I will give ZERO STAR to this company. You will never get hold of customer service!!! THEY ARE SCAMMERS, they took 5 months to reimburse and i canceled their policy and because you cannot talk to anyone they kept charging me!!! WORSE IS THEY AUTO RENEW!!! So they keep charging!!!! DO NOT USE THIS PET INSURANCE!
I signed up with Odie because they were promoted through my job. They do not honor the response time set in their declaration material. They drip, drip, drip along giving excuses like high volume of calls, we need more information (when they already have it). They took 3 months to get around to even looking at my claim (they state 5 day turnaround). Difficult to get someone to speak to. And THEN they deny because they need more info. I wish I had looked up their poor rating before signing with them. I finally canceled.
Twice I have had two different claims payments returned by my bank for insufficient funds. Their excuse for why it happened is t valid. They are very slow to send payment and should be reported to the Insurance Commissioner’s office. While a new condition came up under the coverage of Many Pets, they are considering it a preexisting condition. However, since they bought out Many Pets it should be covered under the umbrella of not preexisting since it’s not the consumer’s fault the insurance company sold.
In a year I have only filed one claim with ODIE. The told me they needed my pet's full history for 18 months. I uploaded it to the portal twice. I called to check on the status of the claim and was told they need the full history from the date of pet's first visit to vet (4 years ago). Also, all my uploads suddenly disappeared. So now I have emailed all the records for 4 years. So far I am very unhappy with ODIE and do not recommend them to anyone.
I was picked up by Odie after Many Pets ceased operations. So far, so good. I had one claim that was honored 100% and paid in a timely fashion.
Hoping all future transactions are handled as nicely as this one.

Did not get a reply via email after three weeks to ask about porting over my insurance account that Odie recently acquired. Had to make a phone call at that point and was told I would get a response in a week. It took another month without any correspondence.

Paid in for years and the one time I put in a claim they denied it and the appeals. I gave supporting documentation and proof of a clear medical history and they still denied. Clearly just trying to take your money and never pay out.
I was switched to Odie when Manypets left the US and there is no comparison. Odie are thieves of your money and energy.
My claims take at least 6 weeks to be processed, I can't see any of my claims to verify the validity of what Odie does with deductibles and payouts, and when you call or email they don't respond to you. Yet, they take your money every month without fail.
They literally gaslight you when you call asking to see your claims, telling you to just look on the website (they removed the ability to look at your claims beyond the last few) and pretend to create a ticket and then never respond. These people are evil losers. Get literally any other pet insurance.

After being a ManyPets costumer for years, I was transferred to Odie with the promise that this company would have had the same approach. Nothing more far from reality. Odie's average response is 30 days (compared to ManyPets' 3 days), claims are denied first and then it starts a never ending process of reconsideration and review that leaves PAYING customers without the founds to keep supporting their pets. Meanwhile, Odie keeps receiving regular payments for their awful job. This insurance is a scam. Run from it.
My policy was sold by ManyPets to Odie (which I am still very frustrated about), and I kept my plan with Odie because my pets have preexisting conditions that would not be covered if I switched companies. In addition to worse coverage for more money, the claim processing time for Odie is incredibly slow. I have had claims take 3+ months to process. They always say they have a "higher than normal claim volume," but if that's true for every single claim, you just don't have enough staff to properly run your business.
I am a manypets customer transferred to Odie. I was extreamly scared after reading reviews especially once my dog was diagonosed with a tumor. Odie has been great and the turn around time for claims has been appropriate.
They take months to address questions or respond regarding claims. They miscalculate the amount they applied to the deductible and have not replied to my messages once I pointed out the math. They also deny claims for any "pre-existing" conditions that aren't lifelong/chronic issues, so if your pet had a minor sickness years ago they treat it like it's a chronic issue and say they won't cover the treatment now even though the sickness occurrences are unrelated. It's like if you cut your finger 10 years ago, they'd deny coverage for you cutting your finger today and needing a bandage because it was pre-existing—so incredibly dumb. If you appeal it, you have to get an official letter from your vet to back up your claim for appeal. There are dozens and dozens of complaints on ever platform for how bad Odie treats customers, so avoid them at all costs. Especially because they will allow you to cancel your plan but charge you the remainder of your yearly charges, even though they're not reimbursing you and denying your claims. Truly a horrible company that doesn't care at all for its customers aside from milking them for every cent possible. The review asks for a date of experience, but it's ongoing and always since ManyPets moved everyone to Odie. Don't make the mistake we did by staying with Odie under false promises and guarantees.
Absolute scam! I was transferred from Many Pets and Odie has been an absolute nightmare. They do not answer claims for MONTHS. Then they say “missing documentation”, when I have already uploaded it multiple times. Then they started saying the receipt was “blurry” - it was a PDF emailed from the vet! This company is an absolute scam and I hope a class action lawsuit is filed.
My experience with Odie Pet insurance is that it's a horrible company. I had insurance with Many Pets Pet Insurance, which went out of business and transferred my policies over to Odie. I was told anything that wasn't considered a pre-existing condition with Many Pets would also not be considered as pre-existing with Odie. However, Odie named several pre-existing conditions that I wasn't even aware my Pets had nor were pre-existing with Many Pets. Also, after one month I'm still waiting for them to process claims, which most of them they deny, which were same claims covered under Many Pets. I would rate Odie as zero if I could and would not recommend this company to anyone. Horrible!
Transferred over from ManyPets and was told that our documents showing that our cats medical condition was not a preexisting condition were lost, so all of our claims were denied. Do NOT use them - more expensive, and denied all coverage
We were transitioned from ManyPet insurance coverage for our dog to ODIE last August. Since that time we have had all three of our claims denied. One claim was for standard wellness care and checkup. The latest, and more significant, was for knee surgery to repair a damaged ligament. With the latest claim the fraud they are running became crystal clear. ODIE sends a link to your policy coverages. Not an attachment and nothing in print. You submit a claim based on that stated coverage. They kick the can several weeks with excuses about "higher than normal volume" and "your submitted invoice is blurry", etc to draw out the acceptance process. In the mean time, they edit your policy coverage to include language that specifically excludes the items in your claim. Once your policy is updated they deny your claim and reference the policy (via link). It was very clear in our case - the language was way too specific to our dogs situation. We read our policy (prior to the claims) and knew we should be covered. Then reading the linked only policy suddenly there is very specific, plain language that excludes the very thing we submitted the claim for. Wish we had screen captured (downloaded? not sure that was an option) our policy prior to the claim, then at least we'd have hard evidence for a lawsuit. We will submit a criminal complaint for fraud with the local Scottsdale PD. Avoid this company!
As another customer who recently posted this month, I too liked Many Pets before they got bought out by Odie. Similarly, I've had to advocate and prove myself HARD for claims they've denied. The policies are confusing, they take FOREVER to reply to email and even longer to pay claims, which they like to deny. For example, my pup was recently diagnosed with cancer and was given a treatment plan. First, all the bloodwork and tests that led up to his diagnosis resulted in Odie claiming that the results were "behavioral" where I had to resubmit multiple explanations, receipts, and medical histories of my dog over a span for 4 months. They still have yet to approve it. Second, the treatment medication given to my dog with cancer was denied because, again, it was deemed as "behavioral." I sent a long email appealing to the support team how it was not behavioral. They literally responded back 1 month later telling me I need to fill out an appeals form (which isn't conveniently located on their website). They then make you get a doctor's note, medical history, explanation and other burdensom documents wearing you down as a client. I still have yet to hear back from them and it's been several weeks. Third, my dog also has a heart murmur and I've submitted his medications and was paid back relatively quickly (maybe within 2 weeks?) But recently, I submitted the same medication receipt (that also had his cancer medication as well) and have not been paid after 1 month. My fear is that they're going to reject it for some stupid reason. For the submission of his cancer medication receipt, they claimed that the invoice was "too blurry" and when I checked, it was CLEAR as day. Again, this is the SAME receipt for his heart medication. I'm on the phone now with their representative and laid out how deeply problematic this situation was. He apologized and said that the invoice was NOT blurry and is sending it to their support team to be reviewed again. I wish I could leave as a customer but unfortunately my dog cannot be accepted by other insurance agencies because of his pre-existing conditions so now I'm stuck with this hell hole. Honestly, I might not even be a client after this experience. THEY ARE THE WORST. Do not give them your money. They will DELAY or DENY you and rely on your exhaustion!
I wish I could give 0 stars. My dog was injured at daycare and required emergency surgery — exactly the situation I have pet insurance for. Odie denied my claim after two months for “missing records” they themselves requested and my vet provided, then told me the claim couldn’t be reopened and had to be resubmitted from scratch. To call this incredibly frustrating and inefficient would be an understatement.
I strongly regret using Odie Pet Insurance. Unfortunately, my experience has been just as bad as many of the reviews you’ll find online—it genuinely feels like a complete scam.
I submitted a claim on 2/19 and, since then, have received four separate “update” emails that are clearly automated and provide absolutely no meaningful information. There has been zero real progress or communication regarding my claim, which is incredibly frustrating when you’re relying on timely support for your pet’s care.
At this point, I have no confidence in their service or claims process. I would never recommend Odie to anyone looking for reliable pet insurance.

I was one of the customers who got transferred to Odie from ManyPets. I decided to continue with them (with lower coverage and higher premiums) because the new policy with Odie was meant to cover what was covered under my ManyPets policy. Of course, I don't find out Odie considers my dog's heart condition to be pre-existing (when it was covered by ManyPets for years) until after I submit a claim to them and they deny it. I paid for months of premiums for something that did not cover what I was made to believe it did. They refused to refund me for past premiums on the basis that the coverage was misrepresented to me when I signed up. Had I known the new policy would not continue to cover my dog's heart condition, there would be no way for me to justify paying increased premiums. My premiums were raised at ManyPets year by year because of this condition.
The technicality they got me on was that based on the agreement they have the right to make determinations (separate from what ManyPets had determined previously) regarding the pre-existing condition status of an illness or disease. Of course, this is not done on transfer to the new company, so that it is clear what you are paying for, and if the "same coverage" functionally differs from your previous policy. Instead, it is done after months of paying premiums, when you request to be paid out for claims that have been approved for your dog for years.
How is a potential policyholder supposed to know the new company will make a different conclusion regarding a pre-existing condition status? Especially when this arrangement was set up to allow ManyPets policyholders a means to retain their same coverage? The entire agreement was pitched to us on the premise that this would ensure we would receive coverage for conditions covered under ManyPets.
I read and understood the fine print in the agreement before signing and agreeing to transfer. What I failed to understand is how motivated this company is to screw over customers by purposely obscuring the coverage they will receive.
