Generation Tux review
Suit came in exactly 2 weeks before event. It fit great, instructions were simple on how to return. Very happy with generation tux!

Suit came in exactly 2 weeks before event. It fit great, instructions were simple on how to return. Very happy with generation tux!
Two of my guys got sent the wrong size. One got sent the wrong fitting style once he finally received the correct size 3 weeks later (he’s a husky guy and got sent SLIM FIT). One guy didn’t even receive his shoes. The replacement stuff came in 2 days before the wedding after having to email them multiple times.
Seems to be a running theme but I was charged an extra $200 for "not returning" a pair of pants that was for sure in the return package
Company claims I didn't send a belt back when I did and said I would be billed $50. After company erroneously billed me twice the stated amount of $100. I shouldn't have been billed at all as I know for fact the belt was in the package.
DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE - They don't use measurements. Even if you know your measurements, they won't listen. My first suit they shipped me didn't fit. Called and even had a rep accept a picture of my measurements via email then they sent me back the exact same sizes again. Out of 10 people only 1 person's suit fit correctly. We were literally swapping pieces on the wedding day. Also, the quality was a joke for over $300. It felt like a Halloween costume. Use Mens Wearhouse or something like that 100x over this scam.
They appear to oppose honeymoon romance. So, after a wedding, they expect the groom, ON A HONEYMOON, a short one, to drive (or bike?) around Brooklyn or North Dakoda looking for a United Parcel Service shipper. And they charge daily for a fair tux that is great for a prom. The Tux had a broken item, or it was broken by the touch of a child. Weird company that offers fake concern for an appeal like I just made. They sell to those on a budget, and then narcissistically assume their fair product is your honeymoon epicenter and charge 125 US for five days. 1/2 rental fee.
They don't use measurements. You have to go online and leave your height, weight and body type (slim, regular or muscular - fat is not an option). Their "computer" uses an algorithm on your size based only on that information. We were told if the suit didn't fit, a replacement would be sent overnight. That's 100% CRAP! Yes, the suit came a week and a half before our son's wedding. It didn't fit at all. We called and had to send them pictures for them to go by. What we got on the second shipment was worse than the first! Called AGAIN, which was 3 days before the wedding. They were supposed to overnight another replacement. It did not come until hours before the wedding! Suits and tuxes by mail - DUMBEST IDEA EVER! Oh, and BTW it was VERY EXPENSIVE! I'd have given them a zero if I could have!
I rarely leave negative reviews, but Generation Tux was by far the most stressful part of our wedding. Their entire promise is to make renting suits easy and worry-free. Instead, we spent weeks chasing down mistakes, double charges, and missed deliveries.
One groomsman never got his jacket before the ceremony. It showed up the next day, so he had to rush and pay $200 to tailor the wrong one they sent. Generation Tux’s response? A $50 credit. That set the tone for everything else.
In the two months before the wedding, my husband had to call them at least 10–12 times, each time starting from scratch because nobody read the notes. We’d be told “it will arrive Tuesday” and still be waiting on Wednesday. The stress of not knowing if the suits would even arrive kept us up at night.
Yes, they refunded half the order — but then turned around and charged us late fees, even on suits that didn’t arrive until after the wedding. That’s policy over empathy, and it’s unacceptable for a wedding vendor.
PS: They also make it unnecessarily difficult to leave reviews. I had to dig through old emails to find the link. That’s a red flag — if they truly had happy customers, they wouldn’t hide the option.
All i needed was a pocket square. To get this pocket square, i had to fill out MANY pages of fit information. I had some fun with it, entering a 100" waist. With shipping, this thing cost me close to $40. It was slow in arriving, and came with a giant return bag. I verified it was mine to keep through their very slow email support. After the wedding, they demanded immediate return - and threatened fines of $25 per day late! Don't believe the 4.8 (or whatever) stars on their website.
I inquired about waiving/reducing the $25 per day late fee. I explained the rented items would need to be returned late due to my son entering the incorrect prom date. I did not expect a reduction or waiver to occur but the company never contacted me. I am disappointed that the company did not reach and work with me to address the matter. Due to my unfortunate experience I rate the customer service as MIA and the flexibility as none.
We rented 3 suits for my daughters wedding. Two weeks after the wedding I was charged $200 for apparently not returning my sons pair of pants. I can assure you I did. There were four other wedding party members that received emails about missing pieces. This has been a customer service nightmare. I’m still waiting to be credited the $200. Stay away
STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS! Terrible customer service and support, EXTREMELY SLOW SHIPPING, all around a nightmare company. They also extort guests at the wedding to cover costs. Its a terrible business.
My son got married on June 23, 2023. We returned all of our tuxes for the wedding on time. Five months later on November 16, 2023, my credit card was charged $600 by Generation Tux. They claimed they did not receive part of a tux. We returned all on time! I contacted Generation Tux many times (7+). They admitted their error and kept promising to credit my credit card. I still have not gotten my $600.
DO NOT RENT from Generation Tux.
THEY CHARGE YOU $25 EVERY DAY AFTER THE WEDDING. LITERALLY $500 SO FAR. THEIR UPS LABEL IS NO GOOD AND THE BOX DOESNT FIT IN THE UPS DROPBOX
BEWARE! I had a poor experience with them as well.
Website and staff claimed my wedding party only purchased 6 (the promo for "keep your tux" was 7 rentals). I went to my wedding and there were 8 people who rented from the site/my link. They informed me they "lost" my credit card information a couple of days before I was leaving for my wedding, so I ultimately decided to get my tux from somewhere else.
When I called after my wedding, they claimed they could not send me my tux to keep because 1) they didn't have my credit card on file and 2) I only had 6 people purchase a tux. Both of which were seemingly intentional mistakes through their system.
Their promotions are too good to be true and they fill find ways to get out of fulfilling there commitments. I do not recommend doing business with them. Generation Tux is shady.
This company sent poor quality garments that I would have been embarrassed to own were they not needed for a single event. Oil stains and a rip on the white shirt, pants that were falling apart, and a promised return window that's effectively useless. It sure seems like they are all to happy to send damaged goods and then collect damage fees because they sent you a damaged good. They promise a lot and deliver very little. 0/10 experience and will recommend everyone avoid this company. Any perceived convenience they offer is outweighed by the fact that the garments are poor quality and that customer after customer reports a similar dissatisfaction with return process. If I could give them zero stars I would.
Awful company - the suit rental cost me more than buying a suit. The quality was extremely low with very thin fabrics and poorly fitting pieces (the ties were a joke). The entire wedding party ended up with incorrectly fitting suits and we all needed to have them ship out replacement pieces. Their customer service was also awful, they didn't even ask me what I thought needed to be changed, I just told them my pants almost ripped when I put them on and the gentlemen said "ok I ordered you new pants" with zero explanation and then hung up. They said that the suit needed to be shipped back within 2 business days of the wedding but they are already harassing me with emails 12 hours into business day one to return it or I will face a fee tomorrow (earlier than they quoted). Even more insane, if you keep it too long (something like 4 days), you'll be charged an absolutely idiotic amount, something like 1000$ for easily the worst suit I have ever worn. I would never recommend this to any wedding party for any reason what so ever, we all looked fine in photos but groomsman were teasing each other for missing outfit pieces due to terrible fit. What a nightmare.
My initial suit didn't fit, and the requested updated size didn't arrive in time for the wedding... despite my initial order two months prior. I wouldn't recommend generation tux to anyone.
