Supremely well packaged lens, exactly as described

Delivered as described, very promptly. Excellent value. Bought a Praktica BX20, case and lenses for £70.

I bought a zoom lens which was described as "very good" - it certainly is; I would say it's Excellent !
Delivery was was quick and the lens was well-packed.
Haven't put a film through yet, but everything seems functioning fine.

I first saw the item, a used Tamron f2.8 300mm lens model 60B (an old manual focus classic), on their ebay listing & noticed the link to their website where prices were claimed to be potentially cheaper. I contacted them by email & made an offer lower than their current online price, but they politely explained that I could get a better deal by subscibing to their newsletter & get 10% off my first order which would be combined with the item being further reduced for a limited time, so I took up that offer.

The item was received well packed & as described. The delivery card said that they had upgraded my shipping to express rate at no extra cost to me which was great, as delivery was free anyway.

Overall, I'm very happy & satisfied with my online purchase as I dont often tend to buy from online retailers outside of my normal preference of ebay or amazon.

Happy with the camera in the mystery box but clearly stated the camera would be in full working order.. my camera came without a battery! I've spent almost as much finding one as I paid for the original purchase. I gambled, I lost!

What great service, and what a gem of a find. I saw an old Pentax Takumar lens listed on eBay, with a very clear description of some problems (though not optically), and at a very low price. The seller stated that if the item was purchased direct from their own website, the price would be a bit less - and still post-free.
Indeed, this was the case and I bought the lens that way instead. A little bit of work and I now have a super, functioning lens attached to my old Spotmatic F. Very pleased with the lens, the price, and the service received. Would I recommend Gibson Cameras? Most certainly! Thank you to all at Gibson from one very happy customer.
