Stay away! This company is a complete scam. We waited for more than an hour and their shuttle bus never came. We ended up hiring from another company.

I f if could give zero I would.
I was using an app for the first time accidentally when I was trying check price for car rent I booked car.
I ring them straight that what the situation I was.They send me a bill 75e instead cancel my transaction. I didn't even touch their car shame on You Go car.I hope the business will collapse sooner or later.This not the way you treat costumers.

The worst customer experience ever. I got a faulty car (Renault Capture Hybrid) were the reverse did not go reverse it got either neutral or forward which is awesome if you have other cars in front of you and a toddler in the rear. BTW this is a known issue for Renault (I whish GoCar did a bit of research which cars are having issues). After a long while discussing I won t use the car again especially with the Baby with me they told me just leave the car and to book a Taxi Home.
So I did. Back home I got called 4 Times I am late returning the car, so I had to explain everything all over again. Than I wanted to forward the Taxi bill to them, as they told me to do, and they blocked my Account!? Seriously? This is the way you treat your customers?
We did not want to buy an own car because where we come from there is a well established and proper working Carsharing system but GoCar is just an very Bad and expensive fail trying to be one.

Very convenient would recommend for short term use but a lot of hidden costs and it’s very overpriced compared to other rental companies I paid 55 a day where the same car was being rented out for 18 per day , only out of convenience would u choose them

Absolute joke of a company I’ve had over 50 trios since October 24 I spend serious money on this car rental customer service absolute joke to your first few journeys your help then your for got about was recently stop by the police for no tax in the the 241 manny dirty Nissan Juke they told me that was not there fault there keyless cars get terrible signal no spare tyres cars and vans are always dirty I’ve like a photo album of over 80 photos of the dirt and the problems with the car or van please don’t use these there making to much money and not giving it back in the service they provide a joke go car is

My friend Octavio and I booked a car for 2:00 pm in Clongrifin to go to work and the car did not arrive, it was late and GoCar said that there would be no other car at my location and that the booked car was not available and Octavio and I lost the day of work, I do not believe that the company is trustworthy, we lost the day of work and €200 each for a total of €400

First booking, I needed a van and booked for 12pm in M1 Retail Park. True to form I got there ridiculously early to locate the vehicle. As my booking time drew closer I checked the 'Locate My Vehicle' on the app a number of times only to be told that the previous owner had not returned it yet. 12pm came and went then the map showed the van's location as Bettystown so I contacted support on the in-app chat only to be told that the booking had been moved to Bettystown. They could not or would not give me a reason that would explain why I was not made aware of this change and expected me to go 30mins down the road for the vehicle. This was a non runner as recycle centre closes at 1pm and that would have been my first stop followed by a light removal from a storage unit. I had people on hand, waiting to assist and all my plans went out the window. I only received the same old, generic ramblings from the support agent, it seems to be all that they are programmed with. I asked for the booking to be cancelled, a refund to be processed and advised that I would be closing / deleting my account and shouting from the mountain tops about this experience. Absolutely Never Again! I sincerely regret not looking at the reviews here prior to booking, thinking that GoCar was a solution for me. They were not.

First time using anything like this rental and it was just excellent.The app works so well telling me where the vehicle is stored waiting for collection and full instruction on how to use it. I was quite surprised how easy it was and the vehicle was only a year old.

Hired a van (as no car available) for 3 days.
It was clean.
Easy app to use but VERY expensive unless you don't go over the 1st 50km that are free.
Would not use again.

Very bad service. Stay a mile away folks. This company tried to bill me for interior damage that was already damaged when I collected the car. They tried to take money off my car without my permission. Absolute gangsters

As an older user in my retirement years we have downsized to one car and as a result I’ve used Go Car several times since October last. Great value, cars always clean and in perfect condition. I also used one of the cargo vans to help move furniture and was delighted with the value

No cleaning facilities. They give their cars a quick clean on the street incl outside residential properties which is against Dublin City Councils rules,Dangerous and simply a penny pinching exercise. Not what you want from a car sharing company

I’ve had 6 trips with GoCar I find them convenient and easy to use. Also very cheap, I love the fact I can get discounts on trips I make. I gather enough points that on my last trip all I paid was €7 and I had the car 2+ hours. They are wonderful and I love how they give free petrol or diesel. I wish there was more GoCars in more rural areas but apart from this they are easy to work with. Their live chat are very quick to respond and to fix any issues I have. I had the car out on the 5th and there was so much snow I couldn’t drive back. They told me to hold unto the car and they gave me plenty of time the next day to return it. Free of charge. I couldn’t be more happier with their service.

At the start I found them good but then unfortunately it went down hill I kept having problems with cars like locking by there self and breaking down and ending my journey out of the blue and also they aren't even serviced at all. When I phoned the company they do be rude most of time and they always say somebody will ring me back but unfortunately bottom line they don't care there just in it for the money

How is company is being questioned by consumer protection and fined for breaching customers trust some civil servants in this country living large on taxpayers money 🤑 without getting the finger out. Clearly the business guideline criteria is flushed down the toilet and guess what the go car cowboys still making their dollars. More people should share this ripoff business and hopefully they be winding down one day 🤬

Recently took a Go city automatic car from Scotch hall Shopping Center Drogheda, the car was very very untidy . The windshield was all very dusty , somehow i wiped the wind shield and the back mirror and drove to the airport to drop my mother but it was a night mare, the decondenser/AC was not the best and the windows were getting condensed very often, the dirt on the windshield was too bad and so I had to go to circle K at 7 AM to do a car wash near the airport. Even after the wash the dirt didnt go completely, I asked go car customer admin for refund but they are a different category and useless. NEVER EVER WILL USE GO CAR AGAIN

Just doesn’t work. Uploaded documents as requested and kept getting emails saying my profile wasn’t complete. Got to Europcar in Knock, Ireland and the app just didn’t work at all. Said the countdown to my rental was at 0m 00s but nothing else. Didn’t refresh or reload. Had to go into Europcar, which is obviously what I wanted to avoid and paid almost double not to do. They requested my licence again. Made me sign a load of forms. Just frustrating as basically I didn’t even get what I paid for - app opens car, away you go. Nonsense.

Absolutely the worst experience using this, especially since it was my first time. The customer service is terrible. The instructions on the app are terrible. The car wouldn't start and they had the cheek to charge me for it. I definitely won't be using again.

Account blocked without explanation despite numerous attempts on my end to resolve.
I have not done a thing wrong with their vehicle but they have blocked my account and when i call or email they say they cant discuss it with me. Really strange as i only used them a couple of times when my car was off the road.
Its actually really annoying that they wont tell me why !

I recently had a highly disappointing experience with GoCar that left me feeling misled and let down by their service. During my rental, I encountered a tire issue and was left to believe that the cost of replacing the tire would be reimbursed. Acting on this information, I went ahead and bought a new tire, only to later be informed that this cost was non-refundable.

Had I been given accurate information from the beginning, I would have simply contacted roadside assistance to return the vehicle to its original location, saving myself the unnecessary expense and hassle. Instead, I felt I had no choice but to pay for the tire replacement out of pocket.

This lack of transparency and communication from GoCar was extremely frustrating. It’s clear to me that GoCar does not prioritize honest communication or customer satisfaction, and unfortunately, I won’t be using their services again. I would caution anyone considering GoCar to be wary of unexpected costs and unclear policies.

Overall, a very disappointing experience.
