Can't recommend enough!
Matt is a walking miracle. I don't think I need to say much more!
My friend gave me Matt's email when my landlord tried to charge us £340 for damages we hadn't caused, repainting, and a deep clean.
Matt called me to talk through all the charges and reassured me that no matter what the outcome he would be able to at the very least reduce the figure they were charging. After the call, I sent him all my correspondence with the landlord and all the pictures I had taken and left him to do the rest.
During the dispute process, I was in the middle of starting a new job and suffering from my health. Matt was amazing and completely took the reigns so that I didn't have to worry about it. He went through everything with a fine-tooth comb and made us a report to dispute all the charges with detailed arguments that I would never have even thought to make.
After submitting the report Matt checked in multiple times to keep on top of the process and after a long wait we found out that TDS had ruled in our favour and reduced the charges to £40. Without that report there is no way we would have won so much back. I can't thank him or recommend him enough!!

I can't thank you enough
Get My Deposit Back gave an amazing service for free. I contacted Get my Deposit Back on Instagram for some advice regarding a charge my letting agent was trying to apply to me which I knew was illegal. I had tried to contact citizens advice but had been unable to get through and was unsure if I would be able to get thorough advice elsewhere. I explained that my letting agent was trying to charge me £350+ VAT for changing the name on a continuing rolling tenancy and Get My Deposit back confirmed the legal limit for this admin fee is £50. They then asked for a bit more information and sent me a free legal advice document with steps to follow to challenge the fee, that the letting agents were still persisting with, even after I'd challenged them on it.
I followed the advice and sent the letting agent the legislation showing what they were trying to charge was illegal and they stopped asking for the money, after giving a pathetic excuse for demanding it in the first place.
Don't get robbed by scamming letting agents or landlords and get some advice from Get My Deposit back- they are amazing! I can't thank you enough for your help.
