leaving our venue,I did, however, want to take a moment to clarify a few of the points we discussed on the day:
- As mentioned at the venue, the booking you made was not a dedicated 10-14 ages session. We do also run specific 10-14 year old events, whereas the one you picked was ages 10+ were we often get friends, family and mixed groups involved - everyone takes part in the same games and it works brilliantly.
- Prior to your booking or event our team couldn’t be more available on phone/whatsapp/email to answer any questions so if you had any preconceived ideas or wanted to speak on anything further we would for sure of been able to assist.
- To clarify the group ages on the day, alongside your son and his friend there were also four 13 year olds and three adults participating. Our teams are always split evenly, so it is never an adults versus children scenario, with adults placed across both sides.
- In relation to the group size, a session of 8 players can be a really enjoyable number, particularly for first-time players (as your son and his friend were). Smaller groups often create more involvement and an intimate experience for younger players. The beauty of this means you don’t have to book and pay for a group of 8 to 10 players for them to have a good time, hence the reason you can book and pay for only 2 players and they will (mostly) have an incredibly awesome time.
- We run hundreds of events each month with group sizes starting from around five players upwards, and smaller sessions can often be excellent fun. From my conversations with the boys on the day, they seemed to be having a genuinely enjoyable time, which was lovely to see.
- In relation to the cost of the day, whilst we would never describe paintballing as a ‘cheap’ activity, we do believe the value included is huge.
- On the day, you selected our ‘perfect for kids’ 600 paintballs per player package, which is £45pp. All of our paintball packages work out from £7 per 100 paintballs, whereas most other venues charge £14+ per 100 paintballs. This also includes a full day of instructor led sessions across the Forest, playing 5 different themed game maps throughout. We appreciate everyone has different budgets for these types of activities and we have strived over the years to give our customers and players the most for their money.
- The period prior to games includes signing entrance forms, being issued kit for the day, time to ‘kit up’ and get accustomed to your equipment, being ‘checked in’ for paintballs, loading paintballs into your equipment, and then a full operations briefing. This operations briefing is a key part of the day, especially for first time players, as it ensures everyone is confident, safe, and ready to enjoy the games.
- With regards to the vaping issue, I completely agree this was not acceptable. We have a designated smoking and vaping area in place, and as soon as this was brought to our attention it was addressed immediately and those guests were redirected. Whilst we are an outdoor venue, it still falls below the standards we expect, which is why action was taken straight away.
- I also appreciate you recognising that the team on site genuinely cared about your disappointment and wanted to help. We would never want any guest to leave feeling let down, and thankfully that is very rare for us. Your feedback has been taken on board and shared internally.
I’m sorry to hear the experience didn’t fully meet your expectations - this being said I do wish you had reached out If you had any specific requirements or expectations beforehand, as we’d have been more than happy to discuss them with you in advance and advise best.

I had my child’s 12th birthday party here. We had a paintballing party and from the moment I made an enquiry on the website the service was impeccable.
The WhatsApp chat made it so easy to ask questions and book the day and plan the event.

Son’s 9th birthday party
We had my son’s 9th birthday party at the weekend and highly recommend.
The events team are amazing, all the kids were super engaged and listened carefully to the safety guidelines.
The children were taken off for their 3 rounds, they only came back to base camp where we waited at our allocated party table for two quick breaks and then their food at the end.
Facilities were amazing, clean toilets, the shop had drinks (cold and hot) and snacks to buy whilst waiting for the children at base camp enjoying the peace and quiet.
Super easy, hassle free party which every kid loved and have had nothing but positive feedback from the parents!
Will definitely be back for another party.

I recently went for a solo adventure in the Surrey branch with Mel running the event. The staff were so sweet and so kind! They kept Instructions clear and all the staff were super helpful with any questions you might have. Being alone I thought okay how will this pan out, but I was happy to say the whole team were supportive and encouraging, always checking in to make sure I was okay and I could see them doing checks with others too! We came here for my friends birthday and were very disappointed.
First of all there is a high safety risk as the suits have zero padding and most of them have holes. If you get shot, it hurts very bad and leaves bad bruises. The helmets are dirty and fog really badly which makes it extremely hard to see. Also it's impossible to tell who is on whose team from a distance, so you can easily end up shooting your own teammates.
Also a big problem is cheating which was happening all the time. 9/10 times if someone gets shot they won't go out and the game leader won't punish them in anyway. Which honestly makes sense because when you are out, you are supposed to put your hand up and go back to spawn but you will probably get shot 4-5 times while you walking there which really hurts.
Overall I would never recommend coming here. The only good thing are the maps which are pretty good but that's it.
Also I've noticed something very suspicious about the reviews on Google Maps. When I looked at all the positive reviews I have noticed that they looked as if they were written by AI. I run the top 4 through an AI detector and they were all 100% AI.

Our camo suits are the same used worldwide for recreational paintball - lightweight Ripstop with a padded collar. Fully padded suits might sound safer, but in reality they cause players to massively overheat, sweat heavily and fog their goggles far quicker. This is exactly why the entire paintball industry avoids thick padded suits. Lightweight, breathable suits combined with proper Goggle Systems are the globally recognised safe standard.
If the suit you received didn’t feel comfortable or suitable, our Events Staff would have happily swapped it straight away, as we keep spare sets and multiple sizes available throughout the day.
We run dual-pane, anti-fog, thermal Goggle Systems - the leading gold standard in the industry. All goggles are cleaned and fully checked before each session. Any fogging is usually caused by players wearing multiple thick layers which create excess heat and moisture on the lens. Even then, these goggles are the best available at resisting fog, and our Events Staff can replace a goggle system at any point if needed to.
Fair play is essential, and players also have a personal responsibility to call their own hits as soon as they’re marked. Alongside this, our professionally trained Events Staff work extremely hard to monitor hits from multiple angles and generally do a phenomenal job of enforcing the rules.
We also run a “Paint Check” system - if you believe you’ve hit someone and staff couldn’t see it clearly, you can call it and they will immediately inspect the player to confirm whether they are in or out.
When returning to respawn, it’s very rare for players to be maliciously shot after being hit. We brief everyone to keep one hand fully raised, move quickly back to the respawn netting and avoid central engagement areas.
These processes significantly reduce stray rounds, although in fast-paced games there will always be the occasional paintball travelling through the air that isn’t aimed at anyone in particular.
Regarding your suggestion that our positive reviews are AI-generated, this is completely nonsense.
All of our reviews are written by genuine customers from the past 14 years of running outdoor experiences. To be honest, it’s quite insulting to imply that they’re fabricated. Our feedback - both good and bad - is incredibly important to us as it helps us adapt and improve. We’re not perfect, but every event day we strive to be better, and genuine customer-created feedback is a huge part of that.

Fantastic staff with great knowledge
Fantastic staff with great knowledge, great location and a very immersive venue with a great variety of game modes and playing zones.
The pricing is very reasonable with a great selection of upgrades on equipment. Sales of upgrades, and options was clearly explained but we did not feel forced into any purchases made.
The games were fun and immersive on well thought out playing maps, and the equipment offered is state of the art and well maintained.
Overall we had an epic day on the battlefields and will return in the near future.
