The team that came to fit my new boiler were absolutely
brilliant, they were fast, efficient, very clean, they even drunk the tea I gave them on the go. Three hours is all it took them to install the new boiler, other firms quoted me two or three days. I am so pleased I choose Gas Assist from Bournemouth.
Good sales pitch but……
Good sales pitch presented by experienced engineer and the company boss. However, the bottom line is that there was very little difference between the products / pricing on offer from Gas Assist and the products / pricing available just about everywhere else in this sector of the market.
As an aside, I would suggest that Gas Assist employ a good Proof Reader to go through the text printed in their plasticised invoice folder. The content includes numerous spelling mistakes and one paragraph comprises the same text repeated word-for-word three times!

New boiler urgently fitted
New boiler was urgently required. Personally surveyed by Darren on the same day I requested a quote. Darren was helpful, clear & efficient & I felt confident to use Gas Assist due to Darren’s approach & experience in the trade. The Worcester boiler was efficiently fitted & we are pleased with the outcome. Tom the MD was very helpful.

Quite disappointed with the service
Quite disappointed with the service. After the engineer came , all great on time and professional chat, he only showed me a quote on his iPad, it wasn't even with all my details and the job, but someone else from completely different county. I never got the quote e-mailed to me. Also the engineer not looked properly to see where possible connections might happen, but said instead we will have to have a canal and a hole dogged in our garden. Not impressed. There was also a lot of negative comments said about other companies, businesses with the same profession, criticizing the way they do the job and treat the customer. All of that became a part of that experience I'm afraid, hence why we chose a different people to go with. Quote was not low and most attractive anyway. As I said, didn't feel we can choose someone who was not even bothered enough to send a quote to us.
After review : dear Gas Assist, please don't call me and demand taking this review down. I did not comment on the job you do (boiler fitting etc). My comment relates to dealing with a customer. It is rude to say to the customer that he has received the quote as it's automatic, where the customer knows the quote never arrived. When you send someone to the customer they don't know what is automatic at your job and what is not, so they expect to be treated as a human. Like I said, maybe Gas Assist do jus amazing job, I don't know, I only comment on my experience. Maybe I am wrong thinking once you go to see your possible customer - your job starts there, at that point, how you deal with first contact, quote etc. I hope that helps to improve your own services, so later on you don't have to ask your reviewers to change their mind or take their comments off, so it looks good for the business. Darren was very helpful in diagnosing an unusual problem with our existing boiler. He didn't push for a replacement but offered sound advice as the boiler was still in good condition for repair. Spent time inspecting the issue and didn't charge as no work was necessary. Very fair I thought and a pleasant manner. Wil certainly contact him if we ever need a full repair or replacement boiler.
