Our Church's Goodbox device works well…

Our Church's Goodbox device works well and is extremely reliable. Whenever I have contacted the Help Desk I have always received excellent service. I am not very computer literate and so their support has been much appreciated.

No help from Goodbox for defective device

Our church has had a Goodbox mini since Nov 2019. It performed OK but the battery life is very short. The device was not used much because of Covid lockdown. This last Sunday when the devise was plugged in it could not be used as a red code keeps flashing "TAMPER DETECTED please contact local vendor" The tech team say it must have been dropped but most definitely NOT. As its out of warrenty it needs to be replaced. So after less than a years use the machine is useless. No support or discount was offered. I see Parish Buying has now teamed up with Sumup who's similar SumupG3 device is similar, cheaper and does not require a monthly fee.

We are very sorry that you are unhappy with the service you have received at GoodBox, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional customer service and receive many compliments from our customer base who appreciate the technical assistance they receive.

With regards your specific issue - all payment devices have an anti tamper mechanism to prevent people trying to install malicious card skimming software and once this has been triggered the device is rendered completely unusable and it cannot be repaired.

Unfortunately this is not covered by our standard warranty so we are unable to offer a replacement free of charge however we have a range of options to procure a replacement device. We would like to confirm that hardware on lease has continued warranty. Please contact our sales team via sales@goodbox.com to discuss so that we can assist in your fundraising for such a worthwhile cause.

GoodBox Core is a neat looking device which sat well on the table near to our church door.

I have had a very quick response from Tanya at GoodBox. She tells me that they have changed their suppier of GoodBox Core devices and will get a replacement to us really quickly. I have upped the star rating from one to three on the strength of Tanya's email and will leave it there until the new device is up and running. If it prove reliable I will up it again to five stars.

This old review explains why I have only give three stars at the moment. "The trouble is that it is unreliable. The first one did not send donations up to GoodBox to be processed. We lost about £100 on that. The second one lasted for about a month and then the display failed. The third one has lasted about 18 months and now the display has failed in the same way as the second one. We have received a little more than £75 more than we have paid for the machine so our kind donors have been supporting GoodBox rather than the church.

I am sure that contactless giving is the way to go but GoodBox seems to be the wrong route."

We have seen these screen issues with a small number of clients and have since changed our screen supplier. Our latest batch of GBx Cores have improved screens and are considerably more reliable than previous models. Service improvements noted

After many teething troubles and a lot of support from the GoodBox team I've updated my initial 1 star review to 3 stars.

When we received the GBx mini device it was clearly underdeveloped and rushed into the marketplace too early. We repeatedly lost donations as they failed to upload.

Several months on and with new software finally installed things seem to be improving. We still have trouble with uploading donations via a mobile network but at least now they don't dissappear and we can upload in batches via WiFi.

Promising signs.

Great customer service

Daniel was extremely helpful. I thought we would need to cancel our subscription to Goodbox but he was able to suspend our account for six months. This was the perfect approach at a time of great uncertainty.

Great devices and good customer service

We have used the GBx Mini and the GBx Core for various different events and have found them great to use.
What especially stood out about the GBx Mini, was being able to use this device in another country, other brands do not offer this.
The GBx Core allowed us to display our own graphics on the screen letting our donors know who they were donating to.
The great thing about the devices is that they accept donations offline keeping our mind at ease when WiFi or signal has been lost.

GoodBox customer service has consistently been great, they are friendly and kind and are willing to help at all times. They have also taken the time out to listen to our feedback and what would make the product work even better for us.

Excellent product & service from GoodBox

Excellent service from the GoodBox team and an excellent product. The whole rental process was quick and easy, the device functioned perfectly and the funds were transferred to our charity's bank account promptly. We couldn't have asked for anything better.

Helpful staff, brilliant product!

All the staff at GoodBox were incredibly helpful, from the initial questions about the different options to the help on install and usage. It was easy to set-up and is simple to use on a day to day basis, with a very user-friendly interface, and it really does make it easier for visitors to our venue to donate. Thanks GoodBox!

We used a GoodBox Mini for our school…

We used a GoodBox Mini for our school fundraising. This really helped when people simply do not carry cash anymore. We also have a GoodBox Core that raises money for our school in the local pub. The service and support from GoodBox was fantastic and I would highly recommend.

I can only imagine how important these devices will be for charities post-COVID

I love working with the GoodBox team, they are definitely leading the way in the industry and innovating the way we donate here in the UK. I frequently donate via their devices at churches that I visit while site seeing, the machines couldn't be easier to use and as a person that never carries cash it is super handy. I can only imagine how important these devices will be for charities post-COVID.

Nice dealing with Goodbox

Nice dealing with Goodbox. The Goodbox mini is easy to use. Order a spare battery if you think your fundraising event will go much beyond 3 hours. Kind and prompt customer service. Recommended.

Love these guys

Love these guys! Great service and always go above and beyond the job to make the fundraising event a success - even building us custom products. Support is always top notch, kind and attentive (shout out to Jenell !)

Really promising products but hampered…

Really promising products but hampered by poor hardware and software design/integration and testing. Good customer service but if don't have a solid product you're a bit stuffed. Shame.
