Useful information if you can get access to it but their tactics to get more information is flawed. It’s a shame because it could provide a valuable service.

Glassdoor forces you to reveal employment info if you want to use the site. Extortion!

The system feels corrupt.

It's impossible to leave an honest negative review of a company. I've worked for 5 companies in my life, and left positive reviews for 3 of them - those are absolutely untouched. The 2 negative ones are repeatedly removed, sometimes within a week, sometimes after 6 months.

It's become apparent that the report/removal system is being monetized by individuals who advertise their negative review removal services on a major video sharing platform. I speculate that it could be a major source of income for Glassdoor to have negative reviews removed for a fee.

It's become wholly unreliable for it's intended purpose as negative reviews are rarely allowed to stand. You cannot mention harassment, workplace bullying or low salaries/lower than average salary for a particular industry because Glassdoor will remove the review. They won't tell you why, or allow you to appeal the decision as there is no way to speak to a representative of the company.

Thank you TP for your integrity and allowing honest reviews to stand.

Allows 'free speech' then takes all the 1 star reviews away when the company complains.

Great 'honest' website, luring staff into terrible companies.

The point of glassdoor is what? Clearly the glassdoor is very dirty.....

You can't see reviews unless you add a review. Not good.

Glassdoor is the worst ever company to leave a review.
they deleted my review about Northumbria university because it was only 1 star !.
probably the ceo of the university is too ashamed of the mess and glassdoor immediately deleted it .
they are unfair and approve only the review approved by the companies they pay them .
totally avoid and do not trust their faked positive reviews.
Moreover they do no have respect of our privacy because they collect our details if we want to write a review

Can't even access site without signing up or leaving a review. Absolutely ridiculous way to get people to access the site. Some people just want to learn about a company they're interested in. Not everyone has the desire to leave a review.

Wont let you leave a negative review. Very untrustworthy site. Its clear companies put up they're own fake reviews.

horrible, removing reviews when they are bad.

I left a review on their website, after one month it got deleted, apparently it was not according to their guildelines, after one month of no issue.
The problem of the review was that my review was judgemental of that specific company thru criticism.
Instead of defending my review, they deleted it for the benefit of that company, so that it does not affect their rating. What a joke you are..
One of the most corrupt and fake review website I have ever used.

I watched a company go from 1.9 stars to 3.9 stars overnight. It went from 16 reviews down to 9, Every bad review just dissapeared . Glassdoor clearly has some sort of policy where companies can just have reviews taken down for no reason (Only bad ones of course) . If you're trying to find out any information about a company before you join then avoid Glassdoor because the ratings are fake and the bad ones have all been deleted

Absolute rubbish. Collect all sort of data before letting you visit the website.

Why do I have to provide salary, employer information to search for job. I don’t have one that’s reason am looking in website.

Constantly having to provide information to the website, which I already did, just to use it.. isn't really great for a user experience. More so when its a buggy mess and seems to lack many options.

Lastly.. when selecting a industry.. you do not even have Education listed.. quite a huge amount of us work in this industry called 'Education'.

Baffles me the site has such poor filtering.

Absolutely garbage website. You do not need to know my salary when I only want to VIEW YOUR WEBSITE. Should actually be illegal to farm this much data for no service in return.

Little to no customer service.
Clearly irrelevant/incorrect reviews that I flagged are being ignored. It seems they have no interest in fact checking, and would prefer quantity of reviews over factual correctness.
In conclusion I find the whole premise and trustworthiness useless.

I am a student and months ago I used this website for research on a project. Recently I needed to go back and get one screenshot to get evidence of my research. The website tried to get me to make a account, would not let me look at BASIC INFORMATION without one. When I tried to backspace out of this they MADE ME leave a review of a work place. I HAVE NEVER BEEN EMPLOYED. WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME????? After trying to lie about a work place (all of this for ONE SCREENSHOT) and eventually getting through that incredibly long process it told me I had to leave ANOTHER before I could even TOUCH the website. I refreshed the page one more time only to find that half of the UI was missing and I could not even access the page I needed. Awful awful awful.

I recently signed up to Glassdoor and formally wrote a negative review about my workplace. I was reasonable, I didn't slander anyone, and I even wrote a positive feedback about my workplace! The next day, my review gets taken down for "violating guidelines". I was honest and polite with my review, and I did not violet any of the guidelines listed, but I was still being falsely accused of posting "inauthentic reviews" and trying to "manipulate the conversation". Terrible experience, and terrible service. Do not get me started on how hard it was trying to deactivate my account!

Update 26/1: After successfully deactivating my account, Dawn Middleton randomly reactivated my account! This is absolutely appalling! Do you want me to use your platform or not?! DON'T sign up for this website!
