I am sharing this based on my personal experience as a former employee of Go Kite Travels. My intention is to help others make informed decisions and to offer advice to former colleagues and prospective employees.

I worked at Go Kite Travels for one year and six months, during which I carried out my responsibilities with commitment and dedication.

During the war period, a number of employees they have removed from company, and I was responsible for managing Global Visa Department operations for six branches on my own for nearly two months. During this time, I handled a high volume of applications under significant pressure. I repeatedly requested additional staff support, but no backup resources were provided.

Later, I was informed by the Business Development Manager and the Training Manager that I should step away from the company within two days. When I expressed my intention to resign, I was instructed not to submit a formal resignation. Instead, I was asked to send an email stating that I was leaving for health reasons if I wished to receive my salary and final settlement.

At that time, I was concerned because I had seen other employees experience difficulties obtaining their experience certificates and final settlements after leaving. Based on those concerns, I followed the instructions given to me and sent the email as requested.

I was informed that I would receive my notice period salary, gratuity, and other final dues. About a month later, the HR department contacted me regarding visa cancellation. I explained that I was not comfortable signing visa cancellation documents before receiving my final settlement. During these discussions, I found the communication regarding my exit process to be inconsistent and difficult to understand.

I was then informed that I would be required to compensate the company with one month’s salary because I had allegedly not served my notice period. This came as a surprise because I had not been informed that I was expected to serve a notice period. Instead, after communicating my intention to resign, I was instructed to complete my handover within two days and leave the company.

To my former colleagues, my advice is simple: if you decide to leave the company, keep copies of all emails, WhatsApp conversations, and other written communications. Maintaining proper documentation can help if questions arise during the exit process.

Since I was concerned about the experiences I had seen with other employees leaving the company, including difficulties in obtaining experience certificates and final settlements, I followed the instructions given to me and sent the email accordingly. Dear customer, if they are doing this to the employees, then how can you trust this company as a customer? I was fully scared at that time because I had experience that whoever is leaving from Go Kite either they abscond and they will not give the experience certificate and they won’t give the settlement, so only I was obeying whatever the management informed me. Please don’t trust anybody from the management.

To anyone considering joining the company, I encourage you to carefully review your employment contract, understand all terms and conditions, and keep records of important communications throughout your employment.

This Agency is not reliable, dealing with them at your own risk.
They let me traveled to UAE from ghana with 1 month UAE visa with the assurance to assist me get visa application with a service charge 6,000 AED . I nearly overstayed they couldn't get it so I had to leave . Now I have requested for a refund for about 8 months now they haven't paid . They are thieves, I hate them 😤, big scammers .
