Brilliant people to work with. We build garden rooms across the country and have tried a few different suppliers however, we have come to find the GBGS are the most fairly priced and when we came across a challenge, they were more than happy to help us without charge.

They gave a little and they little bit right there will make us want to use them for all out garden room projects. Special thanks to Paolo -> you’ve been amazing help!

I can't recommend this company enough. From my first enquiry to completion of the project they were extremely pleasant and helpful. My project was unusual in that it was fitting a base for a floor within an existing building. When I first contact GBGS I was planning to do the work myself and they were very helpful in working out what was needed. In the end, however, I decided to ask them to fit both the ground screws and the wooden frame and I'm really glad that I did. They did an excellent job in a very timely manner and were professional and friendly. I would definitely use them again and will recommend to friends and family.

The Royal Shakespeare Company's “Garden Theatre” has relied on Great British Ground Screws for its temporary structural support since its inception in 2021. Having just completed our 2024 season, it is safe to say that without the work of GBGS and their team, we once again would have really struggled to have found solutions to the many challenges which come from installation of temporary structures in relatively inaccessible locations. GBGS’s willingness to lend advice, and adapt to the changing circumstance we find onsite has been invaluable, and it is safe to say that our confidence in use of their products is second to none.

As a DIY'er, I was given some helpful advice on the phone before making my order. It was promptly delivered. A couple of the screws has tapped holes that were not centred, which made it difficult to attach one bracket and impossible for another. But fortunately, it was not 100% necessary to use the final bracket. The manual driving tool worked well even in my clay garden and I was able to drive 600mm by myself.

From the outset, these guys were competitive on price and really helpful in every way for the installation of our Glamping Pod in Alnwick. They inspired me with confidence to go ahead, liased well with myself and other contractors throughout the process and swifly overcame a couple of niggles to deliver my project on time and on budget. There will be other companies out there doing similar I am sure- don't waste your time with them as GBGS deliver every time! I will be using them again without hesitation (and I won't bother researching other companies then! as I know the quality of there work and helpfulness at all stages can be 100% relied upon.

Used ground screws to support a 6m by 5m workshop on sloping ground. Very cost effective and a lot easier than digging out, getting rid of the muck, mixing and pouring the cement etc.
GBGS were very efficient in processing (felt like they held my hand all the way) from the first discussion with Steve, doing the ground test and right up to delivery and installation.
I would not hesitate in using them again or recommending them to anyone else.

Ground screws used for a 3x5m shed project over the summer and would certainly use and recommend GBGS anytime. Much cleaner, easier and quicker than humping/mixing/pouring concrete!

Used 800mm screws in clay soil and you can screw them in by hand with leverage. (hammer the 1st screw in a few inches, bolt another screw flange to flange and use big adjustable and scaffold tube)
Keep an eye on the level though as they do tend to wander a bit.

Shed is rock solid and raised off the ground- timbers happy and dry ;)

Used ground screws to support a greenhouse on sloping ground. Very cost effective and much quicker than laying a concrete and brick foundation. GBGS were super efficient in processing and delivering the order. The delivery guy was great too in dealing with our difficult (lack of) parking situation.

We decided on GBGS after various quotes due to the quick and professional responses and to top it off the best price. Install was done in a day for 6mt x 6mt base for a summerhouse and deck. 18months on and no issues whatsoever. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

We have used this company to put in Ground Screw ‘s for 6 safari Tents in our glamping site, in really awkward places, but it was no problem to them. Would not hesitate to recommend this company.

Ease of installation process, good communication, friendly, experienced and knowledgeable staff

Simple quick and no mess. Installation team were wonderful. Quick, clean and professional. Project was a 8x2m side extension. Why do it any other way (if you ground is suitable). Would do it again without question.

We were constructing a timber lodge as residential accommodation and due to the uneven ground and a clay soil were advised that screws would be best. It took a bit of discussion to sort what length would be best as we had to comply with full building regulations due to the size of construction.
The installation was quick and done efficiently though we struggled to get inspection approval due to the clay soil and near by trees and the lack of experience within the inspection community of these type of screws.
Ultimately we ended up with structural surveyor getting involved and the trees were removed finally getting full approval.
GBGS company most helpful and one of their contacts helped with soil and tree advice.
Always make sure you get approval of method and drawings from inspector before starting work as difficult to tweak after. A test screw is always good and get a pull certificate.
Will use GBGS again great service and the product works and is cost effective when compared to a large slab of concrete.

I needed a large base for a 3.5 x 4m summer house. The site is slightly sloping. Initially I looked into a standard concrete base however due to the (slight) slope the contractors would have needed a day to dig out the area a further day to lay the base and several days for it to harden. Not to mention that we would have concreted a large area so not great for the environment.

Then I found GBGS. After explaining the project they came up with a plan for how many screws would be needed to support the summer house. Their quote was almost the same as the one for the concrete base.

On the day of installation they arrived promptly and within four hours the screws had been sunk and a wooden sub-frame built and attached to the screw-heads ready for the summer house to go on top. There was no mess or fuss and the best thing is if we no longer want the summer house the screws can be easily taken out so much more eco friendly
